Positive opk 2 days after period

Is this likely? I stopped bleeding the day before yesterday and today my opk has come back positive. I'm sceptical. They're just the cheapo Amazon ones.

I got a couple of days of really dark opk's just after af last cycle, they went from dark, to pale and then back to dark with a positive on cd 17. It confused me too! Have you got a pic of your opk? I think it is technically possible, but unlikely. Perhaps you have a high natural level of lh generally. That's what I put mine down to.

Cycles do strange things, just let your man feel lucky, you never know

FlourishingMrs · 20/02/2016 18:16

Oh, and take a pregancy test

cakesandphotos · 20/02/2016 18:33

flourishing Why a pregnancy test? We dtd this morning so if it's accurate we might have caught it.

I would say that that's not quite positive. The test line is marginally lighter than the control. Mine look like that the first few days after af, and then go lighter, then darker again. Definitely a mind boggler though! And keep dtd! You never know! Definetly better to dtd than not!

Ah ok, good to know, thanks! I'll keep testing and then I'll be able to see the pattern Smile I have masses of them!

flourishing was suggesting a pregnancy test as OPK's can show positive when you're pregnant. You've just finished bleeding but it might not have been a period. So take a pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant.

You never know!! My DBro was conceived on Day 6 of my mum's cycle, she is 100% sure of this... he was unplanned Grin

cakesandphotos · 22/02/2016 08:17

Oh I didn't know opk could show pregnancy too! Thanks for the info Smile I'll take a test to make sure but I can't imagine I've been that lucky!

An LH surge just means your body is gearing up to ovulation not that you'll definitely ovulate. So it could just be that for whatever reason, you've had a surge but won't ovulate then you could have another surge later in your cycle and ovulate.
I make sure I temp as well as it's a good way of knowing if you've actually ovulated.
TTC can be a confusing business can't it?

cakesandphotos · 22/02/2016 12:18

It's so confusing magpie! All through my teenage years I was told if you have sex, you'll get pregnant. I wish it was that easy now I actually want to!
I've been temping too but not sure how sensitive my thermometer is

I think I ovulate just after I finish my period. My cycle is only about 24 days usually and I have a 6-7 day period. To get DS we had sex on days 7 and 9 and it worked. So if your cycle is fairly short it is possible you are ovulating.

cakesandphotos · 22/02/2016 13:42

My cycles have been all over the shop recently so it could be anything. I just assumed it would be more than just a few days after my period

My partner ejaculated inside me on the 28th (the last day of my period) been getting mild cramps, headaches and nausea. Taken a couple ovulation strips and a faint positive has come up, ovulating early?? Possible pregnancy?? (I know it’s very unlikely)
