What is this strange period?

My period was 5 days late, which is very unusual. We are ttc. Now it's here it is very heavy and painful (compared to normal), with lots of red, stringy, jelly like stuff. Hpt were always bfn. Can anyone shed any light on what could be happening please?

When I was ttc I had some really odd periods that I don't think we're chemical pregnancy as I never had a positive HPT until I was pregnant. But maybe it's the briefest chemical pregnancy? One that never even properly gets going?

That's sort of what I wondered. This is the first time it's happenned. Sort of gives me hope!

Me too! My last one was 3 days late, all bfns, weird brown spotting and jelly like discharge then a full heavy bleed. Never happened before.
I too think the earliest of early chem pregnancies.

Hello all. I went to the docs today to discuss odd periods. She said that due to this light mucus bleed it is possible I'm pregnant and that was implantation. I haven't tested yet as I think it will be a Bfn, it gives others something to think about though ?

My periods are all over the place. I had that odd bleed on day 50 that lasted for about two to three days. The doc said that it may have been implantation but I don't want to test just to get a negative. I did a test last Thursday that was negative and the odd bleed began on Friday. We haven't had sex since 26th January due to bleed and DH doing nights!

How's everyone else getting on?

I folded and tested it's bfn. Don't laugh but I've got a gut feeling this isn't going to happen for us. Hope everyone else is ok x
