Keeping DTD enjoyable

I've seen quite a few posts about sex becoming businesslike whilst ttc. We've only just started trying and DH already felt a bit like he had to perform on demand. I was like Get with the programme

I have though bought a new slinky black nighty thing (Rosie HW for M&S), bought some, ahem, handcuffs and we've watched a bit of porn together to get in the mood, which we would never normally do.

Are there things you and your partners do to keep things fresh?

We don't do anything special. We have been ttc for about five months and to be honest with you it has started to become a little monotonous. I have had the same thoughts as you. However, ovulation time usually happens when we are both really busy with work and it can be tiring enough trying to find the energy.

Sorry, that really wasn't helpful! Also, my OH said the same thing as yours in the beginning but now he's gotten used to it so yours may be the same. I think the main thing is to always show that your enjoying yourself, it usually helps mine get into it.

Yes, demonstrating that I'm actually enthusiastic rather than "just get it over with already" is key!

The one thing that always ensured dh was up for the task was telling him that my fertile window was last week and that I just felt like jumping on him. Keeping the sex about sex for dh always made it easier. He didn't even really realise we were doing the SMEP plan last time.

Watching for tips! I thought it would be better for dh not to know about fw so he didn't feel the pressure ... but yesterday he told me he would rather know, I'm still not convinced on that one!
I think next cycle I'm going to focus more on me, ie lots of pampering and generally preening my body (yes way too slack on this normally, hello hairy winter legs), which will make me feel more sexy. Haha
