I am curious to find out what are the rules for NHS funded IVF in my area. is there a way of finding out in advance of seeing your GP/consultant. There is lots of information about waiting times and success rates etc on the net but i can't find the answer to the question I am looking for. Do I need to write/email some one in my local PCT?

Hi there,

If your PCT's website doesn't say anything, get in touch with the PCT's PALS - Patient Advice and Liaison Service. They may be able to help.

Hope this helps.

I rang mine up and asked at the switchboard to speak to the person who deals with IVF coverage.
