Sorry in advance, this is convoluted
I have a coil but would love to be pregnant. Due AF this weekend but on Tuesday noticed i had a few vascular marks which i have had when pregnant (and are assoc with high oetrogen levels ) had returned.
So idid a preg test-negative.
Felt pmt wed, thurs, v tired , cold and then last night had some bleeding but brown and light and has stopped now.Thought was my period, but my period normally heavy and fresh red.Just found preg test from tues and faintly positive.Just rushed out to buy another and is probably negative (but can almost persuade myself there is a vvvv faint positive.
Please give me your advice, ?chemical pregnancy ?implantation bleed.
I would so love to be pregnant this would be the best chrismas present ever

ummm.... it does sound like it (implantation bleed), but I don't like to get your hopes up. Best thing is to pop to GP I guess - would a coil have any effect on a pregnancy?

sorry, MN went abit funny then.

Yes I know I mustn't get my hopes up as it is all so unlikely and also not so good to be pregnant with a coil in.
i'm not sure whether they leave it in .
I can still feel the threads so it's there.
I'll try and restrain myself, it's so easy to get addicted to doing preg tests every day

firstly, a pregnancy test result is only accurate for 10 minutes, so the "faintly positive@" result you saw on a test you'd done on Tuesday was not likely to have been accurate.

High estrogen levels can cause pre-af spotting so it's possible your estrogen levels are just raised and that's what's caused the bleeding.

I would wait another week and do another test if your period hasn't come by then but try not to get your hopes up, esp as you have a coil

why don't you get the coil removed hun, if you want to be PG? To be honest, id get it removed as a precaution incase you are (unless they are ok left in - i know nothing about coils) then GP can maybe take a blood test at the same time.

that all makes loads of sense and i will calm down.
thanks
