Ovulation immediately after MC

Just looking for some MN wisdom. I had a MC last month at 8 weeks. I stopped bleeding after one week last Monday. I'm still getting positive pg tests (which I know to expect) and therefore positive ov tests. I wondered though could I be ovulating or do you not ovulate until all hcg is out of your system? Also, whilst I stopped bleeding last week, I've had some brownish discharge / blood and wondered if that could be related to ov or would that suggest I'm nowhere near Ov?

Looking to work it all out as we have decided to start ttc right away. TIA X

You can't trust any pregnancy or ovulation tests until the pregnancy hormone is out of your system. Wait until you have a negative pregnancy test, count that day as cd1 then test with your opks. I had my first af about 28 days after the bleeding had stopped after my mc but I didn't ovulate that month. I read that is common. Good luck

Sorry for your loss. I had about five and a bit weeks of positive pregnancy tests and then it took me ten days to get a positive ovulation test, but I am not at all certain I did actually ovulate that cycle.

Thanks both and sorry for your losses. I sort of thought I was being a bit optimistic. It's my way of trying to move on. Think when I get next AF I will be absolutely devastated all over again

You will. First af is brutal. You will be okay though. After your hormones lift massively. I felt much better despite the bleeding being traumatic. Currently expecting my second af despite ttc last month. Sad not to be pregnant but also feel like I'd rather not be pregnant than have another mc.
