Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

What a bugger stumbly I hate cervical rummaging too... But have had to get over it a bit due to the copious amounts of scanners and speculums that have been shoved up my fanjo during IUIs and IVF....

Fank you alice

AnotherRubberDuck · 07/04/2016 22:49

Sorry about the polyp Stumbly Does having polyps make it harder to concieve?
I'm in the 2ww and am so tempted to test even though it's rediculously early, I think I'm only about 9dpo! Someone send a hooyah my way. The 2ww drives me crazy!

ScottishLady7 · 08/04/2016 00:59

Sorry about the polyp, stumbly!

I'm in the tww currently but no idea where as I allegedly according to Ovia iced 3 days ago and AF is due in 4 days... But I'm not to test for 8 days!?

Gah! I am peeing on ICs which are all negative obviously since I only iced 3 days ago and am feeling strong about resisting the urge to POAFiver as I know it will be a waste of money!! I'll hold out til AF is due and, if she stays away, I will PO-All-the-Fivers in celebration!

stumblymonkey · 08/04/2016 05:11

Can you believe that I didn't even think about whether it impacted my fertility? What kind of viroid am I?

I've gone from needing all of the hooyahs to not even thinking about it in one month....

Anyway Dr. Google says it can impact fertility if it's big enough to block the cervical opening but if it's smaller the sperm should swim around it. No idea of the size of mine but it might explain why I've only had one day of EWCM so far as it can mess around with that.

OP posts:
stumblymonkey · 08/04/2016 05:16

Also Alice!

Where did you go? I've missed my TTC buddy!

Yes...in 2WW but I've been put under consultation of redundancy this month and DP is losing his job/business too so we've DTD once as we're a bit stressed and not sleeping well so not exactly expecting anything!

OP posts:
Kwick709 · 08/04/2016 07:04

I had another wierd dream night viroids... At least I slept well but the dreams were a tad disturbing (having to get back with an abusive boyfriend) anyway its a relief to wake up and know it was a dream!

Only 3 more days and then scan!!!!

Canters15 · 08/04/2016 08:27

Alice I got way more ewcm then ever the month I conceived so this is a good sign! I reckon it took that long for fanny to get back to normal after the pill.

kwick look forward to more weird dreams to come! Last night I dreamt my DH confessed that he had slept with sia (as in the singer). I was cross with him (in my dream he was not allowed a past prior to me!) But also a tad envious as I bloody love her music. I am crazy.

GundogFrankie · 08/04/2016 12:40

Kwick yey for scan!

Canters how long did it take you to go back to normal post pill?

Canters15 · 08/04/2016 14:09

gundog I came off pill in august and conceived in Feb. My periods came back straight away but I had several weird anovulatory cycles. I wasn't really getting much ewcm until that last month so obviously something changed....

AliceScarlett · 08/04/2016 14:17

Canters "I reckon it took that long for fanny to get back to normal after the pill." Sames.

DH has a cold but managed to DTD last night. He went to the GP and they did a blood test, turns out he has low testosterone levels, I'm pleased there is an answer and it's not that he just doesn't find me attractive Blush

Stumbly!! I had to take a month off as my job was going nowhere, job still might not be going anywhere but I don't care, I just want a baby! NHS maternity leave ain't to be sniffed at neither.

Hope the polyp clears up soon. Sorry to hear about the job stuff, damn money getting in the way of our well laid plans Angry

NameChange30 · 08/04/2016 14:22

Interesting re pill and EWCM. I came off the pill in September and haven't noticed much (if any)... I'm not exactly used to looking out for it, but I'm sure I would have noticed!

Alice I'm sure that would never be the reason (not finding you attractive)! But I understand that have a partner with a low sex drive must be hard for your self esteem Sad Anyway at least you know why now. What does he need to do to up his testosterone levels? Does he need to take meds and/or is there anything else he can do?

AliceScarlett · 08/04/2016 22:31

Name I doubt I'd have noticed if I hadn't had a rummage Grin

DH needs to go back to the GP to discuss options, might be about taking testosterone in pill or patch form or something idk. He isn't keen on taking drugs, but low testosterone can effect the swimmers, so, I really hope he can be ok with it, if that's what the Dr suggests.

NameChange30 · 08/04/2016 23:18

Alice
Good point. I haven't actually been doing any rummaging. That would help wouldn't it Grin
Hope your DH will be open minded about treatment. Most women take hormones (hormonal contraception) for years and years of their lives, so a short-term testosterone treatment for TTC is hardly much to ask of him is it?!

AliceScarlett · 08/04/2016 23:23

Exactly! My point completely. I think he will he is just struggling with "I have to take pills to be a proper man" bless him.
I think it's great that it's a problem you can take a pill for!

Rummage away Wink its a primary fertility sign and all that jazz.

NameChange30 · 08/04/2016 23:41

"I think it's great that it's a problem you can take a pill for!"
Exactly! I can understand the dent to his pride, so fair enough if he feels a bit gutted about it, but he does need to move past that. Not to minimise his feelings, just put his situation in perspective. I know it's not a competition but there are people who can't conceive naturally at all - if he could imagine how much worse that would feel he might be relieved that he only has to take pills.

justtheonethen · 09/04/2016 07:07

I agree alice, it's only a hormone imbalance so easy to sort I imagine. Tell him to buck up gently

I don't need to rummage for ewcm

Spa day today with the sister, can't wait Smile

Kwick709 · 09/04/2016 10:25

just enjoy your spa day - you deserve it!

stumblymonkey · 09/04/2016 10:34

Enjoy the spa day!

Viroids...this month I couldn't tell you what cycle day I'm on or when AF is due and it's kind of nice. Am sure I'll be back to needing hooyahs soon though, I can't help myself Grin

CountryGal4 · 09/04/2016 13:42

Ooo spa- tre jealous

angelazul · 10/04/2016 10:39

Hey vidroids, sorry I fell off the fred, been feeling bit under the weather & stressed, and been a bad vidroid with very little shagging Blush I think I iced yesterday, so 1dpo now but not holding out much hope this month.

Just hope you enjoyed the spa day, sounds bliss.

Alice now that you know what the issue is, gx things will start moving in the right direction.

Kwick yay for the scan, soo exciting!!!

ChatEnOeuf · 10/04/2016 12:51

Hope you're feeling a little better now Angel - it only takes one!

Just spa day sounds lush, how was it?

GX there's an easy treatment for your DH, Alice.

justtheonethen · 10/04/2016 13:10

Spa was heaven thanks, although today I woke up with a swollen eye, unrelated I'm sure. Bloody painful though and I look like I have been punched Confused

Hope you're feeling better angel, only takes one!

justtheonethen · 10/04/2016 13:11

How you feeling chat? Saw you had a scary day on grads.

ChatEnOeuf · 10/04/2016 13:58

Ouch! Hopefully nothing to do with the spa. Glad you enjoyed it.

I'm petrified to be honest. Can't do anything except rest and keep taking the frolic so that's what I'm doing. I was utterly convinced it was all over last week, so I'm just pleased I still have hope right now.

justtheonethen · 10/04/2016 14:11

Sending huge hugs and keeping everything crossed for you. Thanks
