My first reaction to the pic in your op was "that's flooded". It shouldn't be pink all over like that. Usually it's user error and it's been peed on excessively or inaccurately but you say you dipped it?

I don't think internet cheapies are notorious for false positives, more that when used or read in error, you might assume positive when you should assume invalid. They're also v sensitive so pick up chemical pregnancies which can be incorrectly assumed to be false positives.
