Does Sexual Position Really Matter??????

Ok... been ttc for 4 months now, and can feel AF on her way, so it will be cycle number 5 all too soon!! I was just wondering if the sexual position really matters???

So if you don't mind sharing, if you know (!) what position you conceived in???

I have heard/read that the missionary is the "best" for TTC and that "girl on top" is the worst... anyone have experiences that concur or contradict these theories???

Ta.

Missionary worked for me... think about gravity! Put a pillow under your bum , legs in air for 20 mins after and just relax.

I'm not sure is the honest answer- the two times I have caught one was with me on top and the other was a bit of an ann summers night so couldn't be sure!

I always hear that missionary is better as you don't have to move afterwards.. good luck

I'm happy to do the legs in the air and the cycling manoevre (don't worry I get DH to do it with me, so I don't look ridiculous on my own!) but the missionary position isn't my position of choice it's nice and all - but don't want to only do it that way whilst ttc.

It does not matter what position is used, no one position is better than another. Its just another myth that's been banded about.

Legs up in the air for a certain period of time post intercourse is also not necessary. Enough sperm will get to the cervix from where they won't escape.

I second that!!! Should be a sex ed teacher!!

You should set up a thread that answers everyone questions... it would be really useful.

Please can you look at the lacking in optimism thread and see if you can help me with the facts of ovulating... I'm mighty confused!

That's good to know! Dh and I don't "fit" very will in missionary, and he has a dodgy back....

TTC with shouts of 'ouch, I've got cramp' isn't really what I'm after
