Good luck to you Claire. I am going to try and not symptom spot as much as possible this time round or I'll go mad I think. 2 months does feel like a long time, especially with ttc is constantly on your mind! Luckily none of my friends are having babies yet, so I will be the first. Although it does make me a bit jealous when people conceive after a month or two off the pill and have normal cycles return!

Do you have any more symptoms today Susie? When are you going to test?

You should try to feel a bit more positive Cookie - the negativity will get you nowhere! I know how hard it is to feel disheartened though - I know of someone who were trying for 10 years! Scary! FX with your ovulation :-) xxx

It's so easy to get stuck in a rut with this but I am sending positive vibes your way!!

Well today I have had some stabbing pains on my left side which seems to have stopped now, I am assuming they were ov pains?! So I believe I may have ovulated today. DTD this morning and will again tomorrow for good measure and the the tww will commence from tomorrow!

Have your lines got any darker on your OPK's? xx

Thanks Cookie I know how you feel and in some ways I think it's good to feel a bit more resigned to the fact it might not happen each month. It stops the obsessing and getting too hopeful to be let down. Obviously I agree with Lou that we all have to stay positive that it will happen just not straight away. That's how I am feeling now too and its a relief not to be so crazy about it all Great news about the opk lines! Get dtd and catch that egg hun!

Lou - good luck in your tww! Try not to obssess too much I hope it flies by for you!

Cd1 here Af seems to have arrived so not too bad a wait! 37 days instead of 33-35 Hoping I just had a natural anovulatory cycle (they say everyone has 1/2 a year) and it wasn't due to any problems. I did realise the other day that out of my 4 cycles I have had 1 anovulatory, 1 where I had a positive opk followed by another 2 weeks later so struggled to ov and I've only felt the egg release once in total.... starting to think I have only actually ov'd once

Little update as it's so busy in here it's hard to keep track

Yes I'm 3 days overdue but waiting to test on Friday (27th) which makes me a week late as my cycles are all over the place (still!!) & I don't want to waste a test.

I had awful stomach pains yesterday so could be super late ovulation? or most likely AF making her way over but we shall see!

Glad AF has arrived BoBo! At least you can try to pinpoint things more easily now. Have you been doing OPK's? Maybe your just missing the surge?

AF is due on 3rd June but I will be 14 DPO on 6th June. When should I do a pg test? Assuming I don't come on on the 3rd? xxx

High - have you got any opks to do a quick check for late ov? Fx it's not af. Could be the egg nestling in!

Lou - yeh I've been doing opks every month, I've had a surge every cycle apart from the one just gone. Normally the line fades out before and after ov but last cycle I had a faint line all the way through and ov pain for about three weeks! Very annoying cycle but onwards and upwards 😄
People often pick up a bfp at 10dpo on frer so you could test from then 😊 Xxx

Implantation is a lovely thought :)

I've got some opks at home BoBo but I could never get the hang of them - I tried them for a couple of months & I never saw two strong lines so I got fed up!! hmmm

When we started ttc in Dec I had this thought that I'd love to be pregnant before Fathers Day in June - then I could present DH with my BFP! Doesn't look like my little dream is going to come true though! lol

Oh I see. So maybe you never actually properly ovulated this cycle just gone! It's so strange what our bodies decide to do isn't it. Hopefully this month is your month! I am spreading baby dust all round.

I'd be too scared to do a FRER too early in case it's a false negative! Think I'm gonna try and leave it until at least 14 DPO (assuming AF hasn't turned up by then!).

Highhopes have you tried using the clear blue OPK's? I used the dual hiring one and thought it was excellent and very easy to use!!! That sounds like such a lovely thought doesn't it. I would've loved to have been preg in April or May to get my mum a nan birthday card or one for my MIL but that never happened! xxx

Not much to report here. This 2ww is dragging. I'm 6dpo today and hoping af isn't going to arrive. I've had a bit of a crampy feeling today along with some lower back pain so I've a horrible feeling af will rear her head in a couple of days. Last month I only had a 7 day luteal phase which was a bit worrying so I hoping the b vitamins I've been taking this month will at least lengthen it by a few days.

I'm back! So we were going to wait til next month to ttc but when I noticed some ewcm last week I thought what the hell!

Guessing from my cramps and ewcm that I ov'd on Monday 16th, DTD only once that night so it's a long shot but fingers crossed. So I think that puts me about 7dpo. This is cycle 1, ttc #2. Not sure when to test - may not be able to hold out for when AF is due on Sunday as I've got a clearblue digi calling me...

Hope those of you who are also on the tww are not getting too fed up with the slow passing of time!!

Morning/Evening haha! I'm in sunny San Francisco at the moment, don't worry I haven't abandoned you all I've just been super busy and trying to relax haha! We fly to Vegas tomorrow I'm so excited hubby has had me walking bike riding and swimming.. But apart from the sore boobs which are easing off slightly now and the extreme exhaustion (napping when we get back in the room before tea) then sleeping from like 9-8am I feel great, a little too good tbh but what will be will be and looking forward to my scan on the 8th June! My nausea has stopped and only been sick once although still can't go anywhere near red meat or eat it infact. The thought of burgers and meatballs make me heave!

How is everyone where is everyone up to on the ttc? And hello to all the newbies!

Lou I've only ever used the Poundland OPK's (green handled.) The clear blue ones are so expensive - might be tempted if we don't get lucky in the next few months though.

I still have an ache in the left side of my stomach so think AF is going to rear her ugly head soon!!

Has anyone ever had a horrible dull ache in their left groin area in the few months after stoping their pill? Last night it got pretty strong and radiated out to hip and back. It's worrying me a little.

Where are you in your cycle purple? Sounds like ov pain!

Hi purple I had that pain for several weeks too. I think it's fairly normal and is probably just your ovaries waking up getting used to working again! Mine lasted until a day after I got my first positive opk and then went away until the next cycle. This month I only had it about a week before ovulation so hopefully things will start settling down soon.

This is the thing I have no idea, I'm on the end of month 2 now after stoping pill and still no period. My OPK's are strange, lots of nearly positives but not quite. Do you think it could be my body gearing up to ov? Lots of EWCM too at a few points too. How confusing! Xx

Hmm could be that your ovaries are trying to ov but not quite managing it so they are trying again and again? My first cycle was 2 1/2 months and I had two surges before ov'ing properly and then af arrived 10das later. Fx that it's the same with you and you ov soon lovely! The endless waiting and not knowing is horrible! The Ewcm is a very god sign that your body is getting back to normal 😄 I'm still not producing any really 😒

Chapman - I couldn't eat meat for months when pregnant with #1! It was a very strange symptom!! Xx

Hi Chapman!! Have an amazing holiday! How many weeks are you now? I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and I haven't been sick/or even really felt sick in over a week now which is great. Tiredness settled, more energy, sleeping better. Heartbeat fine so I know all ok, just think hormones have settled. My scan isn't till 13+0!

Purpleviola when I stopped my pill and didn't get a period for three months I got several patches of ewcm, think my ovaries were waking up and trying but couldn't quite ovulate. It did the same on long cycles and I would get almost positive opks, that then faded again but I kept doing then (just the cheap ones) and would eventually get a proper positive. Weirdly I often had less ewcm when I was ovulating that I did at other points in my weird cycles!! And Claire I got loads of pain, think it was just my poor ovaries not knowing what was going on cos they hadn't worked for so long! I got ov pain from about cd10-3 days before af every month!

I have a clearblue digi in the cupboard but tempted to buy a frer too as I think you can test earlier with those xx

Thanks Sunny - I was tempted to poas this morning but going to try & wait till Fri as then I will be 7 days late for AF. Last month AF arrived about 12 days late so I'm not getting my hopes up just yet! Glad you are doing well :)
My ovia app is starting to bug me as it predicted AF this week (based on a normal cycle) so I've had to go in and change it to 'nothing down there' but all the emails and tips I get are now saying I ovulate soon but I clearly don't because I haven't had AF yet! silly thing! x

Hi Ladies!!

I'm Chloe and my partner and I are trying for baby number 1! I've been off the pill since November 2015, only really started trying in the last month or so. SO CONFUSED about all the abbreviations used on here so go easy on me!

My cycle is around 43 days long, I've started using ovulation sticks this week as my period tracking app tells me I'm due to be ovulating this week. They have come back negative each time. Perhaps it's too early, or perhaps I'm not actually ovulating yet?!? I'm very confused and trying not to get despondent and worried, especially as I have long cycles which means everything will take so much longer!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
