So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Hi all,

I've been MIA because we just had an inspection and life has been HELL. Upwards and onwards! Temps holding steady. I got home early enough (worked from home all evening, whoop) and did an OPK. VERY negative, as in nothing, so I guess that means I don't have PCOS causing the few irregular cycles that I've had. It must just be stress.

I'm feeling quite apprehensive at the moment about all of this, now that TTC is real. It's quite scary. But I'm not getting any younger (I'd forgotten last week that I already turned 32) and now is the prefect time for some pretty big upheavals and changes.

So chuffed for you radders. Jod and sucha, really think there could be something up!

Tee my husband has said he doesn't think I should temp or OPK, but normally we only DTD about once a week because of our crazy lives, so I don't reckon that would give us good chances, but he thinks it's all a con. Men are such idiots, especially when they know nothing about cycles!!

Men just don't understand! I think they think it just happens. I reminder when I told my Oh about it all he just couldn't believe it and didn't realise at all. It really helped us though him knowing because he realised how critical it was we did it at the right time

Radders, I just watched five star babies on sky plus, wasn't like that when I gave birth!

Good luck tomorrow new hair I had a proper positive on an internet cheapy OPK so I think it can help time dtd, especially if struggling to find the time for every other day.

I'm very bloated today CD 17 and I look pregnant already, I'm only short so it's really obvious when I get bloated. Last night of dtd then a rest I think.

radders don't blame you wanting to see it written. You'll probably get loads of symptoms next week and wish it had stayed like this

I know I was thinking that ... I've read that symptoms normally kick in at about 6 weeks.

I'm still not convinced I'm pregnant. Won't believe it until I see the digital now I don't think.

I concentrated so much on getting pregnant that i kind of didn't think about what it's like when you do .... And a different type of worry starts. I know it's a really happy time but I honestly don't feel like I can be happy and excited yet because it's so early. Just concentrating on not getting stressed!

Don't mean to sound moany or anything because I know you are all waiting for BFPs ... Just my stance on things and that moment ..!

Can't believe that 5 star babys programme. Some people have so much money!!!

It's positive! Feeling happy but also a tiny bit shocked as even after the positive FRER I wasn't convinced. DH is delighted too.

AF due today. The jury is out on whether it's coming or not. I'm a bit crampy? Had slightly brown tinged cm this morning does this mean anything?

Hopes officially up this month, expect a pity party over here if AF does show up!

Sorry I've been off the radar a few days, work has been hectic!

Don't want to get my hopes up but really feel like this could be my month, feeling very positive and relaxed

When is best to start OPK's cycle-wise? Going by my m.calendar I should be fertile 30th-5th but I don't want to miss it! Also I drink loads of water as one of the side effects of my medication is a dry mouth and excessive thirst so I'm worried this will give unpredictable results?!?

Newhair awesome to see it in black & white! Radders when will you use a digital??
2ww is going fast for me after being so sick last week, so every cloud!! I don't think I will POAS early though, I hate seeing a BFN, I'd rather see AF, although they both amount to the same thing. I've only got a clear blue test and digital in, so will save them both for when everything else is looking positive! Bit of cramping overnight which I'm hoping is implantation, but trying not to symptom spot too much as I got it horribly wrong last month!! Will probably test next Wednesday if no AF.
Newhair did you DTD much this month?? And how are you feeling, any signs leading up to your BFP?! xx

Racja, I usually start opks quite early on, around CD8 as I generally ovulate around CD13, so get my positives by CD12. I would start today if I were you, better to be too early than too late. Are you definitely CD12 if your fertile week isn't until 30th-5th? Do you have very long cycles??

sucha on my second I had brown blood on the morning AF was due i was PG though so must have been implantation. Is it gone now?

I did an IC this morning. I Think I can see a faint line but only when I hold it up to the light?! Could be Evap. Also did an ovulation test. I have been doing them daily and they seem to be getting stronger? confused?!
These are today's Ovulation tests....

Jod ovulation tests can pick up hcg hormone, but you'd usually expect them to be less sensitive than a hpt. I have to say I also get strong lines on opks right before AF (as I've tried using them instead of hpts in the past), so it's hard to say what they are picking up at that point in your cycle. I have a friend who had a positive opk when she was pg with her DS though, so all is not lost?! Plus you're still seeing a faint line on IC! The plot thickens! x

Racja- start opk testing! Last month I ov at cd23/ this month was cd15/16. Luckily I tested early to catch it.

Jod- u must be pulling your hair out! I feel your frustration too. What is going on? It's good though that you are having symptoms so maybe the hcg hormone is weaker in your body that it doesn't show up?

Sucha- So sorry. Sending you lots of hugs and all I can say is keep positive and plan your diet, supplements and all sex for next month to keep your tears away. Really hard I know as I've been ever so teary. Think I'll be joining u shortly, as with my mix up bleed i haven't got the foggiest what is going on and when I'm due AF or ov next.

Physicskate- my DH thinks the same, he thinks I'm obsessing over it. Finds it hard to believe that only a few days per month it's poss to get pregnant when lots of people have accidents. He refuses to listen.. And refuses to be a machine! So think next month I'm going to have a hard time. Might have to deny it for a bit so he will be gagging for it by ov time!

Tee we only did it once during my fertile phase. I was away with work almost back to back so we took the opportunity the night I flew in from my first trip. I had EWCM the next day, so it must have been then. Lucky I guess (DH is very pleased with himself). Symptoms wise just bloated really. I feel "different" somehow too, but that might all be in my head. Oh and I was very emotional last week, but put this down to tiredness after being away.

Jod I am no expert when it comes to icy levels etc. Have you tried a digital test yet?

I did a digital but about two weeks ago and it said Not Pregnant. I'm in Ireland so no super drug here. Tempted to buy a FRER BUT also afraid as I can still see the lines on the last ones I did and I don't trust them now.
I really am pulling my hair out.

Footprints going to do an OPK when I get home, I'll post the results later, wish I'd brought some to work with me now! We dtd this morning which I wasn't too keen on at 7.30am but I'm glad we did now!!

Physicskate DH thinks I've gone mad and is threatening to withhold dtd cos he thinks I'll only do it when I'm fertile! They have no clue
