Late for period and confused

Hey people ,, so I'm new to this and so confused at the moment I am now 5 days late for period,, on the day of my expected period I had some sort of brown stuff when wiped but nothing else ,, I have never been late ,, I took a pregnancy test and it was negative ? X

Have you recently come off contraception? Are you ttc? When did you take the pregnancy test and which brand was it? Also have you been under a lot of stress lately as that can mess up your cycle.

Come off the pill over 4 months ago. Been trying to conceive since ., and always stressful in my day to day life .

Get a first response test and try again in a day or two if you haven't had AF. You may just be having a longer than normal cycle or you may have ovulated late.
