I'm feeling positive for the future. :)

ClaireSunflower · 11/07/2016 19:44

Thank you Claire, honestly last week I was a mess but I'm all cried out now and just want to get on with ttc again.
My DH has been great but he finds it really difficult to express his feelings so doesn't really want to talk about what's happened.

MishyBakes · 11/07/2016 21:13

HighHopes16 · 12/07/2016 06:33

You're all so lovely - thank you.
I did a pregnancy test this morning and it's still showing a faint positive so I want to wait till I get a definitive negative before we start ttc again. (The hospital have advised that may take another 2 weeks or so)

Niks2026 · 12/07/2016 16:52

Hey ladies. Hope you've all had a good day. I've been very crampy today, period like type pains. I don't know whether AF is imminent or if the cramps are something else accompanied with feeling sick, sore nipples, smelling everything!! I think I'm going to test Saturday. AF usually comes between day 28 and 31. Cd28 will be Thursday so Im hoping If AF hasn't shown by then Ill test Smile

user1468336922 · 12/07/2016 17:03

Hi I am new to this too.
I have been trying to concieve baby number 2 since October 2015 with no luck. I don't now what 2 do now..
Since stopping the pill (rivideon) my cycles have been getting longer and longer my last was 54 days this one's been 74 days now and still no period in sight.. it's really getting me down as my 1st is 5 yes 4 months now and didn't want a big age gap. I had blood test for hormones and 2 rule out things like throids ect waiting 4 results.
My gp mentioned being refered to gynecology. Am wondering has anyone else been in this situation b4.im really worried taking the pill has made me infertile as my periods were perfectly on time before the pill. I concieve my 1st a few days after stopping pill so took for granted that this would most likely happen again but absolutely not. Everyone says stop trying or just be grateful u have one baby which really winds me up as I'm so so grateful and we weren't trying hard just going with the flow. So hard to time any ovulation when cycles r soon long.
Any advice will be appreciated sorry for long post.. what happened next 4 u xx

BoBo90 · 12/07/2016 18:27

Fx af stays away for you Niks 😄

Hi User, I came off the pill in Nov 2015 and still trying and a few others in our group are in the same boat so you're not alone! It can just take a long time for cycles to return and with such long cycles you aren't getting many chances to concieve. It must be very frustrating for you!
The only thing I can suggest is taking a herbal tablet called Agnus Castus. It regulates your cycle and can help to shorten it 😊 It's not very expensive and might be worth giving a go! Xx

Hi user. I agree with Bobo. I'm coming up to cycle 9 and have been off the pill since October, ttc since January. May be useful for you to go through some of the old posts. If anything it may make you feel better X

Bobo where you at lovely?

I'm cd 32 with high temps still, sore boobs and no sign of AF. As per previous rantings
No idea how many dpo I am. To top off this month my cat is at the vets and the bill is £600 and the insurance company won't cover it because he had it three years ago. I'm just about ready for my holiday next week. ConfusedWineCakeBiscuitStarChocolate

How's everyone else ticking along? X

Loulabelle1990 · 12/07/2016 20:43

Hey user, I have been off the pill since December 2015 but been actively trying the past 2 months. My cycles have been all over the place, from coming off the pill to my first period was 72 days. Maybe it's just a case that your ovaries need to be 'woken up' as my GP put it! I agree with BoBo though, I have heard some great things about agnus castus and maybe see what your GP says.

How are you getting on bobo with the cold turkey cycle??

High temps is a good sign johno! And all the other symptoms. I hope AF stays away for you Grin. When are you going to test?? Sorry to hear about your vet bills! What a nightmare! Where are you off to on holiday?

Nearly at the end of my AF. I have to say, this is the first AF I've had since coming off the pill. Usually it lasts 2 or 3 days but this time it's been a lot longer which I guess is a good sign??

I've had a lovely day at broadstairs beach with DH today and also a spot of retail therapy! Was so nice to just be in each other's company Smile

BoBo90 · 12/07/2016 21:06

Sounds promising Johno! 😄 I will keep everything crossed for you! when is testing day?

Lou I imagine that a good sign your body is getting back to normal 😊 My af was longer this cycle after stopping ac and I'm taking it as a good sign!

Cold turkey cycle is going great ladies!! I didn't even realise I was up to cd14 today as I haven't been keeping track 😊 Started on our dtd every other day plan now but I don't expect to ov until cd20-25 but I'm much more chilled about it all which is lovely 😊 I would definitely recommend going cold turkey next cycle!! Xxx

Sounds promising johnjo!

Cd 29 for me, no sign of af, nausea and vomiting the last 3 days and my stomach feels different. I'm planning on testing on Friday. Does anyone else get really nervous to test? I am dreading seeing a negative result.

sarahhh1984 · 13/07/2016 06:26

I'm dreading testing, sparkle. I'm due to test on Sunday. My only symptoms are incredibly sore nipples, darkening of the areolas (also gone bigger and bumpier) and lots of discharge. Veins in my boobs seem to be getting darker too and I had a nasty case of heartburn at the weekend, which I've never had before in my life. (OH confirmed he thinks my boobs look different and have been changing over the last few days so I at least know that's not in my head!)

But it's only cycle #1 for me so I know I'd have to be seriously lucky to have conceived so I keep telling myself it's just my hormones getting back to normal as I don't want to get my hopes up.

All the same, dreading seeing a BFN. Sad

Johno85 · 13/07/2016 07:17

Hey Lou. I think getting regular irregular AF is a good start anyway. Lol. Mine have been 3 and 4 days since coming off he pill and very light. Guess that's one good thing.

Temp still high this morning. 36.91. That's the joint highest I've ever had- last one dipped the day after to AF Envy

I'm going to test on Friday morning with a cheapie as we're off to Leeds for a long weekend with sil and her chap. Very excited but defo would be helpful to know if pregnant otherwise will be worried about pickling my unborn in alcohol!

Then if bfn and no AF I'm going to test next Saturday morning with frer before we head off to turkey for two weeks.

Fx I pick up the cat today and that will be one less thing to stress about!

Bobo sounds like cold turkey is the way to go. That's definitely my plan after this cycle if necessary.

Sparkle I don't really get nervous anymore, think it's because I'm a seasoned pro and so used to BFN! I think when I actually get a BFP my jaw will hit the floor!

Fx for everyone testing this week X

peskyfeelings · 13/07/2016 07:22

Hello to all newbies and Fx for everyone soon to test! This thread moves pretty fast. I will have to have a proper catch up after work.

That's if I ever get there. Fertility Friend is driving me bonkers at the moment. Does anyone else find that it turns them into a crazy mad woman? I'm scared I'm losing the plot and it's only my 3rd month ttc!

sparkle789 · 13/07/2016 07:58

I caved and tested this morning with a tesco digital and its a bfn :( I'm hoping it's too early/not sensitive enough.
They look exactly the same as the clearblue ones just in different packaging. Might pick up some others today. Is it super drug that are good ones?

peskyfeelings · 13/07/2016 08:11

I've heard SD ones are good for early testing Sparkle.

Good luck!

Johno85 · 13/07/2016 09:52

How many dpo are you sparkle?

SummerHopin · 13/07/2016 10:12

Hello ladies, I'm new and hoping for some company please.
Came off Rividigeon end of March to ttc#1. Had 2 cycles of equal length with 2 day AFs and latest AF was due Friday 8th July. Had the pains to tell me that AF was coming (always get those "here it comes" pains) but then nothing?! Took a test on 9th - BFN. Still nothing by 11th - another test - another BFN.
......now at 13th and still no AF?! I'm very interested about silly long cycles that people have been discussing - presumably this is just a big long cycle? I'm frightened of testing again as each BFN is like a punch in the face :( even after only a few months.
Havent been testing for ovulation either at this time, just using menstrual app. Keep getting really worried that I left it too long to come off the pill.
Any thoughts?
