Hi all!

Hope this is the right room for this.

I'm 10dpo and took a frer this morning. I've had indents on frers before, lines without color that I have to angle in a certain way under the light to even see!

I checked today's test as developing and no indent present. At 3mins a faint but visible line appeared ( I didn't have to angle it in a funny way to see it!) and I think it has a pink tinge but hard to tell...

Do you think this is another indent? Would be great to get a second opinion!

I admit I couldn't see anything on the others, but I can definitely see one on your latest photo!

Aw this thread makes me miss the excitement of taking the pregnancy test. I wish I had got the line ones and scrutinised them !

AmyC86 · 20/01/2016 22:13

Definitely on the second test! Congratulations!

cally0 · 21/01/2016 08:12

Here's today's frer! Did a digital but said 'not pregnant'?

I'm only 12dpo so perhaps I need to wait a few more days

Thanks to you all for the lovely messages xx

Just shows how low the sensitivity on the digital test is! That's a very very clear positive! And lines getting darker everyday! X

Walkinglikeazombie · 21/01/2016 08:18

I'm rubbish at spotting that second line (for that reason I only did digital tests with both pregnancies 😊) but can definitely see the line on this last one!
Congratulations to both you and your DP! Flowers

Bugmuncher · 21/01/2016 08:30

There's no denying that line! Congratulations!!

Whatdoidohelp · 21/01/2016 09:19

A digital has a higher hcg requirement to give a positive result. You'll prob get it tomo based on that FRER! Congrats Grin

Upthenoonoo · 21/01/2016 09:25

Ah there's a definite line there! I kept doing test after test just for it to sink in when I was pg with Dd. Good luck for a smooth pregnancy. Have you told dh now? Thanks

cally0 · 21/01/2016 10:27

Yes I told him! He is wondering whether the lines are too faint to be a true positive! HmmI think he believes it deep down but is trying not get too excited in case anything goes wrong! He is a pessimist!

So I'm off to the docs today armed with my frer! I'm scared excited. Grin

That's a definite 2nd line! Don't forget, you can't get a false positive!! Congratulations once again.

P.s make sure that when you take the digital test you post it so we can all congratulate you again!

cally0 · 21/01/2016 16:45

Just seen a doc and took my frer, and she said that I'm a bit early to detect pregnancy as I'm not even 'late' yet and that its rare to get a positive before u miss your period??

She said sometimes if you leave tests they get pinker and that I should test again as may not be pregnant?!

But I saw the line and took a photo of it and was pink already??

Nah she's talking bollocks. I had a positive frer 7 days before period due. Now 8+4 and seen it on scan and everything so I know there's something there.

A line is a line. But test again tomorrow if you're unsure Smile

5minutestobed · 21/01/2016 16:47

Maybe the Dr was just being over cautious as its so early? Going by that last pic you are definitely pregnant! Maybe wait until you are late and try a digital?

Wardrobespierre · 21/01/2016 17:01

The GP was cack handed but has a point. It's now believed that up to half of all cycles in women who are ttc result in chemical pregnancies. We only know how common they are because of early testing and very sensitive tests.

Realistically, there's a reason why midwives won't see you until you're 8 weeks. I hate to think of it that way but chemical pregnancies and early losses are common enough that you can't really comment on or act on the viability of a pregnancy until later. The GP will not do anything, in fact in most places there's no point even seeing a GP and they can't treat you as pregnant until you're past a certain point.

I know that's miserable and you've gone from excited to deflated today but it is NOT a reflection on your pregnancy. Those lines are there. You're producing hcg. In another month or so you can get the ball rolling with antenatal care but the thing with very early testing is that you accept it for the tentative, fragile thing it is. The mix of pos and neg tests, the disbelief, the worry about how faint the line is? It's a trade off for having such sensitive tests readily available.

I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Don't let the GP completely detract from your joy. You are pregnant right now. Have faith in that.

thqat last one is pretty strong positive... the digital tests are crap. ok to use when your a few days or so late just so you can see the words.

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 22/01/2016 19:46

Congratulations. Back on the ttc train after a few months off and these posts give me hope!

cally0 · 23/01/2016 14:36

Finally got 'pregnant' on a digi!

Today was the day my period was due. Frer line is definitely bright pink and the digi has worked!

Angelmiracle · 13/06/2018 14:40

I can see it many so congratulations 💐😁

Rememberallball · 13/06/2018 14:57

@lookingforhelpsh, be wary of breaking open test cartridges as it’s not advised to as it can invalidate the test and give a false reading.
