Thanks bobo!!!! I'm in complete shock at the moment..... defo need to go and buy another one now. When will you test again? Still no af for you yet?

Jjspoon · 28/06/2016 14:06

Oh sorry bobo just read you got bfn earlier... I posted without reading up to date in my haste and shock. Fx for you anyway...

BoBo90 · 28/06/2016 14:21

Haha that's alright lovely! I'll let you off given the circumstances 😉

Do any of you ladies check your cervix? I cant feel the opening 😣 I noticed a little lump on mine a few weeks ago and thought it's probably just a cyst but I swear it's got bigger! I'm now thinking maybe it's blocking the opening 🤔 Sometimes I wish our reproductive parts were external so we can keep an eye on them! Men have it so easy 😄

Congratulations Jj! And fx that you see your BFP soon, BoBo.

I'm now in the midst of Mystery Cycle (aka Cycle #1). Withdrawal bleed is over so need to see if/when AF turns up, with lots of DTD in the meantime!

Keep wishful thinking that it will show up nice and regular or I conceive in the interim and don't have to worry about it!

Xx

Purpleviola14 · 28/06/2016 16:21

Agh Jj!! Congratulations lovely!! Soo happy for you, how many Dpo are you? Did you have any obvious symptoms? Xx

Purpleviola14 · 28/06/2016 16:24

Bobo I do, it's hard to tell isn't it. I always feel like mine is low but can never tell if it open or closed. If you think it's a cyst though I'd go get it checked to be on safe side.
Xx

marmitetoast1 · 28/06/2016 18:00

Aahh jj congrats!!!!! Just thought I'd check in briefly from Italy and this is super exciting news! Grin

CD33 here, no sign of AF. Caved and poas this morning, just an IC (have a Frer stashed for later in holiday if needs be!) was a bfp. The waiting game continues...I had such a horrible stressful month at work I wonder if AF will be even more delayed than last few cycles... Hmm

marmitetoast1 · 28/06/2016 18:01

Ha I meant a bfn!! Blush clearly have bfp on the brain!!!

Cookie22 · 28/06/2016 18:02

Wow congratulations JJ! Amazing news!! How many dpo are you?? Claire and Bobo, hoping your Bfns are still just a reluctant positive bean that's taking its time to show! You ain't out till the witch rocks up ladies!

Quick question (especially for those who got their Bfps!), how many days should you still keep up the dancing once ov has happened?! I think I dtd too often on the build up then as soon as the neg OPK shows I put my feet up and stop. Maybe this is where I'm going wrong?! Who knows! Xx

Jjspoon · 28/06/2016 18:27

Thanks everyone :). I didn't do any tests or temping so just judged my ov date by cm and a big increase in libido lol and I think it happened on cd15. Today is cd28 so 13dpo.

bobo I've been attempting to check my cervix but tbh it always felt the same, no changes really and it always seemed really low so I have no advice there sorry!

purple I had no symptoms compared to what i expected, I was really expecting a BFN due to lack of them. I've been feeling a bit dizzy when I stand up sometimes but it's so early on I have no idea if that can be related or not. I've had cramps the last 2 days just like mild af ones but obviously no af turned up. Apart from that I just feel fine! No pmt or emotional wreck like I was last month before af turned up and no sickness or even sore boobs yet luckily!

cookie I guessed ovulation at cd15 and we dtd cd10, 12, 15 and 17 so nearly every other day. To be honest I'm really shocked still, I didn't even know if I was ovulating again yet and wasn't sure we had done it enough but must have done! We haven't done it since... poor OH lol but we've been moving house the last week so just haven't found the time. Hope this helps :)

ClaireSunflower · 28/06/2016 18:38

Ah jjspoon That's amazing! Congratulations and what a clear bfp! So happy for you.

bobo I have this too and have had a small bump on my cervix too. When I had a smear test a couple of years ago the nurse said it was likely to be a nabothian cyst which is harmless. All my smear tests have come back normal so not worried. They are fairly common and I've noticed a change in size recently according to where I am in my cycle. It gets bigger in the 2ww for some reason! If you are worried though get it checked out just for your peace of mind.

I will do another test tomorrow if no AF by then. Feeling more crampy this afternoon though and pinprick size red blood on toilet paper earlier. Trying to think positive but we will see!

MishyBakes · 28/06/2016 20:25

That's wonderful news Jj, so happy for you!!

Bobo, I'm in the same boat as Claire re nabothian cyst. It's good in a way that you're regularly checking to see if there are any changes. My guess is that you can get it seen by a doctor or sexual health nurse? Then they can decide what course of action (if any) to take. From what I've read, it doesn't impact on fertility/conceiving.

In case anyone is interested, I'm posting the results of my "experiment" Grin. For me, the OPKs from amazon worked best, and I think I was able to detect my LH surge. I couldn't find the sensitivity range for the CB dual OPK, but I think it's not sensitive enough for me. I've added my BBT and when EWCM appeared, to show that it very likely correlates with ovulation. I think I'll be using the amazon strips from now on! Into the tww I go! Fx for everyone Smile

Cookie22 · 28/06/2016 20:42

Thanks for that info JJ, I guess i should keep up dtd for another few days to cover myself. Poor DH is stressed because of work and not really in the mood but I'll try my best to seduce lol.

I thought i'd let you all know that This Morning are doing a Fertility phone in special tomorrow morning. I'm on my school holidays at the mo (Scottish teacher!) and have been able to indulge in daytime tv. It looks quite interesting so yous might want to watch/record! xx

Loulabelle1990 · 29/06/2016 13:15

Ah congratulations JJ! So happy for you Hun!

I tried to post yesterday but it wouldn't let me & said there was an error??

Anyway. Sorry for those wit bfn's! Fx your just testing too early!

Bobo - I only text once a day with my CB. Another flashing smiley today so I'm not going to test anymore this cycle as I also used my last stick! DTD from the day I first got a high reading on Wednesday to Sunday so hoping if it had missed my surge, that my egg gets caught! Just so frustrating as I've no idea how many DPO I am or if I even ovulated! Hey ho xx

BoBo90 · 29/06/2016 13:50

Af arrived this morning (a day late Angry she was clearly winding me up) so I'm now on cycle 6/month 8. Dh and I decided we would go old school this cycle so no AC, preseed, pregnacare or opks! Just good old cm monitoring, folic acid and dtd every 2/3 days. I am actually looking forward to seeing how my body is doing without all the extra help Grin

Thanks for all the cervix advice ladies Grin I think it's probably just bigger during the tww. I'll see what it's like after af buggers off and decide if I can be bothered to show my foo foo to a dr/nurse Blush

Cookie - I didn't get home from work in time for This Morning today Sad any interesting advice on there?

Lou - The only thing I can think that would stop you getting a solid smiley then is that you are missing your surge by testing once a day. I know you are only meant to with the cb ones so not much you can do... but if you had a surge half way through the night it might be gone by the time you test the next day Smile fx that you caught that pesky egg my lovely Grin

Hi, I've been lurking since I joined this thread.

On cycle 3 now. Cd 16 and I got a static smiley on the opk this morning. I'm so relieved when we were ttc dd2 I only ovulated 2 in the year we were trying so I've been worried it was going to be the same this time, but a positive opk gives me hope!

Loulabelle1990 · 29/06/2016 17:33

So AF got you bobo! Onwards and upwards to next cycle!

That's what I am thinking, I have just missed my surge! I actually want to punch the flashing smiley in the face so I can't test anymore cos it's stressing me out!

I am going to adapt the same attitude as you next cycle! I've said to DH the opk is just stressing me more than it should so I'd rather DTD at least every other day throughout my cycle and hope we catch the egg that way!

Welcome sparkle! Glad you got Mr static smiley! Fx for you xxx

Loulabelle1990 · 29/06/2016 17:34

That was meant to say sorry AF got you!!

Jjspoon · 29/06/2016 17:36

Eeeeee I'm in the preggo section lol.

Sorry to hear AF appeared bobo... fx for this cycle and taking a more relaxed approach. This ttc stuff is so stressful!

I'm feeling so nervous every single time I go to the loo that I'm going to find blood... I haven't at all but I'm still having cramps. I know it's normal but it's just scary now :(

I have a work night out Friday... first time I'll have to make up an excuse for not drinking. And the first drink is free. Not sure how I'll get round that one, not even having the free one?! I'm thinking I might say I feel a migraine coming on so don't want to worsen it but I hate lying to anyone even if it is a little fib! Or maybe just accepting it and chucking it down the loo when no one is looking...

sarahhh1984 · 29/06/2016 17:44

My friend had to do that recently, Jj. She found the best excuse was pretending she was on antibiotics for a sinus infection. As it gave her a full week of excuses so she was covered for two weekends! She said the other one was a pretend migraine. That one was a work night out so she was able to make a big show of pretending to take her migraine tablets during the afternoon in the office. Wink

ClaireSunflower · 29/06/2016 18:40

Sorry about AF bobo hope you're ok and that next cycle will be the one. I think will be joining you with the witch soon as I've had cramps all day and pink/brown cm which is a sure sign she's on the way.
Did a test this morning (11dpo) and bfn for me. Will try again tomorrow.

Glad you're doing well jj it's a tough one with not drinking around work people isn't it! My work go out for drinks quite a lot and I've even had comments about why I am not drinking so much (cutting down when ttc - not that they know) especially in the 2ww. And that's even when I've had one or two glasses of wine!

Cookie22 · 29/06/2016 19:16

Sorry to hear about af Bobo, you poor thing! It gets harder every cycle doesn't it? Sad hugs Mrs, look after yourself FlowersChocolate The fertility special on This Morning was quite interesting though didn't really tell me anything that I didn't know already! Quite a lot of the calls were based around age & fertility. Would recommend watching it on catch up!

Ooh JJ I think I would struggle with the not drinking excuses too. Everyone sees me as the social butterfly 'life and soul of the party' type girl & I think they would know right away if I said I was on the orange juice all night. The migraine excuse sounds like a good one! Xx

marmitetoast1 · 29/06/2016 22:43

Hi all, so AF has just arrived this evening. A bit annoying but not feeling too down about it as was only cycle 2 and actually is quite good timing really as off to a vineyard tomorrow - silver linings!! Wine Also, that means I've had a 33 day cycle which I'm pretty chuffed about as finally within the 'normal' range. Onwards and upwards for cycle 3.

Sorry for your AF bobo

Hope you managed the not drinking excuses ok jj!!
