Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>Kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>'something'</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a <strong>hooya</strong> = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Not breaking picket line - on call saving little lives and making myself and mums cry NICU is all about the emergencies.

Ain626 · 10/02/2016 23:10

I've got 3 pages of stuff to catch up on! Only wasn't online for a day. Haha!

Haven't read anything yet, but you can be my bedtime reading when I get home. Hope all is good in the viroid commune!

P.S. been to see Billy Elliot this evening. Absolutely. Fucking. Fantastic!

KatOnATinRo0f · 10/02/2016 23:15

Hello! I posted on one of your threads a few months ago and then didn't but thought I'd come along for the ride if that's okay? As I'm still not pregnant yet! ha!

my stats:
Kat
28 y/o, DH 38y/o married last year.
TTC1
cycle 7
CD3

using Ovia only to remember what CD i am on and when AF came/left. Bought some OPK strips used them religiously for a few months but didn't make any difference so not sure what ill do this month.

ChatEnOeuf · 11/02/2016 07:23

Welcome back, Kat. Hope it's a short stay!

Kwick709 · 11/02/2016 08:35

Hi kat

angelazul · 11/02/2016 09:08

Hi Kat, I'm on cycle 7 too, just started using opks this cycle so we'll see how it goes

corgi88 · 11/02/2016 13:15

Hi Kat!
Sorry I've been quiet, 4 days on call (for paeds) in a row! Last one today though. I really enjoying it actually Smile
Hugs and gin for just
Nfmv: mid cycle spotting, in fertile window but no positive opk yet. Bit sore and itchy; really hope is not the thrush fairy again!!

Canters15 · 11/02/2016 13:27

Hello Kat! I recognise you from the ttc no 1 thread...I decamped here too cos couldn't keep up with the pace and also there was an improbable number of first month ttc bfps! I'm on cycle 4 now....

I'm going to be totally gross now, but I am having a ton of creamy cm- even more then last month, and as I technically conceived last month I am hoping this is a good sign? I am also really tired but think this is more then likely to be due to the god awful cold. Af due Tuesday....

Sooo, jezzas gonna impose the contract on us. I'm so sad I could cry. Really enjoyed this morning at work, I always said I'd quit if the contract came in but right now I really don't want to. how are other medics feeling? I have an admin afternoon and am going to cry into my paperwork.....

Canters15 · 11/02/2016 13:28

Corgi, can't you just wack a bit of canestan up there, head it off at the pass?

stumblymonkey · 11/02/2016 13:45

Hi Kat!

Sorry to hear about the Govt imposing the contract to the docs/docs in training on the thread Thanks

stumblymonkey · 11/02/2016 13:47

I swear I've had hardly any CM this month...that can't be good surely

AliceScarlett · 11/02/2016 15:36

So angry watching the news about the contract. I work for the NHS, its just, ugh. I think they are trying to wreak it so they have a 'rationale' to privatise.

Stumbly taking any antihistamines or drinking less water this month?

SockQueen · 11/02/2016 18:19

Fucking raging at Jeremy Cunt and the rest of the government (I don't doubt for a second that Cameron's completely in on all of this). Never been more tempted to look abroad, except I can't imagine anyone except the NHS wanting to employ me in August!

One of my friends is doing a helicopter retrieval job in Australia, which sounds totally amazing. She went for a year, but is seriously contemplating not coming back.

Kwick709 · 11/02/2016 19:04

Sorry for medics - never nice being forced to do anything. My grandparents who fought to establish the nhs are turning in their graves at how it is now being pulled apart.

Spoke to nurse at clinic today about raging headache - defo nasal spray related and the good news is I may have to continue to take that for another month!!!!

Am going to have some red meat tonight... Any suggestions?

coribeth · 11/02/2016 19:28

Thoughts with all the medics gutted for you all as a nurse I see first hand how long and hard you guys work agree it's got Cameron written all over it as a rationale for privatisation! Flowers

stumblymonkey · 11/02/2016 19:31

Mmmmm....steak? Though one of my favourites is good old lamb chops...

Alice...no anti-histamines and I never drink water Blush Presumably I should?!

SockQueen · 11/02/2016 19:56

DH is cooking rack of lamb with roasties for me. Sometimes he's pretty awesome.

Kwick709 · 11/02/2016 20:40

sock your dh sounds ace!

I settled on bacon, eggs and green vegetables - it has been 5 months since I ate bacon... It was yummy!!!!

FuzzyOwl · 11/02/2016 21:23

Sorry to all the medics - and all of us, as everyone will suffer because of this.

Hello Kat

I have done so much exercise this week that my lower half doesn't work and FF says my fertile days start tomorrow. I just hope DH isn't looking for any flexibility!

Ain626 · 11/02/2016 22:01

So much for me catching up on the Fred when I got home last night. My eyes were pretty much closed as my head hit the pillow!

Caught up now though.

stumbly will def be your weighing in buddy on here. Was it zyla that said she weighs in on a Monday? I went up a pound this week. My own fault totally as when I was off ill I felt sorry for myself and ate all the chocolate! Hope you did better than me.

just I hope you're feeling okay. What's the nfyv?

Medics I want to give Jeremy hunt a swift punch in the face for you. The guy's a twat! This government are determined to fuck up the nhs! (And education. And everything else for that matter.)

Seeing as we're sharing... nfmd: I had a nice big bowl of chicken salad. It might not sound it, but it was really yummy. Smile

OP posts:
AliceScarlett · 11/02/2016 22:12

I had chicken risotto, but quinoa instead of rice, bangin.

stumbly apparently drinking water is the best way to encourage CM...but there is water in squash, tea, etc!

corgi88 · 11/02/2016 22:31

Jeremy is a massive wankbadger. And that is all I have to say on the subject. canters I will stick it out til I qualify but after that am planning on working max 3 days a week and doing something else with my time. Kids or no kids. And maybe I will go to Australia but that would make my mumma sad :(
Nfmd: dh made some amazing Vietnamese slaw and chicken wings for after my on call. He's a keeper

corgi88 · 11/02/2016 22:32

4 straight days in children's a&e and I have caught ALL the viruses in time for my weekend off! Oh noooooes

KatOnATinRo0f · 11/02/2016 23:51

Canters I thought I recognised you. It's chilled out a bit over there now, you should pop back over. Pretty much everyone apart from me is preggo now so have mainly wandered off to talk about being pregnant somewhere else.

Sorry for all the doctors. What a right Hunt.

KatOnATinRo0f · 11/02/2016 23:53

Angel I've been using OPKs for a few months. Not sure if makes me more happy that I know what's going on, or more stressed.
