BFP on Clearblue Advanced Monitor

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is any chance this could be wrong?

I tested first thing this morning (I've been testing like a crazy woman, my period is I believe not due until Friday, although I could be one day late - had a has it started no it hasn't situation last month)

This afternoon I tested using a Clearblue digital as I wanted to see the 1-2 week thing, but was a BFN

Will be testing again tomorrow morning and I know that to get a false positive is very rare am just not confident in the monitor (despite having a negative on Saturday) as had two months of highs with no peaks (but know I ovulated on the 5th as I felt it happen)

I know it's likely I'm being very cautious not to believe it but tomorrow seems like years away :)

Anyone else had any experience of the monitor?

I would say that this early it's hard to tell and really until you are well past your AF due date you'll not get anything guaranteed - or so I read. I'm on cycle 1 TTC so I've not POAS yet so can't really speak from experience, sorry.

I've done plenty of POAS it is very frustrating :) when your waiting for a BFP or Peak on a OPK - I wish you much luck in your journey thank you for reading and responding.

General rule is if it's positive it's positive, it's just a bit different because it's an advanced monitor its my first experience of the monitor (following a MC in Nov)

They are more sensitive than ususal tests apparently due to some internet research and according to there tests no false positive in their research.

Just really looking to see if anyone else has had a positive from a monitor not the average stick - to find a negative on one in the afternoon - I'm sure the afternoon test just wasn't sensitive enough or my urine was diluted. As positive is positive appears to be general consensus on Google

It's just been such a painful few months and I want to just be yes it really is happening again for us :)

False positives are very rare but I would definitely suggest testing with a First Response first thing of a morning, as these generally more sensitive.

Generally, clearblue are not the best to use for first confirming a pregnancy as they along with other digi tests aren't as sensitive. Pink dye tests are the most sensitive to HCG hence first response being one of the best to use :)

By all means if you do get a a BFP, use a clear blue a few days after for dating purposes if you want to!

Also if you don't get a BFP straight away don't be disheartened as some women take longer than others to build up HTC so it could be a couple of days into your missed period or more until you get a positive it all depends on the lady!

Unfortunately my first response test was also negative or so far as I could see...

I'm really asking for advise with the tests on the monitor as I have had a BFP but the other tests haven't "confirmed" this

I'm quite a veteran to POAS (after miscarriage took me a very long time to receive a negative) so I have lots of experience with the normal sticks this is just my first time receiving a BFP on the monitor and I'm not sure if this is correct... I don't want to get my hopes up until I didn't want to get my hopes up until I can clearly see a result on the lined tests/get the week indicator to confirm

Have tried calling their helpline no response after three lots of twenty minutes... Have spent £300 on this bloody monitor and to not trust it is rather frustrating

I forgot to add, thank you for taking the time to respond I do appreciate it - it's awful this waiting thing!!! Let alone finally seeing the BFP and then to find it might be wrong is just heartbreaking

I totally understand, you don't know where you stand!

It is rare for false positives to occur because the test has to be detecting some HCG in your system unless of course the test is daily which you have no way of knowing!

I'd say, as hard as it is, you're best to wait at lease a couple days and try again with a pink dye test. If it's still negative and no AF then test every 2 days. There's nothing worse than having to wait but if you keep testing and getting negatives it's only going to upset you and it might be that you are pregnant there just not enough HCG there!

So sadly a false positive... As far as the monitor was concerned am still waiting for a response from them as maybe the monitor is faulty

But I'm not out of the game as AF still hasn't shown her ugly head yet, and she should have arrived by now (last month was very has it stared as it not - doctor thinks maybe a chemical pregnancy last month - god it's a nightmare)

So am going to wait for a few days and test again

But am very annoyed at cost associated with this damm monitor

Used two 10m tests and nothing :( so definetly a false positive

Which brand tests did you use each time you tested just out of interest?

I'll definitely be recommending friends not to use the Clear Blue monitor tests by the sounds of things!

So the day of the BFP :( on the monitor I used a clear blue in the afternoon

Next day as I didn't have any monitor pregancy tests left, I used a first response and an Internet cheap (used by NHS) and nothing

I went to boots and got an extra set of tests from Clearblue for the monitor and the monitor test was negative

I have used the monitor following a miscarriage when my cycle was "normal" and to see that BFP to find out it was false was beyond awful

I am so careful with testing, I actually use my phone to make sure it's 15 seconds

Am going to try again tomorrow to reach someone at Clearblue to talk to, but knowing what I know now I wish I had just brought very cheap OPKtest and just the pink ovulation test from Clearblue to double check.

I've spent at least £400 on bloody sticks

Knowing what I know now I would,and will if this cycle we are not lucky

Will be purchasing OPK kits from amazons and watching for my own serge and then using the pink Clearblue tests (they give a yes or no) when I think the lines are close together in colour

I'm so disappointed in Clearblue and have left three messages to be called back and nothing and in the UK we have no option to email them
