my friend conceived the 2nd month after she had her mirena out, had a period the month after, so her fertility evidently returned as soon as it wsa out!

I had a period about 5 days after having my coil removed and my cycle is back to normal (I think!)

I had my first period 6 weeks after removal (having had not one while it was in), but they were nothing like normal for about 2 years after removal (tmi alert! very light and much darker than pre mirena). Every body is different however.

I had the Mirena coil for about a year - had a bit of bleeding straight away and next period was about a month later. I conceived that month which really surprised me because my periods are normally all over the place!

Lots of different experiences there. I guess I will just have to wait and see. Thanx for all of your comments and keep your fingers crossed for me! X
