Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

I'm going to speak to dh tonight. I think that while we probably won't go to France any sooner, neither one of us would want to tie us here longer. I don't like my current job, but I can suck it up knowing we're going to France.

Thanks for letting me sound off on that and giving me some ideas Smile I know it's OT. it's unfortunate timing for the job ad when I've just landed on cd1 and could call a halt. But I want dc3 more than I want a new job if in being honest. It's just annoying teaching jobs mean committing so far in advance!

Mileymoocow · 28/01/2016 14:40

Um, confused, not to get your hopes up but I had the same. Also lots of af cramps.

impy sorry to hear about your ds. Hope he gets answers soon Flowers I definitely agree - life is too short for what ifs

ImpYCelyn · 28/01/2016 14:49

Miley, sorry, that's what he was like back then. This time last year my mum offered us the money to have him seen privately - what a fantastic thing that was! The paediatrician was like Hmm but it's obviously this which is doing it.... And he started treatment and we haven't looked back. He had some side issues as well, but since surgery in October he's basically unrecognisable Grin (not because he had plastic surgery you understand Wink) So really just treating his asthma now. Which is the other reason we felt able to decide to go. It was scary at the time though, and last winter was rough. My mum's a right pain sometimes, but I'm so so grateful for that. She did the same thing for my eldest a few weeks ago for a different condition, same paed, who said "fgs I wish the nhs would stop saying this doesn't need treating under 8" and now he's on the mend too. It does make me angry though that you have to pay for it. If I had my time again I'd have got private health for them the second they were born! (I love the nhs, but they've dropped the ball a few times with my two).

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 14:54

Hi harriet we're testing buddies I haven't forgot! I'm not holding out much hope either although I am exhausted like falling asleep at inappropriate times tired

ElleSarcasmo · 28/01/2016 14:55

Ctulhoo I hope that it does work out like that! If not we will keep your spirits up and keep you distracted. At the current rate that will be about 10 threads between now and then! They have certainly cheered me up when feeling gloomy, hope they can cheer you up too Flowers

LisaTheGreek · 28/01/2016 15:07

Feefs - when are you due to test?

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 15:16

OVIA says 31st but I'm waiting till AF due so the 2nd or 3rd but going to hold out until the 3rd if I can lisathegreek. But honestly this is the most tired I've ever been and I'm sleeping well at night. Debating with myself getting a taxi home from work as don't think I can face the wall to the station! The walk I do twice a day every single day!

LisaTheGreek · 28/01/2016 15:18

Oh no! That sounds really shitty - have you had that before? Or you think it's new and a symptom?

FF is saying I should test on 31st, but don't know if I'll hold out. I just want to know now, even if it's a BFN so I can start thinking about next month.

Kathrino · 28/01/2016 15:24

After a couple of days of mild but constant cramps, I had one biggish cramp last night for a couple of minutes (right in the middle of cooking dinner which was helpful) and then nothing at all today. Surely implantation doesn't happen like that?! Can't help feeling that I'm almost certainly out this month and it's just a case of the long wait for AF to appear now.

Confusedcat1 · 28/01/2016 15:26

miley don't say that 😂😂

I am refusing to test again until her royal highness the Princess of pregnancy tests Starky grants her royal permission!

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 15:29

I did loads of early tests last month lisa and I don't think it helped I thought it might desensitise me for the BFN but in reality it was just a disappointing start to every day! So this month trusting in the advice of oh wise one starky and waiting till AF. The tiredness isn't normal for me I have days where I'm knackered but I usually sleep badly this month i have been getting a solid 8-12 hours(only 12 at weekends!) every night most nights without waking up. I'm really struggling with concentration too, my moods been a bit low so I suppose it could be that

latinata · 28/01/2016 15:29

Feefs and harriet- glad to be testing buddies!

I have been feeling completely exhausted (like I'm hungover) in the mornings for the last few days too, and although impossible for it to be a sign of anything as it's too early, it's making my brain spin.

Most likely answer is chronic alcohol withdrawal!! Oh wine, I miss you.

FXSkip · 28/01/2016 15:30

Impy sounds like you've worked it out - its tough when opportunities come along and screw with your plans!! France sounds like it will do your family a world of good. My mum moved out there 10 years ago with a chronic illness and although she still has low periods, she never regrets the fresh air, beautiful countryside and fresh, local produce. I would love to move there, OH has a house in rural Greece that is beautiful and he wants to move there, but we are stuck in a city because of our non-vocational work!!

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 15:36

latinata we'll be strong together and resist the urge to test! It maybe is a bit of a hangover type feeling! A bit fuzzy headed I suppose and its not due to caffeine I cut hat back before I stopped the pill

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 15:40

Actually thinking about it last month I had had really bad insomnia around this time which I thought was a symptom! But was probably not far off my normal pattern

Oh god I'm symptom spotting now !

FXSkip · 28/01/2016 15:43

Latinata it actually could be - my friend says she has lots of women coming to her (GP) with headaches, anxiety, insomnia - all alcohol withdrawal symptoms - because they were regularly drinking a couple of glasses of wine each evening (6+ units) and then gave up for Dry-January

latinata · 28/01/2016 15:46

I love that if you Google any symptom you find an article which starts "many people feel X in early pregnancy" and ends with "zero scientific evidence of a link to pregnancy"...

Impy, I think you have to go with your instincts. It sounds rather as though you are absolutely in love with France. Then we can share overseas war stories, like the fact I just spent about £50 on preggo tests!!

ImpYCelyn · 28/01/2016 16:02

Latinata yep, pretty much Smile ouch, I sympathise! I had to buy neurofen in France at Christmas - only available in proper pharmacies- €5 just for flipping neurofen! Where are you living?

Mileymoocow · 28/01/2016 16:14

Well guys after fretting all day that those IC'S were dodgy, I managed to pick up an frer from boots and now I actually believe that I'm preggo!

Thread 8, TTC #1. Change my FW one more time Ovia, I dare you! TMI Warning throughout.
IndiX · 28/01/2016 16:16

Yay Miley!!! you are definitely preggo, congratulations ThanksThanksThanks

Feefeefs · 28/01/2016 16:16

That's a lovely line miley!

FXSkip · 28/01/2016 16:17

Also, for anyone interested I have been reading up on LH - apparently your body releases LH immediately after your AF finishes in order to stimulate the 'ripening' of the egg, CD 7 - 11. Then you get the surge which tells the egg to get its act together, mature and bust out of the follicle. Conflicting info on rates of successful pregnancy around day of Ov, but most agree that an unfertilised egg dies within 24hrs. So, my guess would be that we get those faint lines immediately after AF, but then they should stop completely if unfertilised.

FXSkip · 28/01/2016 16:21

Congrats Miley I am so happy for you - big fat finger to everyone that said you were too young, you are going to be an amazing mum GrinGrinGrin

Mileymoocow · 28/01/2016 16:35

Thank you so much fx and feef. I can change oviabitch to the pregnancy version now. So long, cow. I'm so anxious that everything going well i'll have a little human that's calling me mummy not exactly in 9 months but you know what I mean. Unless I give birth to a genius

It's so surreal.

So! Who's resting tomorrow!

Confusedcat1 · 28/01/2016 16:36

Yay miley lovely line! But please don't leave us!
