Digital pregnancy tests - negative around AF due time - but positive result days later??

Has anyone ever done a digital test day before or day of their AF was due and it said 'Not Pregnant' but then got a positive result later on? Can that happen??

Should I give up hope for this month?

I'm 14 dpo.

I used a Boots brand digital test, it says 'Not Pregnant'.

AF is due tomorrow....

Yes I did, the digitals are much less sensitive.

Confused as to how you did the digital day before/day of and got a neg then did another test days after and it was pos if you are due in tomorrow though - are you just hoping for a positive later?

I wouldn't give up yet if so, I didn't get a positive on digi until after af due date. Have you tried a FRER?

How many days after AF did you get your positive?

I tried a FRER yesterday but shows faint indent line which is really common.

Yes, I got negative results on digital tests- one was the day after AF was due.

Got a BFP 2 days later on a cheapie from the local pharmacy.

I didn't get a BFP until AF was late - I tested day after it was due & got my BFP. I'd previously tested the day before AF was due & got BFN. So you're not out yet - if you can, wait until the day after AF is due.

It is torture waiting for AF to arrive.

I wonder what the statistics are on number of women that didn't get a positive till after AF due (but got a negative before AF due).

I guess this would only happen to a small percentage of people?

FRER's and digitals are 90% accurate?

Any tips on what to do while waiting for AF?

That looks a bit pinky to be an indent. I wouldn't rule yourself out just yet. This was my first positive and I'm 4 months now.

Digital tests I have found are rubbish. I think because it has to give you a yes or no answer so it will end up being a "no" even if there's a slight possibility of a yes.

I got two bfn with digital test then tried First Reaponse and could see a faint line, the following day used Clear Blue original (not digital) and with a darker line for BFP!

Hi Obliviated, how many days dpo was that test for or days before AF?

I got a negative test on the day AF was due and 2 days later when it still hadn't arrived I got another negative, then 4 days after AF I got a BFP. I'm now 6+4, so it can take a bit of time... Good Luck!

11 or 12 dpo I think, you cant really see it on the photo but it was definitely there. These were days 13/14dpo. I did one every day for over a week to see if they were getting darker.

Hi guys ! I’m due on today but nothing as of yet I took a test last night and this morning both had faint lines Iv just done a digital and it came back not pregnant how ever I only used a little wee I should of waited I know ! Any ideas ? X
