Can an implantation bleed took like AF?

Massively flummoxed by this.

I have regular 27-9 day cycles.

Today is cd23. This morning I had very light brown spotting. As we've been ttc no. 2 for a while now, I actually got quite excited, thinking its implantation (we are 9dpo I'm pretty sure). Had other weird symptoms in the past 2-3 days, like headaches, when I never get headaches.

But I've just wiped and got bright red. So I think AF is on its way or, even, here. I just wanted to know whether this is an insanely early AF (and I know time will tell on that one) or whether anyone has had this experience and gone on for a BFP.

I feel bad now. I went for a run this morning (as I always do) and have got it into my head that I've ruined implantation.

I know it's a big ask - but if you've got any experience with this I'd really appreciate hearing it. Got myself tied up in knots.

I had some brown and red bleeding before I got my BFP earlier this month, it went on for around 4 days in the end, it wasn't a flow or heavy, but bright red blood on wiping. I got a BFP around 5 days later. For me it sadly ended in a chemical pregnancy a week after my original BFP. If I were you, think I would just monitor and perhaps test in a few days if you still don't think it is AF arriving early. Do try not to get stressed though OP, easier said than done I know! Keep us posted.

Hie bestie sorry I can't be much help but am going through the same. Hope you don't mind if we share experience until we either get the much wanted bfp or full af.

My cycles are usually 26 -28 days and the past few days have been feeling nausea and vomited twice. My head aches too ((typical symptoms)) but today cd24 have started brown spotting and cramps.

Implantation or af only time will tell. Good luck to you!!!

I could've written that myself! I tend to have 28-30 day cycles. Today is CD 24 and I'm spotting a little pink this morning but mostly brown, had a small amount of brown yesterday too. Been ttc #2 for 6 months now. Not sure what to make of this.

Im really sorry about your chemical iwillbemrsminty.. That's really tough. Hope you're doing ok.

I'm in with you Mimi! Will keep you updated - you do the same. This has never happened to me before, so it seems really weird. I know I ov'd earlier this month (first month of taking evening primrose - probably won't repeat the experience), so it could just be that this is really mucking up my cycle. Seems pretty crazy that 5 days worth of EPO should do that but there you are.

This is only the 3rd proper month of ttc. First time, happened straight off. I knew at the time I was lucky, but only realising now how flipping lucky. Im heading to 38 now (conceived our first when I was 33) so I'm freaking out about being too old as it is.

My brown and red bleeding is now 2.5 and an opinionated little madam.

I totally thought I'd had a period (as it showed up 3 days AFTER my periods was due and lasted for 4 days) but about 2 weeks later I was really emotional at work (which isn't me) so tested. Sure enough I was about 4/5 weeks along.

Bestie I think ttc just messes the normal routine of our cycles and bodies. I have been ttc for 10 months and it gets more and more depressing. Is the spotting much?

cartoon fx it's implantation and it's the start of smthng good.

fitfatty oh how sweet. Fx we get to tell that tale too.

Thanks Mimi for the replies. It feels more than spotting, to be honest, although I've stuck a pad in and it's not really falling on that. I feel that's not far away from happening. Seriously annoyed/upset. I knew this wasn't my month (I felt implantation with DS so I'm acutely sensitive to the lack of symptoms/anything happening) but I really got my hopes up this morning. Really got my hopes up. And this, combined with the whole hormonal rubbish, is making me feel really glum.

But your spotting sounds promising? As does Cartoons!

I don't think mine is. Blarrgh!

Too much cramping going on here. Feels like failing implantation 😂. Best of luck for this or the next cycle. Aaargh ttc is nerve-wracking

Can I join. I'm trying for #2 and af is due today.

Have been having cramps for a week or so, my nips are sore and I'm tired but I got a negative test yesterday so I'm afraid to retest for another few days

My spotting is strange it's on & off. Is spotting ment to be only when you wipe? I've had a bit of blood on my pants too but not much. The next time I when to the loo there was no more not even really on the tissue.

I've had a similar situation before and I was pregnant but that ended in a mc Confused

I actually had a fairly full tampon and some blood on a pad. It was a lot heavier than I expected

Mind if i join?
Ttc for nearly 4 years, been down the route of seeing specialists etc. but not getting anywhere so far.
Af was due on 15th, had bleeding and mild cramps on 16th and light brown spotting on 17th and morning of 18th, then nothing which is very unusual for me. Tested on 19th and got BFN but am driving myself crazy symptom spotting.
Mild headaches, nausea but no vomiting. etc.
Do you think i should test again? If so how long do you think i should wait?
Am new on here so hope you dont mind me jumping on here. Smile

Can I join? Been ttc no2 for 2.5 years. I'm 6dpo (cd20) and have had very pale pink spotting for the last couple of days. Never had this before. I thought inplantation bleeding only lasted a day or so but there seem to be lots of posts on mumsnet and similar sites from other ladies saying it lasted longer for them. I'm majorly stressing out over it and I know only time will tell but I want an answer now!

AmyBE - 4 days late would be pretty late for negative tests to be incorrect but you never know! I'd probably keep testing until either a positive or AF but I'm impatient :)
