can this have delayed my ov

Hi, my period is never ever late. but it is now nearly 5 days late. Have done a couple of tests but all neg. On about day 9 I had an internal examiniation (was seeing about being referred cos of lack of success in the conceiving department) could that have delayed ovulation. Obviously I would love to be pregnant but don't want to get my hopes up and the tests are negative.

ok, know very little about this but don't most pg tests only work after 4 days from missed period? could it be too early for test to be 100% right??

It is possible for stress to stop you from ovulating (and therefore delaying your period), as I found out last summer when I had this. I was going through the process of changing my job, and noticed I hadn't ovulated (I always get really clear signs).
My period was about 2 or 3 weeks late in the end, I went through quite a lot of pg tests!

Obviously there is a chance you could be pregnant though... I wish you the best of luck!
