TTC post miscarriage

I am wondering when it would be acceptable to go back and ask for provera/clomid following my miscarriage?

I had irregular periods for the year following stopping the pill. Two cycles of around 180 days, followed by a surprise pregnancy which must have happened around 40 days after the second period. I miscarried at 9 weeks in December then had a period 28 days after the D&C. I am now on day 32 following that period and know realistically I may not ovulate again for a while. I am wondering how soon I can go and request provera/clomid? I had been due to start on this privately the month we fell pregnant.

I feel like we have gone backwards, it’s driving me to distraction wondering if I will have to wait another 6 months like before. I know they will probably tell me to wait a few months but I really need something positive to focus on. Anyone got experience of this?

I've had a miscarriage, but not your year long history of long cycles. My understanding of it is that if you're not pregnant after a year of trying (which sounds like it's the case for you), or if you're 35 or over and tried for 6 months, or if you've had 3 miscarriages, or if you have good reason for thinking there's a problem, then you can go to your GP and ask for tests/ NHS help. So I'd go and ask your GP, possibly with the NICE guidelines in your hand depending on what your GP is like. If you were willing to go private, you've got that as a back-up option if your GP says no to Clomid/Provera.
