So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Forgot to say that on the other lady's post there were barely any lines on the cheaper brands!

raddersmrs · 19/04/2016 07:38

I've done a FRER and the like is definitely there. I'm just worried it's not getting darker as the days go on but I've googled it and apparently that's ok.. A line is a line

Nimisha · 19/04/2016 07:40

I'm pretty sure I've had a positive OPK This morning. What do you think? CD 16 is at the top.

Seems as though the first response ones are the better tests.
Yes a line is a line- faint or not.

So today a brand new day. I went to bed early last night like gruff the grump. Wanted time alone. Just cheesed off that I did all the opks and were positive, did the timing right with dtd ( lots of effort too), then for this to happen. The confusion continues as my temp is high 3rd day in row after the darkest opk so from my temp chart it looks like I still ovulated. Still have watery stretchy cm mixed with blood. The pains were def ovulation and not AF. It doesn't look like a usual period- no clots or anything and it's brighter red rather than darker red. How ovulation ever happens with the blood coming down I don't know?!

I'm 38 so worried it's perimenopause. Still not giving up as I know it's still possible. Also had that crazy long cycle last month that may have effected hormones and cycle.

Next step is still try an opk 8-16 days from here and see if I ovulate again or get my AF? Your guess is as good as mine!?

Hope today is a good day for you ladies xx

footprints really hope it's just a random cycle and you'll be back to normal next month. 38 seems far too young for perimenopause to me. Have you got a GP appointment booked in?

radders line is a line Smile I can imagine it must be a really nerve wracking time. Have you made a medical appointment at all? I'm not sure what you're meant to do.

I have no breast pain for the first time in what feel like forever, this close to my period. It's actually weird. Every single month they hurt like a bitch. This month - nada.

I am half wondering if I should wait until Saturday to test. If it's positive I'm not sure I'll be able to go to work and act normally!

SuchaJem · 19/04/2016 08:13

ni looks close, think it could peak later today or tomorrow. Lots of DTD for you!

Nimisha · 19/04/2016 08:22

footprints I'm glad you are feeling more positive. It's such a rollercoaster of emotions isn't it, one minute high as a kite and the next crying quietly into a decaf tea.

Fingers crossed parney I think I will probably cave and buy some FRERs though I'm swinging between testing early and not testing until 15 days Po.

At least DH has got into the swing of things with all the dtd. He was supposed to be going out tonight and I'm very glad he's not though I do feel a bit guilty because he could go if I could get out of work early.

Jod1985 · 19/04/2016 08:44

CD 35 Star maybe

Glad all is well with you ladies. Still no bleeding, feel hot and nauseous today, especially when I brushed my teeth which I had in last two PG's?!

MrsMumma · 19/04/2016 08:52

I'm 30
On cycle day 25
Cycle 1
TTC second baby, first baby boy is 22 months

Nimisha · 19/04/2016 09:41

Hi Mrs

Jod are you doing any tests, with my first I came off the pill and had long cycles so I ended up testing twice per week (with an internet cheapy) until it finally came up positive. I had to limit myself though and not test every day. Felt like it took ages.

Jod1985 · 19/04/2016 09:45

Yes I was doing tests and even had a few faint positives but they didn't get any stronger Sad I am now Doing Ovulation tests and IC's.

MrsMumma · 19/04/2016 10:25

I have been buying two packs from the £1 shop but not sure how reliable the cheaply ones are? Some people say they are too sensitive so technically can give false positives. saying haven't even had anywhere near a faint positive with them but they may be due to not actually being pregnant, lol!

MrsMumma · 19/04/2016 10:25

*sayjng that (sorry typos)

Jod1985 · 19/04/2016 13:10

The faint positives were FRER's

newhairdontcare · 19/04/2016 13:37

Hi Mrs,

When trying for DS I bought an asda test and it was negative. 2 days later and still no AF I tested using a digital test and positive! I'm not convinced some of the cheaper tests are that sensitive, especially at 4 weeks or so.

Afternoon ladies. Sorry am not addressing you personally but hope you are all having a good day.

I am totally shattered Sad.had all the good symptoms and for a minute was so excited and already thinking of what to buy baby. Started brown spotting in the morning but now am just certain it's the start of af.

10cycles down, no bfp. I feel miserable. Sorry for moaning ,I'm just so exhausted with ttc.

Good luck everyone yet to poas. Lots of baby dust

Mimilicious013 · 19/04/2016 13:48

Oh congratulations newhair.wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy hun!! 🎊

newhairdontcare · 19/04/2016 13:53

Thanks Mimi, trying not to get too excited yet. It was a very faint positive.

Sorry to hear you are feeling low. Have you spoken to your gp at all? a few friends have struggled and I think Clomid worked for them.

TTC is a very emotional time. Is your partner supportive? Sending you Flowers

Mimilicious013 · 19/04/2016 14:12

Thanks newhair. Dh tries to be but I don't think it affects him the same way. Am laying in bed just hoping that maybe if I rest ,it can stop ((how silly))

You must be excited hun. All fingers crossed the line will continue to get dark. Will this be your 1st baby?

Jod1985 · 19/04/2016 14:13

Gentle hugs mimi no wonder you are exhausted this is an emotional time and 10 months of it must be so exhausting

Mimilicious013 · 19/04/2016 14:18

Thanks jod was really hoping for a 2016 baby. Any news with you dear?

newhairdontcare · 19/04/2016 17:18

I don't think men get it, they don't realise how consuming it can be. Of course he realises it's upsetting / frustrating but its not his body. It's so disappointing when AF arrives.

We already have one DS who is 2, he keeps on asking for a baby sister. V cute. X

newhairdontcare · 19/04/2016 17:18

Ps not silly at all

SuchaJem · 19/04/2016 18:11

Hugs mimi Thanks some days are harder than others. I hope you feel brighter soon.
