For everyone who is entering the madness that is Ttc after stopping the pill. Maybe to start the thread we could all post our stats, so we remember where everyone is at and don't have to check the old thread. X

eggs sounds so familiar! I am going to ask for a fertility referral on my telephone consultation next week. No idea what the wait time is but hoping for bloods and uss whilst i wait and semen sample for my husband so that we ahead of the game when we do get there. Sounds like we both need some clomiphene

cn i am thinking about ditching the sticks too. Going away this weekend and will be glad to have a couple of daya off using them if i am honest.

Some clomid would be wonderful firstgo! I hope your telephone consultation goes well. I also need to get DH along to get his semen checked, but I really hope at least one of us is working! I really hope I'm not waiting forever for an appointment at the fertility clinic!

defo first i feel like my life revolves out poas and temping. im jsut gonna go with the flow dtd as much as i can - and if i dont come on AF when im due to then il test haha! x

sorry about your luck doesnt sound good at all - really do sympathise with you it must be awful - hopefully you get some answers soon keep trying hun it took my friend 2 years just as they were about to go for IVF she conceived! x

eggs just told my oh about getting a semen sample if i have clomid. He didn't seem too phased by that. Says he will do what he needs to.

cn i might just test when i am on nights and wouldn't normally dtd for quite a few days

first ive just decided not to test at all and just go with the flow :) hopefully that might work but will only worry when im a year down the line and havent conceived!

Thanks cn, it has been a tough year. But I started 2016 convinced it was going to happen this year, so I'm going to be positive! My opks have been positive, so I'm taking it at a good sign that it is looking like I'm ovulating! Just to get my cycle length reduced so I can actually be in with a good chance of it happening. My last period was in November!

Ttc#2 (DD born Feb 2015)
Age 33
Stopped taking Micronor on 28/12/15

So, DH and I decided that we would like a sibling for our daughter and so I stopped taking the pill in December. No sign of AF yet though I was using clearblue OPKs in January which showed i ovulated around 13/1. I had a small bleed which lasted an hour or so after DTD with DH on 24/1. Been to see GP today who is going to accelerate my next smear test in case it's something similar but she thought much more likely to be hormonal and connected to stopping the pill.

Other than that, feeling very frustrated about what the heck is going on with my body. Periods went back to normal straight away after stopping Cilest when we conceived my DD, raaaagh.

Sorry the witch got you Shan you've got more determination than me though, dont think I could dtd everyday even if I wanted too!

Think I might be out soon too, had cramps tonight and just had some Ewcm didn't think you were supposed to get that in luteal stage?? Think I will take an Opk tomorrow and see if I'm having a second fertile week... Maybe I didn't ovulate last time? Bloody body is pissing me off!

Ok the pill for over 10 years, combined for most (few different ones) of that but most recently mini pill cerazette.

Stopped taking pill Aug 15
TTC#1
Cycles since then 31, 38, 30, 29,
Currently CD 35, negative test and spotting yesterday so pretty sure AF is on her way.
Been trying for 2 cycles
Started taking 50mg vit B6 for short lutenal phase halfway through my cycle, not sure if it's had any effect as I'm not sure about Ov date this month.
Bought some Angus cactus yesterday so going to start taking this, and up my vit B6 to 100mg, alongside my prenatal vitamin.

Af is seriously heavy !! It's made to think how the pill calmed them down to Bearly anything at all and then without it its bam like a murder scene 😅😅 God hope it doesn't last to long I'm drained with it :( hurry on and get over you witch so I can start baby maken attempt 2 😅

Sorry about AF Shan. But onwards and upwards to next month.. I know what you mean about the pill settling periods, the period pain iv had since coming off the pill is unreal! I can even feel my uterus contracting, paracetamol, codeine and ibruprofen didn't cut it last month... That was why I'd gone on pill originally (I was passing out at school from pain, and waking up in the night crying!!) but I'd forgotten about all of that till I stopped again!

Newgirl, you're not out yet, keeping fingers crossed for you. I might try b6 as my luteal phase has only been 9 days since stopping pill. Have you found its made a difference yet?

Bobo, I got a little bit of ewcm the day before period last month, not sure why.

Welcome lawyer, sounds like you were lucky with sensible post pill cycles last time you stopped pill and a quick pregnancy.. Fingers crossed the same happens this time for you! Have you taken a test yet? If your opks were positive on 13th you would have been due AF on 27th (if you have 14 day luteal phase). Sometimes though you can have a positive opk but not ovulate, your LH rises, your body tries to ovulate and doesn't manage, and you ovulate at a later date. Also some people (me included) can have days and days of positive opks and you usually ovulate after the last one, so you could have ovulated days after that positive opk.

Sunny I'm not sure if it made a difference, as I'm not sure if I ovulated on CD22 or 24. So I'm either 11 or 13DPO, no full period yet but 2 days of spotting now, which would have started on CD10 or 12 - my average lutenal has been 11 days. If I ov'd on the earlier date then it has helped.

Quick question for you all re Angus cactus...my pack says do not take if trying to conceive?! Does everyone's say that?
Those of you using it, how many mg are you taking?

According to Ovia expected either AF or BFP yesterday - got neither. BFN and cramps and dreading a lengthening cycle after the first one was good.
It's such a mind fuck - wanting and not wanting AF.

Newgirl, the research I read said not to take after ovulation as it can increase risk of miscarriage.. That's why it's got the "not to take if TTC" warning, because it affects hormone balance. You should take it from cd1 until OV and then stop.

Welcome sunflower. This thread will be a good place for you. How quickly did your cycles return when you have stopped pill in the past? Some peoples cycles go back to normal immediately, some conceive 1st time they ovulate before 1st period and some can wait up to a year for 1st period post pil.... It affects us all differently so there is a huge range! 1st time I stopped pill it took 300 days to get my 1st period, and this time it took 100 days, and nearly 7 months later it's till really irregular. Hope things settle quickly for you. You will get some good hand holding here in the mean time. I did a cheapie pregnancy test once a fortnight until my 1st AF just in case, didn't want to be one of those people who rock up to the midwife at 12 weeks pregnant cod I didn't know! Lol. X

Ps newgirl... I hope that didnt freak you out if you have been taking it all month, the risk is hypothetical and very small.... It's just they have to say that as a warning! Same as everything cos it's not ethical to test on pregnant women :) x

Hi sunny, thanks for the info. That makes sense, I've literally only just bought it so just wanted to know what the best thing to do was.

The witch AF is definitely here now!! My temps are still pretty high which is a bit confusing. Was feeling so down on Thursday/Friday when my spotting started, but got to snap myself out of it now. New cycle, new opportunity!
Going to concentrate on being as healthy as possible this month. I've downloaded the drink aware app to encourage me to cut down on the wine and going to get back into exercise which Ovia keeps telling me is important for fertility throughout the cycle (thanks for the hint Ovia!).
I've put on nearly 2 stone since getting married 8 months ago , I'm not overweight but I'm sure it will all help, plus I just feel like a big fat slug at the mo!!

I stopped taking Microgynon in sept 15.
Cycle 1 - 28 days
Cycle 2 - 29 days
Cycle 3 - 56 days

We're just starting our journey into TTC and am 7 days into this cycle. I was charting and OPKs during cycle one and two and thought it all looked normal. Then I thought I wouldn't bother for my last cycle and it went on forever! It's crazy because technically we've not ever really TTC but I'm obsessing now. I wish I could take a patience supplement! 😂

Sunny - yep I've taken about 6 pregnancy tests (all bfn) as I read that bleeding after sex was common in early pregnancy! Shouldn't have got my hopes up for such a smooth transition after the pill!!

Ive got the clearblue ovulation monitor and have no idea when to start it this "cycle" given that I haven't really had a period - just that one bleed that literally only lasted an hour. Any suggestions ladies? Xx

So I did a frer and Opk this morning - bfn (no surprise there) and quite dark line on Opk! Not positive yet but I took another at 1pm and good line again. Guess I will have to keep testing and wait for a positive and hopefully this time my ovary will have the decency to release an actual egg!

Nosey question, can I see you've taped your OPK's into a notebook there? If so that's such a great idea!! I don't know why I haven't thought to do this, I just chuck mine in the bin and then try to remember how it compares to the previous month!

Hi everyone! Bobo your OPKs look great. It looks like your peak could come very soon! I've been doing my CB digis most of the week and have finally seen my wee smiley friend today! He's flashing so I've not hit my peak, but it's reassuring that my fertile window is finally here and a full week earlier than my ov last month! So maybe the b6 has actually helped a little. For once ovia is actually correct too as it predicted my fertile window would start today. I'm chuffed! Xx

Ps new girl, my Agnus says that too! I just take it until I ov then stop! I also take the full 100mg of b6 and have had no side effects whatsoever! Also loving the idea of sticking the OPKs into an old notebook new girl. Would just need to make sure I don't pick up the wrong notebook to take to work tho haha xx

Newgirl- yeh I stick them all in with the times written next to them. It used to be my wedding planning book and now it's my secret pissy stick book cycle 1 has taken up a whole page already!
