Hi just looking for opinions. Basically I'm not actively trying, but not preventing pregnancy either.

Usually I had a 28 day cycle. The first day of my last period was 30th Dec so January's is well overdue. But have had very very light spotting the past 2 days. BFNs yesterday and today.

Went to my GP today and she wasn't helpful...basically told me just to wait for AF to appear.

I cant think why my period hasn't made an appearance yet...i couldn't be pregnant and getting BFNs at this stage, could I?

Just wanted to update for anyone going through similar. I was never able to recreate my strong positive hpt and faint positive the next day. I got to CD62 with no bleeding, but yesterday AF arrived so I'm starting a fresh new cycle. I didn't approach EPU as I knew in my heart I wasn't pregnant no matter how many stories I read online about people getting their BFPs at 6,7,8 weeks.

My advice to anyone going through the same is to put down the hpts, stop googling, see your GP for a blood test and believe them when they tell you the result.

It seems sometimes things can go the other way, and it is good to stay hopeful, but not at the expense of your mental health. If it looks like a BFN, and it feels like a BFN unfortunately more than often it is a BFN.
