So I'm late, normally due around 20th although not totally regular. Been trying since July for dc2...always very disappointed when not pregnant. Is it too early anyway? Half of me wants to know (can I drink etc) other half doesn't want to spoil Christmas by being down etc. What would you do?

Test! Christmas is a great distraction if BFN and then at least you will know and won't be wondering over Christmas

Argh op I'm in a similar position although I'm only 1 day late! I'm not testing because I'm not late enough and a negative will get me down a bit (have been trying for no 2 for ages). BUT if I was 4 days late I would definitely test (and will be if I get that far!)

I don't have any tests in the house and no time to go to the shops so no temptation here!

Yes I do keep thinking about it but am persuading myself it will be negative so I'm not disappointed however the distraction (and case of wine we were given!) Would probably help... arhh now too nervous!

I so know what you mean about persuading yourself it's negative. I'm just feeling every twinge and thinning it's the start of my period. My back is a bit achey so I'm assuming my period is on its way.

foxes fingers crossed for you- I do have a test in so that doesn't help if I didn't would probably put it off. Been at my parents last few days so was waiting to get home to decide what to do. Told dh on drive there and he thinks should test today. ..

You need to test so you know if you can drink over Christmas. Test.

Let us know what the result is! (hoping for BFP for you)

Test! At least then you can drink tomorrow without feeling guilty if it's a no, and a lovely celebration for a yes!
