Niks I'm due AF next Thursday so ill and test on Friday, IF I can hold out that long. Had some funny twingy cramps today but I'm not really sure if they mean anything at all.
Are your cramps in your ovary or cervix area?
Xx

Johno85 · 08/07/2016 18:16

Cheers purple. In a nutshell we were both tired and dtd and we're both tired of dtd so much! I think the comment "I'm not a robot!" Sums it up lol. Hang on in there waiting. Good sign about the temps.

mishy how many dpo are you? Symptoms are promising. If I don't get my BFP this cycle I'm gonna be utilising the lady garden from now on for sure.

Hey bobo. I'm gonna ov or explode lol!!!! I was proper Blubbing, we're talking puffy eyes, swollen lips (on my face for any of you rude ones lol). Not cried so much since a certain episode in greys anatomy!

sarah10 how many dpo are you? My boobs are doing the same thing, but they did this to me last cycle so not letting them lull me into a false sense of security lol.

Hey cookie. Hope the witch isn't too bad. I think you just need to go to the gp and tell them bullet style. I speak to gps regularly working in the Nhs and they have so little time they really just want the facts and to know what they need to action. Remember we have the right to be referred on and choose where we have our Treatments.

Hold in the urge to scream in his face niks lol. I'm defo more moody and emotional since being off the pill. Fx all your symptoms are good ones X

MishyBakes · 08/07/2016 18:52

Thanks sparkle and Niks. And sorry I keep offloading here, I need to learn to cope better during the tww!

I think I'm 11 dpoJohno. I keep changing my mind about the symptoms. Sometimes I think they could be promising, othertimes I think they just could be really bad PMS. I've had constant crampy/twingy pelvic symtpoms since ovulation, and my boobs have got increasingly tender, heavy and achey. Nothing conclusive. All my tests so far have been bfns. Having seen a fair few people on these boards take FRER tests etc. at 9 dpo and get positives does make me lose hope that I've been successful this cycle.

Totally agree about the bullet point style consultation with the GP. 10 mins is not a long time, so I've always found it useful to bullet point my history: this is the problem, this is when it started, these are my symtpoms, here are my concerns/expectations.

Loulabelle1990 · 08/07/2016 19:38

Sorry AF got you cookie and your short LP. Is there anything you can take to make it longer? Would doctors be able to assist?

Good luck to those in their TWW. We need another BFP on this thread! The symptoms sound promising though mishy!

AF turned up like a bitch today Sad. Onto cold turkey cycle 6!!

How's your cold turkey cycle going bobo? xx

Johno85 · 08/07/2016 21:05

Soooo. I have got wicked cramps. Watch this space for the arrival of the witch! Sad

Niks2026 · 08/07/2016 21:20

Johno your comment made me chuckle. It has literally been the hardest thing to not scream in his face! Haha. I have to take a deep breath and distract myself with something else!
*
Purple* they are kind of central. Really difficult to describe. This evening, the smell of the kitchen made me feel ill, I could smell everything! Dinner didn't go down to well either. Way to early to even think of testing and I hope I'm not just symptom spotting.

I'm off out tomorrow night for a friends birthday. I'm not sure whether to drink or not?!?

Niks2026 · 08/07/2016 21:21

Sorry AF for you Loulabelle. Big hugs. Anything different you think you'll try next cycle?

Cookie22 · 08/07/2016 21:40

Thanks lovelies, yous really are all just so reassuring and a friendly ear at times like this when all I want to do is moan!

Loula, sorry to hear AF got you too. Here's to a month of cold turkey raises a glass. I took b6 this month as its meant to help lengthen the LP but it did nothing. Maybe if I keep taking it long term it might have an effect- I shall try!

Johno, thanks for your advice doll! I think I'm going to phone on Monday morning and get an appointment sorted. I'm more concerned, at the moment with my quite severe ovulation pains every month. Hopefully they'll take notice of that even if they dismiss the luteal phase concerns I have! Hope ov comes for you soon lovely, I don't want you to explode lol!! Do you think you might have already ov'd?

Happy weekend everyone!! Xx

Johno85 · 08/07/2016 21:53

Hey niks glad to entertain lol.

Erm probably because I'm a piss head I'd say drink drink drink WineWineWine. Think of all those randoms who get knocked up accidentally when out on the razz lol.

Cookie have you tried agnus castus. I take it up to the point I think I've ov and the first month I took it was my shortest ever cycle. Keep us posted about the docs. I'll try not to explode my very best GrinI really do think I've ov already especially as I had spotting around that time. Glow tells me I'm 9dpo although my temps don't agree.

Cookie22 · 09/07/2016 08:13

Hi Johno, yea I've been taking Agnus since around January but I still don't ov until around CD 25/26 which is annoying! Maybe I need some extra progesterone or something for after the egg pops. Who knows!!

Fx you've popped one out then Mrs! When you going to test? Felt any symptoms? I'm off to a wedding today where 2 of my close friends will be there preggers (1 of which just announced her happy news last week). Pass the wine! Xx

ClaireSunflower · 09/07/2016 09:16

Sorry about AF cookie and loula and everyone else having annoying cycles.

cookie I've been taking bcomplex vitamins for my luteal phase and i would say stick with it as I heard it takes a few months to build up in your body. In just 2 months of taking it I've gone from a 7 to 11 day lp. Hang in there with it and hopefully it will start having an effect soon.

I am all for having a cold turkey cycle! I'm on cd10 now and have actually managed to take my mind off ttc (for the most part) this cycle and just relax a bit so doing no opks will do me some good! Dh and I are dtd every other day anyway so don't need to worry about missing ovulation.

Purpleviola14 · 09/07/2016 09:59

Claire that's good, my plans exactly, nice and relaxed. Can't wait to get this cycle over with, currently 5dpo but not holding out much hope, my bb pain has virtually gone and have zilch other symptoms.
Then it's cold turkey all the way, like a mini ttc holiday.
I agree about the bcomplex, i actually feel so much healthier since taking them, like my hair is thicker and I could tighten a screw with my nails.

Hope you ladies who are making docs appointments get some actual help and they don't fob you off
Xx

peskyfeelings · 09/07/2016 11:25

Morning all.

I know I'm not on there much, but could I ask about people's experiences with cervix position after coming off the pill? (What a delightful topic :) )

I've just started temping this month and also have bugger all EWCM. However I did get a postive OPK day before yesterday (first one ever!) and I'm getting ovulation style twinges.

My cervix just never seems to do that open, high and soft malarkey that every one talks about. Does anyone else ever have this, or does it mean I'm not actually ovulating? We've been doing it morning and night for past few days, but if the swimmers can't actually get in there then what's the point?

I'm actually getting quite emotional about it this morning. TTC was fun for about the first 5 seconds and now I'm a nervous wreck!

BoBo90 · 09/07/2016 12:39

cookie the cold turkey cycle is going well so far :) nice and relaxed! We're going to start dtd every other day starting Monday and keep it up until a bit after I think I've ov'd 😄 No point startig too early otherwise dh is knackered by ov day haha!

Pesky I've only recently started checking my cervix, so far it was high, squishy and closed during the tww and after af it was low and firm and a little open for a bit. Tbh it's hard to tell if it's changed much so it could be changing and you just not know! When mine felt open it didn't feel like a gap but the whole dip where it opens just felt wider if that makes any sense haha😆

OP posts:
peskyfeelings · 09/07/2016 13:39

That sounds about the same as mine BoBo. I'm just not sure about this "soft, high and wet" thing when you're supposedly ovulating. I keep touching my lips and nose to see which one it feels like! It doesn't help that I have bugger all EWCM, so can't use that as I sign either.

I never thought the day would come when I would be chatting with strangers online about my cervix! The things wanting a baby does to you. Haha :)

BoBo90 · 09/07/2016 14:50

Haha I know it makes all into crazy loons! 😆

I found the website below really helpful as a guide so I know what I'm actually feeling and the changes. They have pictures of the cervix in the galleries and some have a pic every day of the cycle so you can see what happens in there 😊 Not good if your grossed out by that sort of thing but I definitely feel like I have a better understanding of my downstairs 😉

Am I the only one who has never ever considered their cervix to be low? Mine goes between high and medium. Perhaps the only
Consistent thing about my cycle Grin

peskyfeelings · 09/07/2016 16:02

That site is fascinating BoBo. Thank you. I'm quite tempted to buy one of their self examination kits now! :)

Johno85. I never think mine is high! It feels quite low nearly all the time.

Then again, perhaps it's all just our different interpretations of the same thing? I could have done with an "all about your cervix" lesson when I was at school.

sarahhh1984 · 09/07/2016 18:25

Sorry to the ladies who've had their AFs and good look to everyone embarking on a cold turkey cycle!

I can't wait for this time next week when I can test (assuming AF doesn't rear her ugly head before then). My nipples are so sore it's ridiculous. My boobs in general are fine - if a bit bigger than normal - but my nipples are so tender! Sad

Plus, I have a lot of creamy white discharge (tmi, sorry!) to the point where I keep thinking either AF has shown up or I've had an accident! Blush

Just want to test and know one way or the other. If it's a BFN then I'm going to have to start working on some patience techniques!

Xx

Sarah1087 · 09/07/2016 20:17

Hi girls how are you all ?

I'm so confused. Obviously not had any bleed since 31/05 02-06

Lots of symptoms pg test bfn

Change in cm.

Well earlier I felt so wet n thought af here and I checked. Not at all it was cm very clear sticky and I could stretch it between my fingers.

Isn't that fertile mucous xx

ClaireSunflower · 09/07/2016 22:06

johno I've never felt mine to be low either, seems to vary between high and medium but never seems to change softness or openness, maybe I'm just not checking properly who knows! If you'd told me a few years ago that I'd be obsessing about cervixes and cm I'd have not believed it haha, this ttc business does some funny things to you!

Jjspoon · 09/07/2016 23:00

I always felt like mine was really low but I don't know what low or high is meant to be?! Is there like a guideline of measurements lol

BoBo90 · 09/07/2016 23:25

Sarah sounds like you are about to ov!! Lots of dtd and you might get a bfp first cycle!! It's been a long wait for you but seems like it will be over soon 😄

Whether your cervix is high or low varies for each person. It's basically how far in you have to reach! When mines high I struggle to reach and feel the opening, when it's low I can find it easier (still struggle a bit)

Best thing to do is keep checking it regularly and check it straight after af. Mine seems to be high a soft all the time except after af for a bit 🙂 So that might give you a more obvious change to compare too xxx

OP posts:
peskyfeelings · 09/07/2016 23:29

I would LOVE,to see that comparison chart Jjspoon.

Although sometimes the more you read the more paranoid you get. I certainly never thought I'd ever be this obsessed with my cervix! My dp must be sick of hearing the word by now 😃

Jjspoon · 10/07/2016 00:41

Mine is definitely always low then, I don't even have to put a finger all the way in to feel it... only just past the second knuckle TMI lol sorry Blush it's also really far back though kind of angled funny. I guess when I start having appointments later on I'll find out if it's normal as I hear they measure it to make sure it's not too short (otherwise you need a quick op to put a stitch in) and to see if it's facing back etc (which I think mine is).

I much prefer this thread to the pregnancy one I'm on lol maybe I'll just stay here. You guys are all lovely!
