Morning all, thank you I am hoping to go and buy another one or a few today, feel very poorly today, massive headache very tired and this metal taste is just making me worse, plus we are moving in a couple of weeks and have my little ones 2nd birthday party on Saturday so have lots to do, we have people coming to view the house this morning at 10 so we have to go out :-( it's too cold and I have zero energy!! I am going to try a non digital test over the next few days.. I don't know some of the lingo- what is DS, FRER, DD, etc xx

Morning. Sorry I've been a bit quiet - DP has been ill so I've been doing all the childcare. On top of that DS is teething so has been a bit up and down and his sleep is all over the place.

pulled I hope your dad is on his way to recovery. I have a DF with a long term condition which has resulted in lots of hospital stays recently and I really sympathise. Have you told you family yet? Hopefully the excitement of the impending new family member can help you all through the difficult times.

kellz, cockles and mimi lets hope that February is our month. AF gone today so planning on DTD tonight. I might get some aspirin. Got some Evening Primrose tablets which I started on yesterday and already taking magnesium and B6.

Quick question. Had a look at the SMEP. Last month DP and I DTD every single day as I was determined not to miss it. If I followed the SMEP then we would need to DTD less. Do you think this would be more effective or less? I don't know if I should continue with the every day routine or tone it down.

If u got the energy for it i would say go for it theants.that way u know u didn't miss the window.Hope yo dp is feeling better.when do u test.fx its your month too!!

thanks mimi and theant I'm trying to look after myself but I've completely lost my apetite. I've got no sickness or anything I just feel full all.the time. I've been forcing myself to eat but I'm only managing little amounts. im taking pregnacare so hopefully the little bean is still getting all it needs. theants I've told just my mum n brother not my inlaws. I wanna wait till I've had the scan to tell them as I want to be sure it's a viable pregnancy. I've not told my dad either, I want him home before I tell him.

Hey all, more ovulation confusion here...4 days high fertility before peak yesterday, which was accompanied by bbt drop, however, bbt remained low today when i expected it to rise...does that mean no ovulation or perhaps today??? Dtd last night but don't think i can push my luck again. Anyway, i hope you're all well and that your/your family ailments are disappearing. Wishing all a happy Thursday and baby dust.xx

Yey for all the departing AFs, and FX for this month! AF still staying away (she'll be two weeks late at weekend) so may splash out on some expensive pg tests this weekend to see if they show anything

Can't remember who was asking about SMEP ( sorry read all posts and forget who wrote what ) but I was under the impression that it was best not to dtd everyday as a mans sperm is better when the have a larger sperm count ? I would need to look it up but I think if u wer tracking ovulation it would b best to save up for that time for best chances , I may b wrong tho X

Jen Iv never used charting so not sure but if u dtd enough over ur fertile period I think u still stand a good chance ( the body is very confusing ) wish u good luck X
Pulled hope ur dad is doing ok , sorry u have bn feeling low , probs a mix of what u have been going thru and hormones ! I remember feeling shit at the start of pregnancy , it's hard to shake the anxieties X hope ur feeling better soon x

I have been feeling rolling sensations at night and hearing babies heartbeat and kicks on the Doppler is nice too X

Had a terrible night last night with terrible cramps and diarrhea after drinking 3 caprisuns! Had no idea they would have that effect on me ! Lol feeling much better now although afraid to drink them ever again ! Lol I don't recommend it !

Jennie from what I know about OPKs and temping it's the temp rise that shows you actually have ovulated. So you can get a CB peak which indicates the hormone surge before ovulation but doesn't actually prove its happened. If that makes sense. Last month I ovulated late, and had 2 temp dips but it was the second one that was followed by the proper rise, so I kept DTD til 'd seen the rise. So I guess if you get the rise tomorrow, you'll have DTD at the right time, but if you don't you could squeeze another one in tomo? (Sorry, that's a bit long winded!).

AjP have you tested again yet? I looked again at yours and in different light i could see the faintest line - the streaks going across start there i think.

Im on cd18, 1dpo i believe, although bbt is only back at what it was pre ov this morning, but as it coincides perfectly with end of fertility window and bbt dip for last two days i think it's a fairly safe bet...i expect it will be slightly higher again tomorrow. Fingers crossed!! Another 2ww begins!!

I've been paranoid that you all may think me callous for not mentioning MIL for a while...truth is I'm terrified of the future. She is still in acute stroke unit and we are awaiting the results of MRI because contrast dye CT showed potential for another bleed and they're trying to work out if they can do anything about it. She's only 60 and her parents are both still alive and in their 80's with parkinsons and a tumour on the brain, her husbands mum died at 61 and his dad at 64, my DH is an only child, MIL is the grandparent my 8y.o. DD is closest to and I'm just worrying about the impact on everyone if something even more serious were to happen. Hence it's actually easier to not say anything and pretend ttc is the biggest thing going on in my life...otherwise i may crumble. I hope that makes sense, but then I'm not sure anything does atm.
