Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

namechange I feel you need to redirect your curiosity urges in a different direction. Have you tried finding something addictive to watch on TV? I am currently hooked on watching beauty product reviews on YouTube (try Tati or Simply Sona)... Which has just led me to spending nearly £30 on make-up that I do not need.. And I am no where near a 2ww!!!! Confused

angelazul · 21/06/2016 19:03

Name don't do it!!! Do whatever it takes to distract yourself - maybe a full house spring clean??

NameChange30 · 21/06/2016 19:37

angel Hahahahahahaha Grin Thanks for the suggestion but I am extremely lazy and we have a cleaner (who we had when I was still working FT and couldn't bring ourselves to sack!) so I'm not going to do a big clean... However I do need to tidy the house because we have some guests coming soon. And I think generally keeping busy is a good idea! To answer your question kwick yes I have GoT to catch up with and the new series of OITNB to get stuck into! When I'm doing anything that requires concentration (work, watching a gripping TV show) it's fine - it's just hard to get it out of my mind when I'm trying to get to sleep, or driving, or doing chores...

angelazul · 21/06/2016 22:14

Name GoT was epic, I'm watching it for the 2nd time tonight. It should def take your mind off tww lol

NameChange30 · 21/06/2016 22:17

angel Indeed! What an episode! Shock

angelazul · 21/06/2016 22:47

I got goose bumps even watching it the 2nd time lol. My hubby was an extra in that episode, he was part of the Bolton

angelazul · 21/06/2016 22:48

*army Blush

NameChange30 · 21/06/2016 22:51

angel That's so cool, no wonder you watched it twice! If that was my DH I might have invented some excuse to go see Kit Harington him on set!

angelazul · 21/06/2016 23:00

I didn't actually know he was filming with him, he managed to keep Jon Snow's resurrection a secret from me for about 6 months Shock

angelazul · 21/06/2016 23:01

Although they had a wrap party which I didn't go to cos I had other plans & Kit was there Sad

NameChange30 · 21/06/2016 23:03

OMG. Probably just as well you didn't go to the party or I would be TOO JEALOUS. However if I had gone I probably would have been stupidly star struck and made a massive tit of myself! Swoons...

kwick · 22/06/2016 07:27

I am sorry... I clearly live under a rock... What is GoT?

angelazul · 22/06/2016 07:56

Kwick it's Game of Thrones, quite possibly best show on the box.

Name I didn't find out he was there until after the episode where he was brought back, could've kicked myself Angry Although hubby said that he was an absolute twat although that could've been just to make me feel better about it

corgi88 · 22/06/2016 10:32

Af finally rocked up yesterday - longest cycle yet and not even the first post-mc! Ridiculous. Oh well, have had my consolatory gin and am looking forward to cracking on next cycle. And after 5 months with personal trainer I can now finally do 10 press ups - plan on throwing self into exercise instead of fretting throughout TWOT next time :D yoga does sound good though, will have to give it a try. Hope everyone else is ok. Chat af is indeed a silly old fool! How mental. Has it stopped now?

corgi88 · 22/06/2016 10:35

Missed all the GoT chat! Oooh Kit! Omg that episode! I might have to watch it again as was too stressed to enjoy it the first time.... name step away from the pissy sticks....

NameChange30 · 22/06/2016 11:34

Thanks corgi, I'm holding out so far!
No work today, but I'm keeping busy with chores and MN.

NameChange30 · 22/06/2016 11:34

Oh and I meant to say sorry AF has turned up.

LondonGirl83 · 22/06/2016 15:48

Sorry AF got you Corgi

Good willpower Name

stumblymonkey · 22/06/2016 18:26

Hello Viroids...

I'm back Smile

Have not caught up on any posts yet but just wanted to say hello and profess my apologies for disappearing from the Fred to move house and be made redundant and set up a consultancy business and start with my first client and get engaged.

Y'know, just the usual. Grin

OP posts:
kwick · 22/06/2016 18:53

Fanks angel I did work it out and then slapped myself for being so slow! I have not seen a single episode... Crappy TV like The Bachelorette is more my bag Blush

corgi I think the WTF cycles can last a while... Exercise plan is a good one. If you like being active pick a more "energetic" form of yoga - like Vinyasa Flow, just avoid Hot as this can interfere with TTC.

stumbly so nice to have you back Grinyou have been BUSY!!!

stumblymonkey · 22/06/2016 19:02

Yes...pretty busy. And now wedding planning on top of TTC and the new job!

As a result I am resolutely not tracking, temping or symptom spotting for the next couple of months she foolishly says as I don't have the headspace for it at the moment. I shall be a true JS'er for at least a day or two.

Viroids...I feel that my Fred is jinxed. We should fill it up with idle chatter and start afresh.

Sorry to those that have had a tough time over the past few weeks. Please have all the Cakeand WineI have...and Flowerstoo...

angelazul · 22/06/2016 20:09

Oh Stumbly it all sounds so exciting, congratulations!!!

Corgi sorry the witch is messing you about.

Name good job on staying away form the pissy sticks, keep it up!!

NameChange30 · 22/06/2016 20:26

stumbly
Congratulations on your engagement! How exciting! 😊💍🍾
Who proposed to who, or was it a mutual decision?
And congrats on your new business and new client, brilliant outcome after being made redundant.

Thanks angel... My plan is to hold out tomorrow (which should be reasonably easy as I have work all day and guests arriving in the evening!) and POAS on Friday morning if AF still hasn't turned up by then. Should probably wait until Saturday morning really but Friday is as long as I can hold out! I was feeling queasy this afternoon and couldn't help wondering if it was pregnancy nausea... probably wishful thinking and mostly likely due to all the pizza and chocolate I ate for lunch!! Grin

kwick · 23/06/2016 07:58

Yep could be a bit early for nausea name gx for your bfp

ChatEnOeuf · 23/06/2016 10:38

Ha! Name the only time I ever tested early was because of nausea. It was twins Shock

Boo to the witch Corgi. She did indeed fuck off - loitered for a couple of days and then it was like nothing had happened. I consequently have no idea where I'm up to, so it's JSing for us once this set of nights are over!

Congrats on all the newses, Stumbly :)
