Arghhh!

Took test this morning, left for 10mins & came back to this- is it an evaporation line?

It looks like a line to me! Why do you think evaporation line?

JG25 · 10/03/2016 19:32

I don't know- I just think I can't be this lucky! I'm not due for another 6 days so just feel its all too good to be true!

I can see a very faint line

Nospringflower · 10/03/2016 19:34

You will now need to do them every day and see if it gets stronger! Hope so! Smile

JG25 · 10/03/2016 19:37

Do you mind if I'm neurotic & post a picture of the test when I pulled it apart?

Urgh, I almost want someone to come along & tell me it looks like an evap line so I don't get too excited!

Here it is-

I don't really know about pulled apart tests but I'm sure someone will! Do you mean the line came up after 10mins or you did it this morning and waited 10 mins and there was nothing then you came home tonight and it was like that?

Flossiesmummy · 10/03/2016 19:42

I think that's a BFP. Thanks

Nospringflower · 10/03/2016 19:48

Have just looked up evaporation lines - from what I gather it depends if that line came up within the timeframe it was meant to. If it was hours later it could be an evaporation line (hope not).

JG25 · 10/03/2016 19:48

My god, I can't even see a line in that picture I posted.

So, to clarify, I did the test, put it on the side, went to see to DC1 & came back within 10-15mins max and saw this.

I'm so nervous, I can't bring myself to test again just incase it's negative. It's almost like I'd prefer to have a fake positive then a real negative :(

OP posts:
TattieHowkerz · 10/03/2016 19:50

I think it is a faint positive, which makes sense seeing as it is so early, congratulations Thanks

Nospringflower · 10/03/2016 19:50

Well that sounds fine especially when it is so early. Sounds like a good chance of it being positive. The sensible you should do another one in the morning but the less sensible you should do another one now - and show us!!

JG25 · 10/03/2016 19:56

I'm considering waking DC1 to go to boots and pick up a first response.

15 hard months it took to conceive her, 100's of ovulation tests- I still can't believe I'd be lucky enough on my second month of trying.

OP posts:
Flossiesmummy · 10/03/2016 19:59

It took me a similar amount of time for Dd1 and three cycles for this pregnancy Smile

JG25 · 10/03/2016 20:06

I've decided that I'm going to buy a FRER this afternoon (I'm in the US) & test again tomorrow morning.

I'm bracing myself for a negative though, considering that I'm not due for another 6 days!

OP posts:
Nospringflower · 10/03/2016 21:01

Keep us posted / good luck!

JG25 · 10/03/2016 23:24

Will do, just bought FRER and trying desperately not to test right now!

OP posts:
Pinkheart5915 · 10/03/2016 23:28

Test again for the next few days, the line will get darker.

Keep us posted

Fingers crossed

JG25 · 11/03/2016 01:50

So I've just done another test & it's definately negative.

Sitting in bed crying. Boo!

Six days is still very early. Not all is lost just yet.

Flowers for you Thanks

JG25 · 11/03/2016 18:12

Thanks Flossiesmummy. It's so hard to feel relaxed about it, it's crushing everyone time I see a BFN.

OP posts:
Nospringflower · 12/03/2016 11:23

Aww sorry to read that. I'm still a bit hopeful for you though as it is definitely a line showing there and it is very early so still time to go. Good luck.

JG25 · 12/03/2016 19:05

Thanks nospringflower, I've taken a 2 more tests both which come back as negative.

Does anyone here have any advice on how many dpo they were when they got a very very faint line?

OP posts:
TattieHowkerz · 12/03/2016 19:57

I got a very faint line at 10dpo, but I know other people can take up to 15 or 16 dpo to get a line.

Obliviated · 12/03/2016 20:01

Blue dye tests are awful for evaporation lines. I think they always dry with a very faint blue line. Pink dye tests are more reliable. Sorry you got a bfn.

I got faint positives on a first response early test at 8do.
