Yes NK was normal. Metformin will stay the same, have some leftover clexane, need to check how many days as took them ages to order them in last time. Am considering not taking progesterone as have taken it for several BFP's from 7dpo and it didn't work, several from 10-12 dpo and didn't work and the first few bfps I'd been taking it from 14dpo anyhow and still didn't wot so my gut is the progesterone for me at least might be causing losses. Crazy but that's how I feel.

Imps9 · 04/04/2016 10:10

Well you shouldn't actually need the prog as this is a natural cycle. So maybe discuss not taking it with the consultant?

keepitgoing · 04/04/2016 10:44

Have they tested your prog before? Was it low?

I can see the line x

cartoontrickster · 04/04/2016 10:56

I can see it! This is it loopy I just know it.

Bloody hell I'd better hurry up you will all be leaving me Wink

Imps9 · 04/04/2016 11:05

Yes, this one is definitely it Loops.

Not that we would ever leave you behind Trix, but we won't have to because this month is your month. When is Shag Week due to start?

cartoontrickster · 04/04/2016 11:26

I think shagging will commence tomorrow!
This month has to be the one, right???

Imps9 · 04/04/2016 11:37

YES. There is no other possible outcome.

ControlGeek · 04/04/2016 13:13

Hello ladies, I know I've been absent for a very long time, but could I please be really cheeky and ask for a little brooking in my direction? After January's IVF resulted in a cp we went straight into the next cycle complete with clexane, aspirin, prednisolone and iv intralipids. This is it guys, there's nothing more they can throw at it. So probably my last shot. Well, I got my BFP this morning at 5dp5dt. I really, really need for this one to be my sticky and not just an empty sac again. There is nothing more they can do. Any and all brooking gratefully received xxx

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 04/04/2016 13:14

Imps I don't really have a consultant at the moment, Mr Watts is retiring, in fact he might have retired now. I was told the name of one of his colleagues but I've not met him or had any letters etc to say I've been transferred to him yet. I am most likely to contact Prof B as he said if I got a bfp to let him know and they could scan me as I think he might be a bit intrigued as to how easily I get bfps but as to how many have been lost now, yet I didn't test high for NK cells. But I'm not going to contact anyone for a few days as I want to make sure the line looks like it progresses ok.

Re progesterone, I've never had my levels checked, it's just something that Coventry and my old NHS consultant believe in, that it can help improve the lining and implantation and formation of the placenta...but since I started taking it I haven't got past 5 weeks.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 04/04/2016 13:15

Cross post geek!! Congrats on your BFP. That makes 3 BFP's I know of for today!! I hope this is your happy ending x

ControlGeek · 04/04/2016 13:21

Thanks Loopy, and congrats on yours - may this be your sticky one. Can I ask, is your former Mr W based in Worcester? I seem to have an inkling you are round my area. If so, I'll be throwing a celebration - he was the cause of a lot of my ttc stress and nightmares! Progesterone from 7dpo sounds a bit odd, I'm not surprised you're wary now, you've really been through the mill.

keepitgoing · 04/04/2016 13:27

Oh MY GOD geek you lovely thing, it's so good to see you!! And with news of a bfp no less. I will send so much brooking love in your direction. Did you use donor sperm in the end? Don't reply if you'd rather not. So sorry to hear of your Jan cycle, that's cruel

loopy I can't see how progesterone could be bad but you never know

Go trix! Someone has to get a shag round here ;)

ControlGeek · 04/04/2016 13:35

And you too keep, though I remember why I stopped coming here in my lunch hour - work's security restrictions are driving me potty every time I try to post or refresh the page! It is embryo adoption that we have to go for - double donor, basically. At least we get a trip out to Spain each cycle ;)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/04/2016 13:45

geek how lovely to see you and huge congratulations Flowers I will be brooking to the max that this is your sticky one.
I also had a CP in January but had Another frostie put back exactly 1 month later and am now 9+1. Would be absolutely wonderful if this really is the thread where we all get and stay diffed

Go trix you can do it (with some help from mrtrix!)

Oh and loopy I haven't looked at your Picture Close up (don't want to enlarge it at work for obvious reasons) but I will have a good look later

Oooooh hello Geek!!! A Double Whammy Monday in Brooking Land!! Sending every ounce of embie sticking energy to you and Loops. Potentially this could be the best Brooking year EVER.

Keep have you told work yet?

I just purchased the most unattractive pair of stretchy trousers from M&S. Comfy, but beyond unsexy. Everyone at work will wonder what the hell I look like, but none of my work trousers fit anymore.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/04/2016 13:48

imps we need a link! so we can laugh

OP posts:
Imps9 · 04/04/2016 13:54

No way Jose! There probably isn't a link anyway as they were in the sale for £5.99, presumably because they wouldn't otherwise be able to sell them!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/04/2016 14:02

is it these
I'm sure they look Lovely, I won't mock an elasticated waist! But your colleagues might notice if you don't normally wear clothes fom M & S Classic Collection!

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/04/2016 14:06

I have some like this I think but its not quite warm enough for me to wear them yet - but they might not be smart enough for you (I don't ever wear them with something tucked in!)

keepitgoing · 04/04/2016 14:08

Ooh Spain, very nice. :) how's mrgeek?

No imps I'm hiding in my office. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow. My friend said she didn't tell work till 20 weeks, that could be me!

I have no bump except a little in the evening, normal clothes. No odd looks. But I do get a horrible taste in my mouth after eating particularly after eating sweet things. It's nasty. Bleurgh, just gotta keep eating, I guess...

Imps9 · 04/04/2016 14:10

Lol you stalker - yes that is them but in navy rather than black (they didn't have any black left)!!

Imps9 · 04/04/2016 14:12

I don't have a bump Keep, just bloat and flab. A really shitty diet and next to no exercise is officially the best way to put on weight.

Pastamancer · 04/04/2016 14:30

Geek! Brooking my socks off for you

Imps Did you try on any bras while you were in there? I know M&S can be a bit crap with the sizes they stock so not sure if they do a band small enough

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 04/04/2016 14:34

Geek yes, he is/was at Worcester/Kiddiminster and I think Malvern. Whereabouts do you live then? Didn't realise you were anywhere near me!

Makes me smile all the talk about elasticated trousers. I spent most of my 2 pregnancies working from home with just occasional client visits, and I pretty much lived in some "yoga pants" as they called them at the time from mothercare. No elastic, no anything, just slightly huggy Lycra feel to it and incredibly soft and comfortable. And not too long for my short legs as most places don't make maternity clothes for short people!! Still have 3 pairs in a draw here in case I ever need them again...

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 04/04/2016 14:38

Oh and geek the progesterone from 7dpo is the protocol recommended by Coventry Implantation clinic, they believe it can help the lining prepare for implantation and it's crucial between 7-14dpo and that can be too late to start at 14dpo for some people....but for some people it can act as contraceptive and for some people it doesn't seem to help at all, and it's all guesswork not knowing who needs what. I'm thinking as I've tried it at all different starting points that maybe I just don't need it. But it's the not knowing what to chuck at it. Take it and it might help. Take it and it might cause it to be rejected.
