Are early pregnancy testing kits worth it?

On cycle 2 of ttc dc3 ... I am on CD20; usually ov day 13/14 but am not sure this month due to new medication. My post-ov symptoms are not the same as usual in that, for once, my boobs are not painful. But, I have been waking/restless in the night; had sharp uterine pains that woke me in the night last weekend (that was possibly me ovulating late) and I felt very nauseous at times yesterday (and once today).

Should I just wait for another week and see? If I got a first response, I could test on Monday.

I've never conceived quickly, I might add. Dc1 took 9 cycles and dc2 took 24 cycles (and Clomid!)

The 2ww is a torment all of its own ...

6 DPO is very very early for any test and you are unlikely to get a positive even if you are pregnant. You may as well wait, otherwise you'll just get a string of negatives and may have well of waited anyway.

That's what I thought, thanks for replying. I'd forgotten how consuming symptom-spotting is, as my youngest is almost 4yo!
