Hi!
I need some tww buddies!
I think I ovulate around a weekago so I have one more week until AF is due! (Used preseed this month)
I'm not crazy into symptom spotting but I'm pretty sure something's going on. I feel like I'm getting a cold and have been having cramps and nausea!

I'm next Friday/Saturday stumbly. Time seems to have stood still!

Faye, definitely test in the morning!

BloomingR0sey · 22/01/2016 19:57

I hate wishing away time! But my god time can't go any slower 😂

stumblymonkey · 22/01/2016 20:45

No headaches for me....I've been pregnant before though and know that isn't a symptom I get. I know that other people do though....

Faye12345 · 23/01/2016 09:25

I went and got drunk last nightGrin

AliceScarlett · 23/01/2016 10:18

Thursday for me too! But I'm not testing til Saturday, if no AF by then of course.

SuchaJem · 23/01/2016 11:53

Stumblymonkey and bloomingrosey my AF is due Thursday too /highfive

My inlaws have invited themselves down though as its my husbands birthdays next weekend... Might try and wait until Sunday to test when it's just the two of us.

Arrrrggggghhhhhh the waiting!! Confused

SuchaJem · 23/01/2016 11:54

With you jomalones on time standing still. This is the first time we've tried ever and I had no appreciation before how long it was between shag and test!

Theaks · 23/01/2016 12:25

Hey there I'm nearing the end of 2ww due on Wednesday! Getting lots of aching pains and just had a painful stabbing pain at the right side. I'm not holding out much hope because of these rubbish pains! Got to try and stay positive!

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 23/01/2016 12:34

Hi Ladies, I'll join if that's ok? I'm due AF next Friday so will test on Saturday as well. This is our 22nd cycle (mmc summer 2014) but I know I ovulated on 15th because I had an internal ultrasound and the was a 20mm egg just about to pop off the ovary.

Theaks · 23/01/2016 17:44

Hi greater, can I ask you something about your MMC. It's okay if you don't want to say. I had a MMC August 2015, previous natural December 2014. I have had several tests following my MMC because I still get evil pains in my pelvic area. I'm due my period on Wednesday and getting horrible pains today! Did you suffer any extended pain? I'm not sure whether to go back but I'm fed up of being prodded!

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 23/01/2016 18:02

No problem Theaks I don't get any more pain than before to be honest, it's always been pretty horrendous though, will definitely be getting another mirena once we're successful though, no periods and no pain!

JoMalones · 23/01/2016 18:08

Faye I did too! Think that was the reason for my headache!

I thought f** it and rested even though 8dponand unsurprisingly bfn but it did scratch an itch at least!

BloomingR0sey · 23/01/2016 22:30

Hi all, anyone having anymore or changed symptoms the closer we get?
I'm STILL having cramps and today have had quite a lot of weird stringy CM (sorry tmi)

Theaks · 23/01/2016 22:57

I'm 10dpo just getting on and off cramping! Which I'm not liking very much! Yesterday I had a little pink tinged- but only once!

SuchaJem · 24/01/2016 00:14

bloomingrosey the only other thing that's happened with me is my gum bled when I brushed my teeth last night - which hasn't happened in years. I also had to go to bed for a nap this afternoon which is unusual - but we had been out for a loooooooooong walk so could just be that.

stumblymonkey · 24/01/2016 09:29

A little bit of cramping, still bloated like an over excited puffer fish, occasionally queasy...I think it's not a pregnancy for me though. We slipped up contraception wise in November around my ovulation date and I was convinced I was pregnant and wasn't Sad

SuchaJem · 24/01/2016 10:45

How are your 2wws going?

Am 10dpo today and have woken up with stomach cramps. This is unusual for me - usually period pain starts the day before AF and is always in my lower back.

I'm tempted to do an early indicator test. Is anyone else testing yet?

JoMalones · 24/01/2016 11:33

Jem, I'm 9dpo and tested. With all 3 other pregnancies I got a bfp at 9dpo so think I'm out as was definitely a bfn

SuchaJem · 24/01/2016 12:14

Sorry to hear that Jo Sad I hope AF doesn't turn up and proves the test wrong.

Celen · 24/01/2016 12:57

Hello, may I join? Am ov-ing this weekend so my 2ww starts tomorrow...yes yes to time standing still Angry ! I'm on my gazillionth cycle and had an MC (Nov 14) and mmc (Sept 15).

I went a bit nuts last month with the testing too early last month so need to calm the hell down this time Blush

Anyway hello

latinata · 24/01/2016 13:11

Hello! Would also like to join! TTC #1, cycle #1. Had a positive OPK yesterday and so continuing with the DTD project for two more days then a rest! Does anyone do anything particularly different in the 2ww? As you wouldn't be sharing the blood supply with the embryo yet do you all avoid the same things you would if pregnant (alcohol, caffeine, heavy lifting...) or do you try to avoid going nuts for months of ttc when not actually preggo?!

I have a question I wonder whether someone might be able to help with. Last cycle we were still using contraception but I randomly did an OPK test when I had a lot of EWCM, just out of interest, and it was positive. AF turned up 10 days later. I have read that the luteal phase doesn't change very much, so although my cycles are still messed up post-pill (having stopped in May!!) do people think that I should count 10 days after my positive OPK yesterday to test? Or should I wait until the full 14 days if no AF shows up? Have just got the cheapy amazon pregnancy tests.... Thank you!

Celen · 24/01/2016 13:34

JoMalones don't say that, 9dpo is very early still. With my scond pregnancy, I didn't get a positive until 13dpo. With my third it came up at 10dpo so it can vary. PS - good call on the "positive opk for 3 days" thread Grin

I read this about implantation and will try to keep in mind it's not over til the red witch bitch hits!:-

Timing of Implantation
A pregnancy test detects the presence of the pregnancy hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) either in the blood or in the urine. The hCG in the urine comes from the hCG in the blood after it was filtered through the kidney. After ovulation, the egg gets fertilized and travels through the fallopian tube toward the uterus. This travel takes an average of a week. Implantation, the attachment of the fertilized egg in the lining of the uterus, occurs on average about a week or later after ovulation/fertilization, but it can happen as early as six days and as late as 12 days after fertilization/ovulation. At the time of implantation the placenta starts making the pregnancy hormone hCG, which then enters the blood stream. How early pregnancy can be detected depends on the pregnancy hormone hcG which can be detected in the blood about three to four days after implantation. Urine hCG can be detected about two to three days after blood hCG can first be seen. Detection of hCG depends on timing of implantation, so hCG can normally be detected in the blood between nine and 16 days after ovulation (HPT: 12-19 days after ovulation).

So, to sum things up, some women may not experience implantation bleeding (if they experience it) until 12DPO. After that, the HCG hormone detected in early pregnancy tests wouldn't be able to be detected for another 5 days or so. This means that some women wouldn't get their BFP until 19DPO.
