Anyone fancy joining me on a 2ww thread?

Technically I should be on the January bus, but as I've only just ovulated I only feel able to look ahead to a possible bfp now, and the Jan bus is already 10 pages long! I was reasonably active on the November bus, and did join the December one, but hardly posted, as I was convinced (rightly) that I had no chance of a bfp that month.

So, anyone fancy joining me for a 2ww thread??

My boobs are killing me today which is unusual for me. Still got 7 days before I can poas according to ovia.

Lucinda I'm with Celen. There's definitely still a good chance of a bfp for you.

Lucinda totally agree with everyone else, definitely a chance. I'm in a similar boat, we were on a camp bed in a house full of relatives over Christmas so no opportunity to DTD until we got home so I think we may have missed it this month. But i keep thinking that it only takes one sperm to get through!

I'm thinking I'm daft for starting ttc in the Christmas month! I'm new to all this body monitoring and so when I first looked at my fertile days, they had fallen right in the Christmas/ new year week meaning I've been trying to stay off alcohol.

I've just ordered some of those ovulation tests but they haven't arrived yet so I've just been using an app to help me track my fertile days which I realise is not all that reliable.

Is anyone testing soon? X

Just wondering if anyone else has redone an OPK in the 2WW and noticed it getting darker again? This is my first month of trying so I thought I'd just see what happened - I had peak on Sunday and then over Monday OPKs went back to negative and then to absolutely no second line. Yesterday no second line. Today a light one and another getting darker. It seems odd (and I assume is just a base level of LH being picked up) but just wondering if anyone else has the same?

Hi bubbles, mine did this! I did one out of curiosity on Monday which was a week after I had ovulated and it was dark. I did one again today and it was negative. So strange! Hopefully someone will know what this is about, but you're not alone!

Hi i wanna join for the 2ww.. but im not TTC.. just new here.. i had my period last dec 7 and has a regular 35 day cycle. I took an ovulation app and it says there that my ovulation date was on dec 28... i had sex with my bf 2 times. First was on dec 20 and the 2nd time was on dec 26th with unprotected s*x.. Im 28 yo now and ive been feeling a little odd now. Im having slight cramps, backaches especially around neck and lower back. I dont have sore boobs but i notice they got bigger. I feel like im always tired and just wanted to always lie down and sleep.. i have headaches too that come on and off... earlier i just had my breakfast and it feels like evryhting i ate doesnt go down yet thru my stomach.. im confused now if im just having a PMS or could i be pregnant? Ive been feeling all these for a couple of days now.. Please enlighten me.. thank you..

Hi Alice. Welcome to the thread. If you did actually ovulate on dec 28th then it's unlikely you'd be experiencing pregnancy symptoms yet, as you'd only be 3 days past ovulation (3dpo). I don't think you usually start experiencing symptoms until implantation has occurred, which is usually around 6-10dpo. But it's possible you ovulated earlier than you thought, in which case it might be early pregnancy symptoms. It's hard to know! Hope that helps.

Thank you namethattune.. its very clear now to me to experience those symptoms too early.. i just dont know if the app is accurate or maybe i ovulated much earlier than i thought.. i guess only time will tell until i miss my next period.. stress could also cause delay.. so i better try my best to relax so i wont get disappointed by then.. hehe.. happy new year! Hi everyone,namethattune ill drink to that well pretend to drink just in case! Caved and tested early really cross with myself have all my usual af syptoms and some cramping and not due till 7/8th, this happened last month but it turned into af so really dont want to get my hopes up, now I feel crappy, its never going to happen! X

Thank you hilzypop Flowers I hope you are feeling a bit better today? It's such a struggle keeping level headed about something you want so badly, I have very positive days where I think what will be will be, then I have manic days where I Can't bare it any longer and cry and wail and feel so fed up im going to call the whole thing off!! I had a mini meltdown at my poor OH a few days ago because we didn't dtd when I ovulated. He thought we had done enough leading up to it which I know we had and he is much more easy going about the whole thing. but i couldn't bare the thought that we hadn't done everything we could and we could potentially be looking at another 4 weeks before I would be fertile again! The wait it so frustrating.and people say relax and it will happen but it's the hardest thing to do! Anyway - I know the days leading up to testing are incredibly hard, thinking of u and sending strength and good luck! Fingers crossed for a BFP x

I'm 6dpo today, and have a tiny bit of spotting. I'm trying not to read too much into it, but it's so hard!! Anyone else want to indulge in some symptom spotting with me, so I don't feel like such a crazy woman?

lucinda thanks still a bit up and down but determind to stay positive. Yup i did the same to dh-'lets stop trying' the thing is i know i couldnt stop trying I would still be getting my hopes up each month! Its really silly but I really didnt want a big age gap between dcs dh thought a bigger gap better. So by the time we started trying i was desperated for dc2 and wanted it to happen quickly. Ive put way too much pressure on myself which cant be helping! Just want to relax but easier said than done!

Celen I think I'm a day behind you (4 dpo) - also beginning to warm up for some serious symptom spotting and craziness! Not looking forward to it really.

Hilzypop - that all sounds very similar to my experience! I was ready for another baby when DS was 2 (he is now 4) and I didn't want a big age gap - but we didn't TTC due to financial pressures at the time. I kept telling my DH that we might as well go for it, said nothing was guaranteed and it could take months to conceive and even then there is a chance of miscarriage. But he was adamant we wait till finances sorted. Sensible, I know. But unfortunately I feel I have self prophesised everything that has happened since we finally started TTC 10 months ago. But - I keep trying to tell myself things happen for a reason, and waiting was important and perhaps the age gap is best. My son will now be at school by time we have another baby and perhaps that's going to make things more manageable with a newborn?? It's still hard though and I do ache for another baby. It feels such a long work in progress and not something I'm used to as DS was a surprise baby.

We will get there though!! Feeling optimistic today - but that can all change in an instant!! It is such a roller coaster.

This is our first month trying, I'm 6dpo and already caved and did a test this morning :-D
Luckily we are going away for a few days next week so I'll have something to distract me, will try to hold out until I'm home on the 11th to do another test!

Celen I think it was pink, but it was such a small amount, and only this morning, so I'm starting to think that I imagined it. Or maybe it was wishful thinking!

Due to test on thev6th namethattune and desperately trying to hold out! I don't have an hptbat home at the money so that is helping!! No symptoms, just feel normal! But I didn't know I was pregnant before until almost 8 weeks so who knows!

Name that does sound like a really good sign but wouldn't want to offer false hope If you implanted, you may get a +ve on an hpt at 8/9 dpo? I'm quite excited for you! Grin

I'm assuming ETD means estimated test date (day AF is due?) but not sure what 2WW is?
