2dpo anyone else in the 2ww

As the title says really, I'm 2 dpo and wondering if anyone one else wants to join me in the 2ww

I'm ttc #2 moving into the 4th month of ttc
I have a DD who is 15 month
Ovulated NYE and plan on testing on mine and OH anniversary (if I don't give in to temptation lol) which is 22/1/16 coincidentally the day before my birthday aswell.

I'm in my tww and quite new to forums but these 2 weeks feel like the longest ever, driving me round the bend.

I'm trying for baby number 2, have one ds who's 16 months, have had 7 mcs so making babies is a bit of a rocky ride... I'm 11dpo, af due Thursday/Friday this week, so a bit further along... Have tests lurking in kitchen drawer calling my name every morning but doing my best to resist... He he...

I'm on the tww, af due on Sunday. I am now getting upset because i haven't had any preg related symptoms yet. (Crazy woman, I know).

On cycle 5 and starting to get very impatient and think that it's never going to happen.

Hi Miss D, so sorry about the MC's I've only had one and that was hard I really couldn't imagine having 7 Sad. Hard to resist the temptation ain't it when you have loads of tests lying round the house Trust me I know haha. Here's hoping af stays away and you get your bfp and that it's a sticky bean. Zoe don't be disheartened by the lack of symptoms with my DD I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 10 weeks as I had zero symptoms and still got my period that I was supposed to miss to indicate pregnancy. In fact I had periods with my daughter and my MC so af turning up for me still isn't the end as there a chance I would still be pregnant. Good luck Zoe here's hoping af stays away. By the way how many dpo are you?

Zoe, I really don't get any symptoms till right when af is due, so stay positive! Sometimes I get real bloating earlier on, but had that last month and was convinced was pg but wasn't, just super greedy on run up to Christmas Hmm

Andysgirl, so sorry for your loss too, sounds ridiculous but the first one is the hardest... So common though, the more people I speak to the more I realise I'm not that unusual...

Miss have you had any tests done to determine why it keeps happening. I was browsing in a magazine last week and come across a woman who had multiple MC and all it took for her to conceive and stay pregnant was folic acid and a baby aspirin every day apparently studies show aspirin helps in sustaining a pregnancy but I'm not sure why. I think it's anything up to 82mg of aspirin everyday

Thank you Andys girl, that makes me feel better Smile. I am about six days past ovulation. Fingers crossed, I really can't deal with this anxiety every month...I'll get nothing done!!

Sorry to hear that you have both experienced MC's, can't imagine the strain it must have put upon you Sad.

Hopefully we'll all get bfp's this month. Smile.

Zoe I think once the egg implants then the pregnancy symptoms come about and implantation can happen from days 6-12 so maybe you have implanted yet and that's why there's no symptoms.

I've had every test under the sun... No real explanation from nhs docs... Baby aspirin won't help me but I'm in high dose folic acid, and normally progesterone after a bfp... Went to an acupuncturist after my 6th loss, and he stated categorically that I had so much inflammation around my reproductive organs due to a back injury that it's no surprise I can't sustain a pg. he treated me for 3 months then told me to try again, and it worked, I had my little boy! Tried ttc again earlier last year without the needles and had early mc, so have gone back to my Chinese man for a few more weeks treatment, and keeping everything crossed now! Sorry for the essay! X

You have inflammation but aspirin is an anti inflammatory which I'm guessing that's why they work in helping sustain a pregnancy. Sounds like your Chinese man is the go to guy for conceiving but if it worked last time then I'd keep at it

Hmmm I've asked my consultant a number of times and he's certain it's useful in many j stances but that my issues wouldn't be affected it... That said he doesn't seem too sure what my issues are! Through this process I've lost a lot of trust in the nhs, even though I know we are lucky to have them... But I've had so many conflicting bits of info and advice you really don't know if you're coming or going!

I was going to take the aspirin anyway but consultant said not to and that in some instances it can be more harmful than good... Arrgghhh

Thank Miss D for your message (sorry, just saw it). I think that I am reading too many pages about symptoms before af arrives..must stop until/unless something significant happens!

Thanks Andysgirl - as ridiculous as it sounds, I do hope that I start being sick or something soon!

Have you got the option to go private? The NHS aren't always at their best I found that out when ttc my daughter when one doctor says something different than what the other says. I'm not sure how aspirin could do more harm I was on it all the way through the pregnancy with my DD because I was at risk of pre eclampsia the only thing the NHS didn't tell me was I had to stop taking it a few weeks before due date as it thins the blood so I could have bled everywhere I had to find out of my mum otherwise I would have still took it up until having her

Zoe nausea/sickness won't really kick in until the 5-6th week maybe later but here's hoping your different and it starts early for you haha. Me and OH was saying yesterday that we would like twins then we don't have to have anymore lol I'm a twin and there is about 7 sets on my side but none on his. My last 2 birthdays I found out I was pregnant so I'm hoping this year is the same so here's hoping on the 23Rd I'm preggers he he Grin

Miss D that is amazing re the acupuncturist. I have heard lots of amazing stories so fingers crossed for you that it works this time!!

I can also sympathise with your frustrations about the nhs. I am in the same boat re a condition that I have - never seem to get comprehensive answers from them and can never get an appointment with the specialist!

Andysgirl - what is the dosage of the aspirin? If I haven't conceived this time, I think I'll try taking some every day.

Do either of you use ovulation kits? If so, which ones?

Between 70-82mg. I use ovulation tests I just get the strip ones by one step from amazon I think i pay something like £4 for 30 they are just as good as any others I got my positive on NYE then dtd early hours new years day morning when oh got back from work

Never done an ov kit but find that dtd every other day is pretty reliable.., sperm lasts for a few days so you're keeping a nice amount swimming around your egg at the ready lol Grin

I think sperm live for 5 days but it is a bit hit and miss as the fallopian tubes select the best sperm so if none are good enough when we ovulate then we ain't going to get pregnant which is a bummer lol

Ooh I think that I'll start taking aspirin then but make sure to stop before due date! Ah didn't realise no sickness in the tww. Gutted! Haha!

My OH wants twins for the same reason but I don't because a) don't think I could cope and b) I want to be able to go through the baby making process again (not sure why when it's making me miserable ATM but hey ho).

Miss D you are lucky, there's not a chance on earth that I could get my OH to DTD every other day - I wish haha!

I bought the one step pks in the beginning but then started to struggle to read them so I stupidly bought the very expensive CB devise. I say stupid because I feel like I have given in to this huge company whom are making a lot of money from desperate ladies like myself. The thing only comes with about 10 sticks and once you've used them all up you can't buy them separately, you have to buy the whole thing again Angry.
However, I must say that I did enjoy seeing the smily face!

Ah so if I'm not getting preggers - could be because OH's sperm isn't so good. I have had blood tests done recently which showed that I'm good to go, so phew.

Random Q.

I wasn't supposed to ttc last month (well i had decided not to) because it's my cousins wedding in Sept. And I'm a bridesmaid.
Anyway, as we have been trying for what feels like forever (know it's not at all) we DTD and I'm hoping to get a positive next week.

My questions are a) is this really selfish? Because I think that I would feel a tad guilty and she might think that I'm trying to take the limelight from her or something and b) is it realistic to be a bm at 9 months pregnant?

It's not selfish at all obviously it's her day but it's not like a nine month pregnancy belly is going to steal the limelight (just don't go into labour on that day haha) honestly she will be too busy being happy and mingling with guests to think about the fact that she thinks you may be stealing her limelight. I wouldn't worry about it. Oh if you start taking aspirin I suggest coming off it once your pregnant and reach 12 weeks unless ur midwife or gp say otherwise

Zoe, I don't think it's selfish at all. Every wedding needs a heavily pg bm... Only risk is you lo arrives literally on the day of just before, and you miss it, but that would be v unlucky...

I'm such a numpty... Had a moment of weakness and poas... Got a bfn, and although I know it's v early I feel pants... Don't feel pg and now want the month over so can try again... Baby making is not easy!!
