EWCM + OPK help please

Log time lurker and infrequent poster here. Hope someone can give me some advice. Have been ttc number 2 since August and decided to use ovulation sticks after no success the first couple of months. I have a regular cycle between 29-31 days normally. Last month I got a positive smiley face on a clear blue ovulation test at cd18 which according to a 31 days cycle was spot on. Dtd but no bfp.
Today I have had blood stained sticky EWCM so I peed on an ovulation stick (twice) and the smiley face is looking at me. I am not expecting to have this for another week. And even if I had a 28 day cycle isn't this too early. Bit worried and confused, has anyone had this?

Sorry what I meant to say is today is cd10 for me. So very early versus cd18 last month

Hi zebra I've been using the CB digital opk this month too. My cycle is usually 27 days and I got a smiley face on cd9. I think there's a few people on here that seem to ovulate early. I've also seen in another thread a lady was getting a couple of LH surges in her cycle.

Trust the mucus. I got pregnant after DTD on CD11 (and not again until after bfp).
