Oh and hi Cookie, it does seem busy and everyone seems lovely. It's such a release to hear and share experiences rather than keeping it to yourself and feel like you are going mad. Xx

Cookie22 · 18/05/2016 20:45

Purple it's definitely better to release/vent on here than keep it to yourself! Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with your cycles! Are you ttc number 1? I feel Agnus has really helped me with my cycle length. I gave the b6 a go one month but felt it really worked the opposite way... I've heard mixed reviews about both of them to be honest! Ah why can't our bodies just be kind to us! Xx

Purpleviola14 · 18/05/2016 21:13

Hey, yeah ttc my first, I was on microgynon for 7 years then cerelle for 2, I stopped at the end of March, so I guess I just need to be a bit more patient as I understand most people on here have had it much worse than me. It's just so confusing, I must have had all the symptoms going, I did wonder about going to get checked for low progesterone as I've had relevant symptoms, sore bbs, and (tmi) a bout of really (like really!) thick CM which I think I read was too much oestrogen?
It's interesting what you say about supplements, I think I may just stop and take folic and AC.
What have your experiences been so far? Is this your first too? Xx

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 21:34

I am struggling to keep track too cookie! I like that we are busier now Grin. Hopefully you will get a positive opk this week, it's so frustrating when they are negative all the time! I was so happy to see my flashy smiley but now it's annoying me! Haha.

It really is very frustrating purple. You just have to be very patient. I was just expecting it to happen, but that's obviously not how it works - how naive was I! I haven't started temping yet, I've heard it's quite time consuming - I'm quite happy with my OPK's for now but if I really start to struggle then I'll probably try temping out.

xxx

Cookie22 · 18/05/2016 21:51

Lou is it still flashing? Hopefully your static comes soon Mrs! The wait is frustrating!! Yea this is my 1st too purple, been trying since November so I'm starting to get impatient now! Came off the pill in Aug and finally seem to be settling into a 33/34 day cycles (but worryingly short luteal pause tho!) Xx

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 22:55

Yeah 3rd day flashing today cookie!! Starting to get worried but I've heard it's normal.

This is my first also. Did you come off the pill to try & regulate your cycles first? Very wise! I was not prepared for this in the slightest!

Purpleviola14 · 18/05/2016 23:15

Ooh fx for you Lou you get your static soon.
I know girls, I am soo naive, I never realised the complications of getting your cycle back to normal if the first place, wish I'd stopped taking it last year like you both.
It's so annoying when family members give you the 'when is it your turn then ' or 'ohh you better hurry times ticking' talk and you're like Argh! If only you knew!
Xxx

May07 · 19/05/2016 04:46

It is nice its busy ... hope we make that resident preggos list a bit busier soon Grin

They do say most people get 4 flashing smilies before a static so still looking good Lou. I have never had the magic 4 (always less or more), but hopefully it's on it's way for you.

I knew there was a chance cycles would be a mess but didn't come off the pill earlier due to wedding. I am spotty, hormonal and have put weight on so not the look I wanted for wedding but has made ttc more frustrating!

The wedding seems to have put people off asking us for a while but certain family started quizzing about when we are starting to try etc. Was hoping to have news for them before they all start asking/hinting!

ClaireSunflower · 19/05/2016 06:41

I know the feeling May! I got married in Feb and already people are asking and hinting about when we might start a family. It's quite hard sometimes as a lot of people asking are people I don't particularly want to share that info with!
Loula and purple - totally agree. Really wish I'd come off the pill sooner now and let my cycle regulate. I naively thought everything would go back to normal straight away but was so wrong. We even put off ttc for a month after the honeymoon as we went to the carribean and were worried about the zika virus. If I'd known now I would have come off months ago!

Loulabelle1990 · 19/05/2016 07:38

I know what you mean purple, even at my wedding people were saying "kids next!" I was like alright we've only just got married! I've said to people I want to enjoy married life for a big first to stop them saying anything.

What's the most amount of flashy smilies you've had may? I am in my 4th day today so hopefully I'll get my static by next week! When are you getting married? I got married in April but came off in December, thankfully I didn't have any spots/weight gain, just really painful periods!

I didn't want to come off my pill any earlier as I went to Florida in December and didn't wanna be on for that - if only I knew! At least we all know for next time lol xxx

Johno85 · 19/05/2016 07:40

Hi ladies. Been a bit awol. Trying to get myself a little less stressed his cycle. My Angus castus is on route as I type. Decided to go with cm, the apps and BT this cycle and not bother with the opk's; was a tad obsessed with poas last cycle.

We started talking about ttc for quite a while before I came off the pill in October (mainly due to migraines) and used protection for 2 months, again naive to think it would happen straight away. I even panicked on my birthday in December when we didn't use protection and was convinced that that was it, job done! Grin

I had 20 days of flashing smileys last month on CB digital dual hormone opk, hence why I gave up. I agree that the average seems to be about 4. I never got my solid smiley.

Crossing everything that my cycle will start to sort itself out soon.

Sending everyone good vibes Smile

May07 · 19/05/2016 08:17

Lou I have used 3 times, first month I had 14, second 12 and third just 1. I did start late on the third try as was expecting another long cycle.

I already got married at start of the year and went on honeymoon to a malaria zone so only came off after that.

Feeling tired and grumpy today. Period turned out to more like spotting yesterday (which is very unusual for me) so I convinced myself it could be implementation bleed. Woke up early and its definitely a period! Angry Funny how I knew I was out but still cling on to last bit of hope!

HighHopes16 · 19/05/2016 09:40

Hi Ladies,

I've not been on here for a month or two as lots going on in my personal life at the moment. So much so we thought about putting off ttc till next year but after a lot of deliberation we've decided this is what we want more than anything!

We got married last summer & all of our relatives kept saying to each other 'See you at the Christening next then!!' We were like hang on a minute!! haha

Ovia says I should take a pg test today as I'm due on but going to leave it a week and if I've not come on i'll poas.

Hope everyone is well!

Loulabelle1990 · 19/05/2016 11:17

Oh I see, did you eventually reach your peak though may? After all the flashies?

That's understandable why you came off after that, you weren't to know the struggles we are facing !!

Sorry AF got you. Onward and upwards to the next cycle!

Hope everything is okay highhopes and nothing too serious! Your very good to wait another week, hopefully you will get your BFP soon xxx

HighHopes16 · 19/05/2016 13:50

Thanks Lou - no it's nothing too serious, just a bit of uncertainty but I'm sure it will work itself out! :)

I've got used to waiting before poas - On my first cycle I spent a fortune on pg tests but now I know better.

I was watching a programme the other day about a couple who had fertility problems and in the end they chose to adopt and it got my thinking about what we would do if we couldn't conceive. We've only been ttc for 5 months but sometimes it seems so out of reach. Does anyone get like this some times or am I just really hormonal?? Grin

Purpleviola14 · 19/05/2016 22:44

Hi girls hope you are all ok,

Lol Loula and high that was me at my wedding! I was like a broken record trying to put people off the scent by shrugging it off going 'are you serious?! Give us time to enjoy being married first!'
How old are you ladies? I'll be 30 next year eep! I got married in 2014. Really wish I'd come off then.

High I def don't think it's just the hormones and it really does get you thinking doesn't it?!

I think I'm deffo going to try these CB digi tests. The flashing smileys seem way easier than squinting at a stick checking for lines
Xx

Loulabelle1990 · 19/05/2016 23:04

Everything's always works out in the end high :). I have t thought about adoption just yet, I think I'd go down the IVF route first. 5 months seems like a long time but it really isn't - jus seems like a lifetime to us I guess! But we always think of worse case scenarios don't we!

Purple I am 25 :). The digi ones are really good, but just so disheartening when you keep getting flashy smileys! You just never think your going to get your peak. That's what I am thinking at the moment anyway! If you are getting it then you need the purple dual hormone one, they are a lot cheaper on Amazon than in boots xxx

BoBo90 · 19/05/2016 23:19

I had a lovely holiday apart from a fall out with the grandparents 😒 But thanks for asking girls 😊

Cookie - that sounds promising with the clear cm! Good idea to dtd early! Fx for you my love 😘

Purple - my first cycle post pill was 76 days but they then regulated with the help of Agnus castus. This cycle has gone a bit haywire but I stopped the AC early so that might be why! Really hope yours sort themselves out soon!

High - fx for a nice bfp for you and a promotion to our Resident Preggos list 😄

I am also a member of the 'didn't come off the pill early because I thought I'd ovulate straight away' club 😫 I stopped in Nov and only had 4 cycles so far - I'm getting very fed up now!

I booked my appointment at Drs but they couldn't get me in until 7th June! Bloody ridiculous.

Annnnd finally (I ramble a lot 😉) I'm no closer to ov and just getting crap loads of white cm... It's kinda lumpy... Like porridge 🤔 Hope no ones reading this while having breakfast haha

Sweet dreams lovelies 😴 xxx

No sign of AF by app af is due tomorrow gona test sat :)

HighHopes16 · 20/05/2016 10:06

Thanks Everyone, I said to DH last night if we haven't managed to conceive within a year we should go to the docs as the statistic is something like 'On average, 85% of couples conceive within the first year'

I'm 25 too so not in a huge rush, it just seems like the natural progression for us.

BoBo90 · 20/05/2016 10:30

Oooh good luck Shan/Help Smile fx for you!!

High - I'm 25 too, married last year and just can't wait to start a family Smile I thought the same about waiting a year before going to the Dr but 6 months in and I've started convincing myself there's something wrong!

I'm feeling really shitty lately. Combination of family fall outs, no baby and no hope of one any time soon and to top it off I've been organising a charity bridal ball and everyone who reserved tickets have suddenly decided they cant come so I have just over a month to sell 100 tickets or I'm screwed. I'm hoping that impending af is making me feel more down about it than normal and in a week everything will be fine again.

Sorry for the rant! Dh is at work and the cats are out so I cant talk to them either haha!

As you were ladies Wink

Loulabelle1990 · 21/05/2016 08:41

Hi everyone, how are we all?

Help, did you do your preg test??

Try to think positive bobo! Our time will come. We just gotta be patient! Have you had any luck selling this tickets?

So I had flashy smileys from Monday to Friday, DTD Tuesday, Thursday and got my peak today so DTD today too and again tomorrow and Monday. Do you think this is enough?

When do I count how many DPO I am? What day does it go from? I was so excited when I see the static face! xxx

ClaireSunflower · 21/05/2016 09:10

Hi Loula glad you finally got your static smiley!
I am currently 4dpo and crossing my fingers, toes and everything else that my luteal phase is longer than my 7 day one last month. I'm not massively hopeful as I didn't ovulate until cd23 (same as last month) I was taking agnus castus until ovulation and vitamin b complex throughout the month so hopefully that will help!
I'm only on my second month ttc but it feels like forever already! Everywhere I go everyone seems to be pregnant or have a new baby and it's hard to not feel jealous!

SusieBu16 · 21/05/2016 16:13

Hi ladies

I have a lot of catching up to do!! I have been away with work. How is everyone getting on?!

I was just getting my hopes up on my last post Hmm AF is due in 3 days (according to my app) and I feel like the bugger is definitely going to arrive. Absolutely exhausted these last few days and bloated. Sure sign! Sad
Been off pill since November now....there's always next month lol x

Cookie22 · 22/05/2016 10:05

Hi girls, how we all doing? Shan, have you tested yet? Bobo, sorry to hear you're having a crappy time hun. I feel your pain- 6 cycles in & 9 months off the pill and I just can't see the prospect of a baby on the horizon. I don't even feel excited about it working this cycles, like I've just resigned myself to the fact that something must not be right! Hope everything works out with your family lovely, sounds like you're having a tough time xx

So glad you got your static Loula! I usually count the day after my peak as the day I ovulated, so 1dpo would be the following day. Sounds like you have done more than enough to catch that egg!

Fx for the girls on the tww- Claire, Highhopes & Susie!

How are our resident preggos doing? I miss you guys!!

Sorry I've been a bit off the radar recently. I've been trying to distance myself slightly as I feel TTC has been taking over my life the past few months. Trying to consciously relax a bit and 'see what happens'. Lines are now appearing on my OPKs so hopefully Ov is on its way! Xx
