Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>Kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>'something'</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a <strong>hooya</strong> = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

NFM...large intestine/grim. If I'm not upduffed which I'm pretty sure I'm not (AF due in a few days, crampy, etc) then I'm going to my GP about how much I'm bloated because I look about 4 months pregnant. So uncomfortable all the time Angry.

Roll on cycle 3.

stumblymonkey · 23/02/2016 21:45

Alice...I get that too...I have IBS and can bloat up to about six months pregnant. The only upside is that occasionally someone gives me their seat on the tube!

Massive congrats ill....no doubt about those lines...corkers!!!

Well viroids, I'm just back from my first SW week and -4.5lbs of fat I hope to never see again! Grin

coribeth · 23/02/2016 21:47

Massive congrats ill and last week was my first week at sw so gx I can keep it up and loose the 4 stones I need to! Blush

coribeth · 23/02/2016 21:49

That's amazing stumbly well done you!

NameChange30 · 23/02/2016 22:19

stumbly Well done, that's fantastic! Star

stumblymonkey · 23/02/2016 22:31

Thanks! Very pleased! Hoping to lose enough next week to get my half stone sticker in week two!

Illiria · 23/02/2016 23:55

Thank you all Smile

Stumbly that's awesome, the sw people on here are doing so well.

Canters15 · 24/02/2016 07:44

Ill!!! Congrats!!! This is amazing news. All the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Stumbly- woop well done on the weight loss! Fantastic. And cori too!!

Happy birthday corgi, how are you finding paeds?

I'm off to Malta tomorrow. V excited. Sun! Cocktails! Jizz during fertile window!!

5hell · 24/02/2016 08:55

ooh enjoy malta canters ...we went in 2014 and LOVED it :)
would recommend Mint (organic cafe, sliema, close to beach), and il-merill (traditional maltese), and there's a couple of restaurants down on Tigne point which have super views over to Valetta.

LondonGirl83 · 24/02/2016 10:34

Hey sorry for going MIA. My temp dropped yesterday so I didn't bother with an FRER. AF greeted me this morning so I'm out.

I was really hoping this was my month. We've now been trying for 6 months which a mc and chemical and its all starting to get to me.

I kind of want to get tested even if I have to pay for it but my DH wants to just carry on.

LondonGirl83 · 24/02/2016 10:36

congrats stumbly that's a great result.

NameChange30 · 24/02/2016 11:22

Sorry London Flowers

ScottishLady7 · 24/02/2016 11:59

Well done stumbly- your will power is very impressive Star

Flowers London - Gx for next cycle. I'm feeling positive for us all , I think there will be a JS bfp boom!

NameChange30 · 24/02/2016 12:09

I'm confused about my cycle and would really appreciate it if anyone has thoughts on what might be going on.

My period usually starts in the mornings, with painful cramps and medium/heavy bleeding. I had some light cramping and bleeding yesterday evening, but nothing overnight or this morning. If it wasn't AF it would have been CD32. I don't know when I ovulated (I thought I did at the time but now I think it was later). So I guess it could be implantation bleeding but I really have no idea. I guess I'm just hopeful because AF has never started like this before. If it is AF it would make my last cycle 31 days (previous cycles were 26, 41, 27).

I'm not liking having no clue about what's going on. Now I understand the temptation to resort to contraband!

corgi88 · 24/02/2016 14:31

sorry London Flowers I think the NHS would probably say try for a year, unless you have any risk factors for infertility or are over 35? I know it's rubbish. I'm not sure how much it would cost to go private, I should know more about this!

Name that is very confusing! have you tested??

thanks for the birthday wishes viroids! I went up to Scotland to see my friend, stayed in the cutest cottage and drank lots of whisky. oooh my head the next day!

NFMV: day 31 today. Iced day 23 (positive OPK day 22, then cramping day 23. I don't temp so I don't know if I iced but am going off the cramps.) Due to thrush fairy visiting I only managed to get one shag in on day 21 :( which ovia claims was my peak fertility day...
SO I am off to a hen party this weekend. Friday will be 10dpo but do you think I could test just to see? I know is early but don't want to miss a BFP and drink my way through the weekend!
of course AF will probably rock up before then anyway due to dismal shag effort.

corgi88 · 24/02/2016 14:33

congrats for the weight loss stumbly and cori! good job ladies

Illiria · 24/02/2016 15:14

London I am so sorry, can you look around and see how much it is even just to get your 21 day bloods done?

corgi I got a faint whisper of colour on 10dpo this time, I also drank a shit ton on 5dpo and 9dpo as was convinced if we didn't fall naturally in over 18 months why would we this time.

CB weeks indicator says 2-3 weeks on 14dpo. Think DH believes it now it's spelt out to him Gringoing to stick my head in to the grads on the weekend once I've emailed my obgyn, fear her wrath as she told me to wait two months Hmm

Malta sounds awesome, one of so many places in Europe we want to go to. Didn't think about it when we lived there and had the time off work.

FuzzyOwl · 24/02/2016 17:25

Sorry London Flowers

Well done Stumbly

I hope you have an amazing holiday Canters. I really like Malta.

No idea Name but I got a BFP two days after implantation bleeding, so I would suggest testing to see. Gx

Definitely worth testing Corgi. We had a dismal shag effort this month but I still stupidly have all my hopes up. Congratulations on passing your exam as well. Wine

Hope everything is going well Ill.

5hell · 24/02/2016 17:57

name - any chance it could be breakthrough bleeding? (Which I had this time...essentially a light & slightly odd period before bfp). Have u shagged plenty?!! If af still doesn't properly arrive I'd be tempted to test ...gx

NameChange30 · 24/02/2016 18:59

Thanks all. More light bleeding today so I think it is AF, just weirdly lighter than usual. Definitely the most likely explanation since I now realise I estimated my fertile window completely wrong and sex at the wrong times! (CD9-14, 20 & 27). Also did FRERs on CD26 (WAY too early I know Blush) and 29, both BFN. I suppose if I get no bleeding for the next few days I might POAS again... Just aware that I've already pissed away £10 and it's pretty hopeless at this stage! Next month I'm planning to shag every 2 or 3 days from CD13-25, just to be on the safe side Grin It's that or contraband

NameChange30 · 24/02/2016 19:01

corgi
Sounds like a great birthday weekend!
Well done for passing your exam Star
And definitely FRER on Friday morning if AF hasn't turned up by then, if it's a BFN at least you can do some guilt-free boozing at the hen do!

Ditsy79 · 24/02/2016 19:34

Sorry to hear AF got you london Flowers it gets a bit disheartening month after month.
Go stumbly ! Very impressive. I am not doing SW, but have lost 9lbs so far on a calorie counting thing....only about another million to go before I am technically not overweight.
corgi I would POAFR before the hen-do - gx it's positive, but if not you can drink without feeling guilty.

justtheonethen · 24/02/2016 19:34

Congratulations on exam corgi Star

name I would test, but I'm a mentalist!

ChatEnOeuf · 24/02/2016 20:01

Congrats Corgi! Is this AKT? Well done :)

Sorry London Flowers

Name I'd test if you start feeling queasy in the mornings in the next week or two, but I'm well known around these parts for the red witch's ability to whip away all of my common sense.

Ill - giblets? Grin

NFMV: off to FC/RMC. Ball is rolling, but I feel strangely subdued by it all.

Great weight loss, viroids Stars all round

Tryingtowait · 24/02/2016 20:16

Haven't been on the thread few a week or so and only read this page not caught up! Congrats on the bfps and the weight losses, I really need to pull my finger out with the weight loss thing. Am on holiday from work next week visiting my sister and her new baby so decided I'll have my unhealthy week and back to best behaviour when I get back. Might go sw when I get back what days to people go? Might help motivate me more :)
