Pregnancy symptoms after mc & D&C - HELP!!

Hi All, I had a MC 2 weeks ago - had been having small amount of spotting for a couple days, was referred for early scan (I was 10 wks), sadly no heart beat, so had a D&C 3 days later on 11th March - however I still have tender, slightly leaky boobs :( All other symptoms went straight after surgery but if anything boobs got worse & don't seem to be getting better. Anyone else had a similar experience? How long is this likely to go on? I just want closure now - really feel I'm stuck in some sort of hellish limbo, and that I can't really deal with any of this until my body gets the message that it's no longer pregnant

I'm sorry for your loss, OP, and I remember that feeling of just wanting it to stop. It can take a while for your hormones to settle back down to normal levels and, although it was a while ago for me, I seem to remember that it took about six weeks for everything to go back to normal.

However, as your symptoms seem to be getting worse, then I think it's worth seeing your GP. I appreciate you've probably had it up to here with doctors and medical intervention at the moment but call your doctor or maybe the clinic where you had the D&C. I hope they'll be able to put your mind at rest.

Thanks pippistrelle. I think you're right, I just need to give it some time. I have however spoken to the hospital this morning &, although the nurse I spoke with couldn't answer my concerns fully, she was of the same view. She is also speaking to the early pregnancy unit on my behalf & getting them to call me back with some more expert advice.
I had a complete mc 3 years ago & it was a very different experience - both physically and emotionally. I have since then had a successful pregnancy - now mum to a VERY boisterous 21 month old son! However in some respects I think that makes this a bit harder.

It would certainly make the physical aspects harder as there's no chance of just hunkering down and getting some rest. I hope the early pregnancy unit are able to provide reassurance.

They were very reassuring........not much else they can offer really though. Just got to get on with it. Things do seem to be getting better slowly, each day is a bit easier.

That's good, Ranger. It can be a slow process, but ultimately, maybe that's not such a bad thing. It's a thing you can't just shrug off so physical symptoms might remind you to try to take things easy and be kind to yourself. And I hope you have some supportive real life people around you.
