I am just on my way out but will be back later to catch up properly Smile

SunnyDays1987 · 08/05/2016 13:00

Thank you so much minty! I really need the company and distraction from here to the end of the line!

Mimilicious013 · 08/05/2016 13:21

Welcome sunny ,you are most welcome and good luck on the ttc madness. Hope your journey is much shorterGrin

Enjoy your outing minty.

How are you feeling drmum?

Ohno waves

SunnyDays1987 · 08/05/2016 13:28

Thank you mimi! How long have you been TTC for? Have you got other DC?

Mimilicious013 · 08/05/2016 13:46

This is cycle 11 hun and I do have dc.how old are you, what cycle and any dc (if u don't mind me asking)

SunnyDays1987 · 08/05/2016 13:55

Did it take you long to conceive your other DC? How are you finding TTC? Do you have short cycles? Mine are quite long so it feels like a long time waiting for every stage.

No, not at all. I'm 28, have a DS and this is cycle one for me. We were going to wait a few months but I didn't want to put it off only to find it took a while so we thought we might as well start now. I think I'll know a bit more how I feel about it after my first TWW!

ohnonotanother1 · 08/05/2016 20:53

Hi everyone and welcome sunny!

I've been too knackered to type the last few days but the notifications of new messages seem to have started again which gave me the kick I needed to get back in touch.

How old is your ds sunny? Are you just seeing how things go or using opk/temping?

Drmum how are you feeling now?

Minty - how long til test day? Will you be testing on the day af is due and avoiding testing early?

Mimi - I'm losing track, are you in the tww now?

No real news here. Opk are getting darker, think I'm due to ov tmrw/tue so dtd yesterday and today. I don't tell my DH when FW is but he was joking earlier and said there'd be a second go later which would be handy so close to ov but I bet he'll be asleep! He's got the day off for my sons bday tmrw so hoping we an age to dtd then too. Have been enjoying the sun today with some pimms and had a nice snooze while my son was napping so I'm hoping being relaxed will help. Feeling a bit emotiona this weekend with my son turning one, all mixed up between thinking he's at such an amazing age and so much fun that I want to just enjoy him/he's so amazing that I can't wait to do it again/how will I ever love another baby this much. Ridiculous i know!

SunnyDays1987 · 08/05/2016 21:08

Thanks ohno! DS is 16 months now. No I'm just seeing what happens this month. I temped last time because I had some crazy 50 odd day cycles coming off the pill and I had no idea if I was OVing or not. It was so so stressful. I'll only start chatting again if it's not happening this time! I'm not sure how accurate temping would be when DS wakes at completely different times in the morning!

Turning one is a big milestone isn't it! I often wonder whether it's possible to feel the same about another baby. Also I worry about the guilt because they'd have to share your attention and also because the new baby doesn't get the same attention the first did. Being a Mum is hard sometimes!!! When was your son one?

What cycle are you on? I'm hoping to OV over the next few days too so we might be POAS buddies!!

ohnonotanother1 · 08/05/2016 21:29

I've often thought about temping but then realised I never get more than a couple of hours sleep in a row so it's pointless! My son isn't too bad at sleeping but still wakes at least once and my husbands snoring wakes me about a hundred times a night.

He's one tomorrow, we had a party on sat and some family celebrations today. I also think it'd be quite poetic to fall preg with the second over his first bday weekend.

I actually can't remember exactly what cycle I'm on, came off the pill sometime after Xmas but for the first couple of months had various things going on so never managed to dtd at the right time but I think this is only the 3rd month where I'm in with a chance. I know these things never happen to a plan but this month would be my perfect month to conceive in terms of due dates and having had 12 week scan before a couple of big boozy events so wouldn't need excuses etc. Fingers crossed....

SunnyDays1987 · 09/05/2016 07:28

My husband is the same ohno The amount of times I've laid there plotting to murder him in the night! Last pregnancy I had to evict him out of the bed for many nights song could get some sleep!!

Happy birthday to your DS! How do you feel today? Yeah it would be lovely to fall pregnant this weekend. Have you always wanted a small age gap? Did you conceive easily with him?

I got my BFP with my DS on 22nd May so I think it would be a nice round up to get another one at the same time! Time will tell though, I just feel like this cycle might get a bit complicated so I'm not too optimistic. We've DTD plenty so far though and have more days to go so who knows.

iwillbemrsminty · 09/05/2016 09:51

Sorry for going awol yesterday ladies, we had to go out to buy a new electric hob for the kitchen and then come back and fit it, which after about 4 hours and lots of swearing from dp, we managed!

So, welcome Sunny. Lovely to have you here. And hi to Onno, Mimi and waves to drmum, hope you are all ok today.

Happy birthday to your DS Onno I hope you all have a lovely day. You've got lovely weather for it Grin

Nothing to report at my end unfortunately, am either 10 or 11dpo and after saying I wouldn't, I gave in an POAS at 3am but it was bfn. To say Im disappointed is an understatement and also ridiculous Hmm considering I drank a pint of water before bed and it is still early, I got verrry faint at 12dpo last month. Not totally sure when to expect AF after chemical last month where bleeding started on CD33, although my apps are saying AF should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. I just feel Sad today, like I'm already out after stupidly thinking this would be the month. sighs

I'll wait and take another test if AF stays away. bitch

Positive vibes to you ladies, we need to get and stay upduffed.

ohnonotanother1 · 09/05/2016 09:52

I always wanted a way smaller age gap than I will now have, when I was preg I wanted to be preg again before Xmas but in sept he went through an awful phase of bad sleep, clinginess and constant whining so it put me off, then just as I was coming back round to the idea he got loads of awful viruses and so did i, then I started a new job and somehow it's may and I'm still not preg Confused

If you've dtd loads then you never know - fingers crossed!

SunnyDays1987 · 09/05/2016 11:51

Thanks minty! Well done on the hob fitting, sounds stressful!! Sorry about the BFN, I POAS at 4.30am ish when I got my BFP. Just couldn't get back to sleep so had to get up and try! What test did you use? You might have OVed slightly later this time after the CP? Have you been tracking OV?

ohno I know what you mean, we decided to start trying a few months ago and then just kept putting it off. Nothing makes you think you can't do it again like an ill child! DS was awake loads last night and I was just laid thinking why the hell do I want another little sleep thief! Are you just planning on having two?

Thanks, I've had some EWCM today which would tie in with me expecting to OV in a couple of days ish so fingers crossed. Just need to get some more DTD in! I really want to get pregnant this cycle because I hate TTC but equally dates wise it would work better if I got pregnant next month or the month after so I'm going to try and keep reminding myself that if AF comes!

DrMum83 · 09/05/2016 13:07

Hey all!!

I'm ok thanks. Bleeding has stopped now. Feeling a lot better in myself. Still having positive pregnancy tests which is annoying but they can be positive for 3 weeks after miscarriage so could be another 2 weeks. I stupidly took an OPK yesterday and it was blazing positive so started thinking I was ovulating but surely that couldn't be the case if still getting bfps?! Anyhow, I've just gotta be patient, I know.
We had a lovely weekend in the garden, how nice is the weather?! Off to see my best friend this afternoon, the one who is pregnant and we would have been due at same time, wish me luck!

Sunny - welcome!! Lovely to have you on board. I hope you catch the egg v quickly! Our DC are the same age! My DD is going through such a naughty whingey stage. It's mainly mealtimes. She is so fussy and constantly throwing food and just being a nightmare. She isn't walking yet which is also annoying and I've been starting to get stressed about it but I know there's plenty of time, my DH didn't walk until he was 18 months. How's your DS? Whereabouts are you in the world? (If u don't mind saying!)

ohno happy birthday to your DS!! Hope you have a lovely day as a family and hope you get to dtd. I know what you mean about feeling emotional, it's such a milestone when they turn one and reflecting back on the year, you realize how far you've come from bringing that tiny bundle home in the car seat..! Aaaah, making me really broody now!

mimi Im well thanks, how are you lovely? How's this cycle going? Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes and hope you had a lovely one and got spoilt! In the uk, we have Mother's Day in March, I presume you must be in the US or Oz?

minty what a faff with the hob, esp on a really nice hot day at the weekend! You are so not out either, way too early to write this month off. Could you hold your wee for ages and then do a FRER later? Or, save it til tomorrow morning but I'm a bad influence so sod it and do it tonight!

SunnyDays1987 · 09/05/2016 13:46

Hi DrMum glad to hear your bleeding has stopped and you're feeling a bit better. I think I read that some people get positive OPKs when they're pregnant so might be something to do with the hormones. I really don't know though, so sorry you're going through this. Will you try again next cycle? The weather is lovely yeah, so so hot! I hope it goes ok with your friend, must be difficult for you.

Is your DD spoon feeding yet? My DS just uses the bloody thing as a hammer and gets food every where so we largely have to eat finger foods. Fortunately he loves pasta! When's her birthday? DS was due late Jan but born early Jan because I had pre eclampsia. Another reason why I want to get another pregnancy out of the way whilst I'm still youngish. Ah hopefully she'll be a bit easier when she's walking. I found it miles easy when DS could just potter around himself. Although he still obviously has very whingey annoying stages!! I'm in Yorkshire. You?

SunnyDays1987 · 09/05/2016 13:50

Did I read that you'd had a MMC before DrMum?

DrMum83 · 09/05/2016 13:56

Thanks sunny - yes, will defo start trying as soon as I get a negative preg test! I've just ordered 25 Amazon cheapies for £3.65, amazing! Touch wood, I've been pregnant 3 times (2x mmc and my DD in the middle) and always got pregnant within 2 cycles. I just obviously can't always make them stick which is crap.

Yes, she's spoon feeding and again, stuff is going everywhere! I know what you mean about the hammer thing! DD was born 11th Jan..
Sorry you had pre eclampsia, that must have been scary!
So dya think you're ovulating around now? Hope this is your month!
I'm just outside Birmingham. I think minty is from your neck of the woods!!

iwillbemrsminty · 09/05/2016 15:41

You know what ladies, no matter what and how shit you're feeling this thread always ALWAYS cheers me up! Thank you FlowersStar

sunny drmum is correct I am in Yorkshire! What part are you in? I live in North Yorkshire but work in East Yorkshire. You a born and bred Yorkshire girl like me and been here all your life?

So pleased you're feeling miles better drmum. That is good news Smile just need your hgc levels to drop back to zero and you'll soon be back in that tww. Good luck with your pregnant friend, although you do sound as though you'll be able to deal with it now you've had time to process and deal with what happened.

sunny you may be right. I have been using OPKs but not religiously so I might have ov'd later than normal or fingers crossed just got a late implanter. Fingers firmly crossed. I did use a frer this morning but shouldn't have, what a waste! I have one left and some more coming via Amazon later this week. So need to try and wait til at least Wednesday!-- Yeah right!--

SunnyDays1987 · 09/05/2016 17:55

DrMum that's awful, so sorry. Really hope that next one is your time then. Do you know why it's happened? Do you find it reassuring at all that you get pregnant quickly? How did it go with your friend? Yeah pre eclampsia was rubbish. Totally out of the blue as well because I'd had normal BP all the way through my pregnancy and don't fit any of the risk categories other than first pregnancy. I'd be consultant led next time and have to have regular growth scans. Yeah I think I am, have had EWCM today and checked my CP (gross I know) and it fits the fertile description. Hoping to DTD a few more times over the next few days and then maybe the few days after just to be on the safe side!

Ah no minty I'm an immigrant! I moved from Lancashire to live with DH! Have you carried on DTD outside what you thought would be your FW? Are you planning on testing again tomorrow then?! I'm a POASaphobe! I absolutely hate it. I had one month coming off the pill where I thought I was pregnant so tested but got a BFN, waited another week without AF and absolutely convinced myself I was pregnant, only to get another BFN again. I was absolutely devasted! So now I won't test unless I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. I'd rather see AF than a BFN! I have a two pack of FRERs that were on offer at Asda when we decided we would start TTC this month so they are waiting for the time to come!!

ohnonotanother1 · 09/05/2016 20:00

Minty I think we were typing at the same time earlier! Excited to see lots of action on the thread again today, I feel like we've had a boring few days with no shagging or poas to excite us, just lots of waiting.

I'm pleased to bring you a live feed - I am having what I think are ov pains right this second! Felt the exact same last month, kind of bloated and uncomfy, had stabbing pains in my left side and now a dull ache in my right side (maybe two eggs- twins! Shock ConfusedAngrySadEnvy) doesn't feel like what I expected ov to feel like but I def remember feeling this last month on the day I had a positive opk and wondering if that's what it felt like. Exciting times! Am concerned I might not get another dtd in tonight, we are both knackered and it's likely we might fall asleep on the sofa so need to make a conscious effort to go to bed early and flash lots of boob to get DH in the mood haha. I'm 99% sure we won't manage it again tmrw when he's back at work so need to make sure I get one last shot so to speak!

Does anyone know when exactly ov happens? Are these pains a sign I'm actually ovulating right now or that it's about to begin? If it means right now then I wonder how long I've got to catch it?? So many questions...

Though at this rate I'm not sure I'll see my husband tonight. We have an over tired birthday boy so I'm sat listening to the bedtime protests thru the monitor while he wrestles with the beast. Who in return is chatting away and keeps standing up in his cot Confused

ohnonotanother1 · 09/05/2016 20:03

And minty you still have loads of time. Don't rule yourself out yet!! I didn't get a positive frer until 12 dpo and had the faintest of faint shadow on an ic the evening before but not enough to convince me it was positive just enough to mention it to my dr at my appt the next morning. Of course I couldn't wait for the blood test results so bought a frer from the chemist next door...

Everything crossed for you!

SunnyDays1987 · 10/05/2016 06:51

Did you manage to DTD ohno? I have no idea about how quick OV happens after symptoms. I always get confused with my EWCM because I get it before and after OV! So I never know what day I've actually OVed on unless I am temping! What CD are you on now? I think the egg lasts for around 12 hours ish though but if you've DTD prior then there should be some lads who are waiting anyways!

Hope you managed to get DS to sleep ok. I remember the constant standing up in the cot phase, I swear he used to do it in his sleep Angry!!!!

I used a FRER at 15dpo and got a very good BFP, used my IC at 16dpo and it wasn't as strong, so I'm guessing at 12dpo it would have been a squinter if at all even visible! Hope you have an exciting update soon minty!

ohnonotanother1 · 10/05/2016 07:35

Yes we managed to dtd but did another opk this morning to just check they're getting lighter and I think it's actually darker so I need to try and dtd again tonight Confused

So I'm not sure if my ov pains weren't ov pains at all, if they're a sign it was about to happen or whether the opks stay positive after actual ov for a bit? Who knows.

My son actually did his best ever sleep last night, he's not a brilliant sleeper but slept til 6 when he then came into my room and vomited all over my bed. Sigh.

How's everyone else getting on??

iwillbemrsminty · 10/05/2016 07:55

Morning all. Woken up to what I think is the start of AF. SadSadSad sighs gutted.

Boobs still hurt tho which isn't normal for me. Anyway just leaving for work, will be back laters.

Hope your son is feeling better soon ohno.

SunnyDays1987 · 10/05/2016 09:18

ohno! Looks like you might be getting your peak today then? I think I've read they turn negative quite quickly after? I really don't know though! Grim about the vom. Nasty!!

Really hope it's not the start of AF for you Minty. I did get a bit of spotting at 9/10dpo before getting my BFP. I was so sure I was out I drank about 5 glasses of wine over the weekend. Whoops! Hope it doesn't turn into AF for you.
