Best OPK kits

Just that really. We're TTC after a missed miscarriage at Christmas and I would like to start testing my ovulation. Which are the best on the market in your experience?

Clearblue duel kits are great if you have £30 a month to blow.....if like me you would rather spend less then the one step dip tests on Amazon are about £3 for 50 and in my experience completely reliable.

Thank you justtheonethen... It was a hideous time and dragged on for over 4 weeks in the end. But we're trying to be positive and start trying again.

Money is tight. I have already got the One Step ones, but I'm not convinced they're accurate - I think I may be about to ovulate/ovulating now and nothing showed this morning not even a faint line. I might invest in the Clear Blue test and trial it against the One Step...

I did that for a month and the one step was totally accurate. Worth noting that I sometimes have no line at all then bam positive next day so keep going with them.

You have to do those ones in the afternoon by the way, not the morning.

Ah ok.... Maybe I won't panic so much.

I had no idea about having to do them in the afternoon... just assumed it was like pregnancy tests! Thanks for the advice, I'll try again when I get home.

That could be why! I think lh is produced over the day. The clearblue ones you do in the meaning but those ones you definitely do in afternoon!

I can second justtheonethen's recommendation. I use these and they work really well.I test at 11am and 5pm and when I'm ovulating it shows on both sticks. Very sorry to hear about your loss.

I used the ones just the one recommended as well. The surge can come around late morning / lunchtime / early afternoon and those tests are so cheap you can test multiple times a day to really track what is happening.

It's a minefield!!!

I'm very lucky to already have a four year old boy from a previous relationship and fell very quickly with him. However, this time round we were trying for 9 months before our loss :(... I hadn't realised how complicated everything was AND how small the window of opportunity was!

I use the clear blue dual hormone ones, they tell you your estrogen rise and LH rise so gives you more fertile days. No trying to read the lines, just a smiley face. Once u buy the monitor, you can buy refills on ebay for £13. Plus if u know roughly when ur due to ovulate you only use 2 or 3 tests month anyway
