Any ideas what the hell is going on here?

Don't suppose you know what the hell is going on here. Im ttc#2, on cycle 2 and breastfeeding my toddler still.

Got all excited because I was 3 days late but now have had brown spotting for 2 days but no proper period. Normally im very regular 27/28 days and only spot once or twice before full on flow. I have done 3 pregnancy tests and all negative and am now driving myself crackers wondering what's happened to my period!

I have tons of symptoms but get these anyway with pmt. Was having mild cramps but not proper period pain. I just want AF to turn up properly as I think that would be easier to deal with than this limbo torture :-(
Can anyone shed any light?

I was BF my toddler- had one period then got a bit excited as next one late. Tested a few days late and a week late- BFN. I googled and read that periods are often irregular when they come back esp if BF so I assumed that was it and thought the next period would eventually show. A few weeks later I threw up which is odd fir me- tested and BFP. My cycle was obviously just out and I ovulated about a week late.

Thanks cookie. I'm wondering if it is something to do with BF. But my periods have been back since 9 months and he's now 2.5 so I thought it had all settled down now and was hopefully fertile again. He's been very gradually feeding less over the last few months (finally! ). Could be the change in bf hormones?

It might just be that there's not enough HTC for a positive yet. Fingers crossed!

I spoke to soon, AF came on friday with a vengeance :-(. Actually really releived though as now I an move on to the next cycle and stop the torture. I am wondering whether it was maybe just a fertilised egg that was somehow not viable as I am never late normally but I guess I'll never know! Here's hoping for a March BFP!
