I think I'm pregnant

So I gave dd 6, ds 8 months and I think I'm pregnant again. I've was due af 16th February it's not arrived. Boobs are sore nausea the past 2 mornings and sensitive sense of smell. I've ordered some tests of amazon but the problem is I don't think I'll cope with a 3rd. Ds is a Velcro baby and I'm lucky if a can grab a quick bath these days. He needs constant attention and the only break I get is when he's having a nap. Also I'll feel so guilty that dd having to already share my attention will be pushed out even more. Please tell me I'll cope if that test turns out positive.

I can't tell you if you'll cope as I don't know you but what I will say is we are often stronger than we think and it's only when tested we find out how well we can cope. I think you should see what the test result is discuss things with your OH and consider your options and the possible long term implications of those options. Children are remarkable resilient and I'm sure your DD and your DS will adjust to a new arrival should there be one. Good luck

You may be able to cope but you dont HAVE to keep the pregnancy, there is always the option of abortion, the earlier the better. Do what's right for you not what you think you SHOULD do. Its your body your choice. For me, in your situation i would choose to terminate.

Firstly take a test and find out if you are or not. You may be putting yourself through all this stress for nothing.

Than you so much. Tests should be delivered tomorrow so I'll if positive I'll have a good chat to OH and try to come to a decision. If it's negative I'm off up doctors to get some better birth control!

I think I'll have to do some thinking and talk to dp about it. An abortion is something Id never thought I'd consider not that I'm against it. I'm trying to imagine what life would be like in 9 months time. Dd is well behaved and I'd hope ds wouldn't be so clingy I'd think id cope then. I still have all ds things that I could keep and re use.

Hi, I'm in a very similar position to you deathly, I cried like a baby when I got my bfp but I'm feeling a lot more positive now.

Luckily you do have options should you decide to not continue with the pregnancy, and if you do continue then life will probably be much different in 9 months (I bloody hope so anyway!).

I think I need to get over the initial shock and then see how I feel about it then and how dp feels he said he would stand by me what ever if decide and support me but I need to know how he feels about it himself.

Does your DP know yet DeathlyHallows? Has he ever spoken about he would feel about having another?

Yes he knows he said he would love more for me it's just the timing We should have been more carefull.

Deathly I'm in exactly the same position as you. I have a 9 month old Velcro baby (love that term) and I am 12 weeks with dc3.

I've also considered terminating, which I thought I'd never do.

I have no advice but I just wanted to share that you're not alone!

Nailsathome thank you for your overly message it's made me think I can do this. I found myself thinking about double prams earlier imagining the future. Things are bound to get easier they can't get any worse! I think I'm swinging between a rock and hard place! But when I look at dd and ds I think I could never ever be without you and I'd think id be the same with 3rd.

Deathly I was in your situation a while back. Dd was 10 ds was 2 dd was 6 months and I found out I was pregnant (crappy mini pill). I was really upset because I was unsure how I could cope.
but now that pregnancy is a1 year old and life is great. It's had some tough days but I wouldn't change having them all.
I'm just trying to say that it will be fine,just tough to start with.

I was even thinking sling rather than double buggy it's cheaper! I can do this I'm strong dp said he can do it too it's my decision it's my body he says! I was on mini pill too

Hi dunno if im doin this right im new to the page I need advice im 8 days late now but have no pregnancy symtoms taken 3 tests frm home bargains all negative im so worried as i have just started a new job many thanx in advance x

When I had a early scan the dr said the mini pill failure rate is really common.
The worst thing j found about it all was having to tell people. There comments were rude or not supportive.
But now I get comments such as 'gosh you have your handful' etc .

I think that's not a bad age gap. By the time the new baby is born 8 month old will be walking and interested in more stuff and not as clingy X

I was also in this situation but starting to come round to it all now. Was just a massive shock. You are not alone. This is my 5th, 12-13weeks there around. I have ds1 7, ds2 4, ds3 2, and ds4 who is now 10 months. I am starting uni in September to do a degree in nursing so worrying abit as Im due early September. I think we sometimes find we are so much stronger than we think :)
