Period pain straight after ovulation pain?

Hi all,

I've had really bad ovulation pain for the last few days, which dh and I took as a sign to get jiggy with it, but now I am having period-type pains, surely this can't be right? Has anyone experienced ovulation and period coming so close together?

I usually get pains for a few days after ovulation when i am pregnant.... it usually carries on and off till I am 6-10 weeks pregnant.

They are usually sharper than period pains and NOT an ache.

The other thing it could be is the corpus Leutum- which is the sack the egg burst out of.... sometimes that can continue to throb a bit post ovulation.

HTH

Hmm, interesting! Last time when we conceived ds, I felt a sort of 'popping' low down in my abdomen a couple of hours after doing the deed, and then felt oddly light for the rest of the day. Nothing like that today, and these are achey back pain type things, rather than sharp.

Oh well, at least if the period arrives I can try out my new mooncup!

oh well.. I hope this time is diff for you ;)

every pregnancy can be different - my implantation aches and cramps have got worse each time... but maybe yours get better

Mooncups are amazing.... but I do hope it waits till after another pregnancy if you are ttc ;)

What are Mooncups?

tribpot · 04/01/2007 20:12

Let's hope so! I did say buying the mooncup was virtually guaranteed to mean I didn't get a chance to use it.

Mooncup - every self-respecting, lentil-weaving MNer should have one!

Hmm, period pains have died off today, to be replaced by major 'brain dumbness'. I think I am clutching at straws, but I did have this when newly pregnant with ds; I flew out to Denmark literally two days after he was conceived, and got the time we needed to leave for the airport wrong, and arrived 10 mins before the flight took off. Fortunately at Norwich airport it is possible to charge through security in that amount of time - I didn't even hold the plane up despite my pleading phonecalls to the KLM desk.

Anyway, I'm sure no-one else cares about all this, but it's a useful record for me. Hmm!
