Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>Kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>'something'</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a <strong>hooya</strong> = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Kwick that sounds like a lovely day :D

Angel enjoy Rome

Name mine are too after bfing. Lord knows what is going on, I don't, as you can probably tell!

London any news?!

Nfmv: poafrer this morning, bfn. So, either this is AF earlier than expected (cd25) or slightly heavier implantation bleeding and I have tested too early (9dpo I think). So its the massive uncertain wait again now, light bleeding, spotting, no bleeding, spotting again, bfp, big bleed then bfn if its the same as the last couple of times. I'm almost hoping it is, I am certain there's something untoward going on with my uterus and I want the referral so I can find out!

LondonGirl83 · 20/02/2016 13:32

Hey everyone- I couldn't get an FRER! Ordered one from Amazon so should be able to test tomorrow. I did a Clear Blue which was a BFN :(

Temp is still up. Let's see.

FuzzyOwl · 20/02/2016 13:44

How many dpo are you London?

Illiria · 20/02/2016 17:06

Angel totally agree about cat sanctuaries, my favorite two are one in the middle of a roundabout which is also where caesar was supposedly stabbed and one in the Protestant cemetery where Shelley is buried.

Nfmf (news from my face): cat decided to wake me by hitting me with full pouncing whack to my nose. Still hurts two hours later.

Kwick709 · 20/02/2016 21:51

angel enjoy Rome... I love that city!!!

Injections went okay... I think... I feel a bit strange but could just be in my head Confused

Kwick709 · 20/02/2016 21:52

Meant to ask: just did dtd?

Kwick709 · 20/02/2016 21:53

Oops * did you dtd?

AliceScarlett · 20/02/2016 21:59

Sorry Stumbly Sad.

7 days til AF, ugh.

Clearly bullet points only.

Ditsy79 · 21/02/2016 07:14

AF due today, not arrived yet... have resisted the temptation of FRER so far.
Only been to Rome once, years and years ago when I was Inter-Railing - would love to go again and spend a bit more time there.

Kwick709 · 21/02/2016 07:22

Fingers crossed for you ditsy... Major willpower!

LondonGirl83 · 21/02/2016 09:45

Fuzzy yesterday I was 12 days post ovulation.

FuzzyOwl · 21/02/2016 10:24

I love Rome. Well, all of Italy really. It is my favourite country to visit and not just because of the wine, food and ice cream

London definitely not out then if you were only 12dpo with a Clearblue.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am
8dpo and feeling quite tired this morning, which I am interpreting as a sign!

FuzzyOwl · 21/02/2016 16:21

NFMSSDB (symptom spotting deluded brain): I have a spot and the last time I had spots, I was pregnant ignores the vast amount of unhealthy food, alcohol and chocolate I have consumed in the last fortnight

Canters15 · 21/02/2016 16:51

Fuzzy! I don't know whether to gx EVERYTHING for you (which I am doing, obv) or hate you for spots being so out of the ordinary for you that it could be a preg symptom seriously good luck!

London and ditsy. Any news?

This might be a totally inappropriate question to ask here, and if it is I am sorry...but does anyone go through phases when they feel much less fussed about having a baby? I have suddenly developed massively cold feet- I like my life a lot and am scared about that changing. Of course give me a bfp and I'd be overjoyed...but right now I feel kind of OK that it hasn't happened yet. Is this a self preservation thing or am I deluded about being ready? of course give it another two weeks when I am in the 2ww and I will probably be crying on here that I don't think I'm pregnant

NameChange30 · 21/02/2016 16:53

Canters Totally with you on that. We'd been putting off TTC for a long time because we knew we wanted kids but we didn't feel quite ready. Then we got to the point when we figured we're as ready as we'll ever be! Which is mostly wanting a baby but sometimes freaking out!

FuzzyOwl · 21/02/2016 17:00

Canters trust me when I say that I more than had everyone on this fred's share of spots in my teens, twenties and early thirties. It is only fair that they have finally gone away!

I always want to get pregnant and have my baby but there are times when it isn't such a pressing need as others.

Kwick709 · 21/02/2016 18:01

Are any of you viroids doing SW? How many syns would a Dime bar be? I am about to eat 3....

Ditsy79 · 21/02/2016 18:41

I caved and POAFR - BFN but not FMU. I am currently 11dpo (based on OPK) but AF is usually very regular.
Should I do another test tomorrow if still no sign? Am not very hopeful.
canters We often have the thing of not being that fussed about getting pg, particularly if we've had a really nice wkend or something and then think how difficult it would be going back to having a newborn again (we also have a 2 yr old daughter).
Think I'm going to book an appt with the GP, next cycle trying to get pg will be #9, and am 36.

AliceScarlett · 21/02/2016 19:10

I get cold feet every now and again, especially when I'm stressed out and tired and I think "this is nothing compared to having a newborn". Then I freak out a bit about money and how my house is quite small and then I go into wandering if I'll be able to provide it with a secure attachment because I don't have one myself and I'm worried its not innate...and then I go and sit down Blush

justtheonethen · 21/02/2016 19:10

STOP all this early poas you lot. If it's bfn you won't believe it as it is too early to be sure. Wait til at least the day your period is due.

Sorry been a bit absent this weekend, been mega busy, did manage to sneak some shags in though.

I think because we were planning when to start ttc for so long, jobs/house etc should have started earlier in hindsight I feel I'm done with the partying etc. I love my life but I'm ready for the next part. Totally get it though

AliceScarlett · 21/02/2016 19:37

Wondering*

justtheonethen · 21/02/2016 19:38

alice having studied attachment at uni I can assure you it's not innate. You will have a fantastic bond with your baby, just the fact you're worrying about it means you will be a great mum

justtheonethen · 21/02/2016 19:39

kwick how's the injecting going?

Kwick709 · 21/02/2016 19:52

Just so pleased you got some shags in!!!

I did the two injections due today promptly at 7pm. The hard bit actually is making the solution up... it is almost a relief to be ready to inject!

ZylaB · 21/02/2016 20:03

kwick a Daim bar (28g) is 7.5syns, couldn't find dime bar, are they the same thing?
