Could I be pregnant?

Sorry guys I'm new to mums net but thought this would be the best place to ask. So I'm 21, and been on microgynon for a year. Decided I wanted to come off it so on my last pack, I took it pretty badly, not every day and only for two weeks. I then had a period, and two days later had unprotected sex. This was 9 days ago now, and I've just woken up and vomited Hmm I know it would be too early to have symptoms if I had conceived but I've been getting the odd weird little twitch thing in my uterus area and a cramp here or there. I've been sleeping way more than I usually do but again it would be too early for that. Just want anyone's past experiences to know if I could be? It would really make me happy if I was :) I just thought I'd add that I had sex once when I was 16 and became pregnant, due to problems at home had to terminate which is a regret in some ways but would really love to give it a go. Thanks guys x

Oh dear. Daisy, start your own thread. Don't paste onto the back of someone else's. You'll get better responses that way.

Also post this on the conception board rather than pregnancy.

I think everyone is being a little too harsh with the "sick of Am I pregnant posts in the pregnancy topic". If you're new here, like I was, it's not always clear where you should post. If you don't want to read or join the discussion then don't. There is no need for unkind comments for someone who made a mistake posting in the wrong topic and just wants some advice!

Hear hear!

I think it's more the 'naivety' of asking the question on a message board in the first place. If you've had unprotected sex, of course you could be pregnant. Only a test will be able to say if you are or not. We're not a bunch of Mystic Megs.

becciilouisex · 06/01/2016 23:14

I'm not saying anyone is. Of course a test is the only sure fire way to know but if you really want to be pregnant it's only natural to be noticing or imaging symptoms for some people. If you don't feel you can help in any way, which a lot of people couldn't I understand because again a BFP is the only true indicator, just ignore the post and let her get on with it :)

This. You can Google pregnancy symptoms until the cows come home, most of these symptoms are listed on t'internet. It doesn't mean you're pregnant until a test says so. How awful would it be if everyone said "Oh, yes, definitely, that happened to me!" and the poster wasn't pregnant, or had a chemical pregnancy? Do they want false hope?

Now it seems the more the pregnancy board goes "enough!" the more women we get asking. Now with added baby emojis Hmm

maybebabybee · 08/01/2016 10:34

girls if your period has come then no obviously you are not pregnant...

becciilouisex · 08/01/2016 13:32

No one should be giving false hope, of course no one knows for sure until they have a BFP. My point was, the way that some people were reacting to this was a little harsh considering I think this girl posted here because she thought this was the correct place. It's easy to say, "wait until you take a test and get a BFP" and of course that is the ONLY way you will know but when you're TTC and you're desperate and excited and having to wait weeks before you can take a test, it's only natural to be symptom spotting and some people post for advice. If they want to post let them. If they are posting they are normally posting because they're not sure whether or not a symptom they're having can be a pregnancy symptom or they're confused about what they're experiencing and USUALLY they're aware that no one can give them an answer. If they're not then that is their naivety but it's still no reason for any harsh comments and that was my point. I totally agree that anyone believing they can get an ANSWER from asking people about their symptoms is totally naive. :)

becciilouisex · 08/01/2016 13:34

And no GirlsWannaHaveFun if you have gotten your period, even if it is early, there is no way you're pregnant. Unless you experience light bleeding/brown spotting and nothing else. In that case wait until 14th and take a test. If you'd like to ask anymore questions about TTC there is a separate topic for this :) x

Actually I think you'll find the best way to say you had unprotected sex is to say 'we had unprotected sex'.

Mommybear31 · 08/01/2016 13:45

when i said baby dance .its a polite way to say we had unprotected sex i went to doc today they told me to wait another few days as my hgc could be low like last pregnancey took me 3 weeks after period missed . anyways ill fin a chat room that talks about these things ... as i did think it was this one as im new to this app

Raxacoricofallapatorius · 08/01/2016 13:48

The correct medical term is "conjugal nastiness".

Raxacoricofallapatorius · 08/01/2016 13:52

Mommybear, the conception topic on here is the place to talk about conception. You can say sex on here. It's not impolite. Baby dance is twee and the involuntary cringe which follows its utterance makes people's vaginas spontaneously turn inside out.

Mine may actually have risen up and engulfed me to the level of my head.

I think my unborn daughter is in danger of falling out.

CityMole · 08/01/2016 15:05

I don't mind the term 'babydance'. I mean, obviously it made me a little bit sick in my mouth, but it's only a silly word and the poster maybe doesn't like saying 'fucking' or 'had sex'. What I mind a lot more is that is seems there are grown women who think that having a period might be a sign of pregnancy. Shock

sepa · 08/01/2016 16:19

If you have to say something then like Shelly from the Big Bang Theory it should be coitus Grin
