Age 40: sterilisation reversal or IVF - what would you do?

Just turned 40. Got one 18 month old son. He has two lovely half siblings. For a bunch of reasons I had my tubes tied last Spring. Of course I now want another baby. Just prior to this I was very fertile.

Would you try a reversal first, or would you go straight to IVF?

I am a total arse to be in this position I know!! But would love your reactions...
