january bus!..anyone for the long journey to bfp!

Hi everybody heres my story been ttcbaby no 1since sept. I have long cycles typically 42days!Sad been with my partner 12yrs..just had af on monday so am out for this yr ..but positive thinking new year new luck..ne ladies in the same boat want to share support/stories x

back on the bus for January Sad continuous POAS activity due to AF being a week late but arrive it did (at least in time to allow for Christmas drinking)

ttc#1 and this is third cycle of trying post implanon removal. Now CD10 so expect to be testing about 17 Jan.....

fingers crossed everyone :)

Hey can I join too. Not feeling very positive that January will be our month, but I have to try a little positivity!
Think AF is trying to make an appearance (Ps not good with these abbreviations, but learnt that one through Google).
Hate the term trying to concieve as it brings disappointment!
I'm 32, been 'trying' for first baby since October 2014 but had 2 losses along the way. Last loss was early August, my head and heart is ready although my body has other plans. Hoping 2016 will be a good year.

X ..not been on here in a long time been busy with xmas etc. I started the bus left it in your capable hands now im bak lol has there not been one bfp ?!..im on cd 30 of a 42 day cycle long ass wait cant test till nxt sunday aagh the waiting game begins again everyone have a nice xmas with dp and dc..

Remember the + on the OPKs indicate the surge before ovulation! So you won't ovulate for a day or two after that, and then the egg is viable for a day after that!

Mind you, after all my own talk, no shagging this evening. Baby has been a nightmare all day and we're absolutely shattered after a day of toddler tantrums and we have to leave in an hour. Neither of us can rise (ahem) to the occasion.

Hopefully tomorrow will be enough!

Interestingly tonght I'm getting a line thats really almost as strong as the control line on the opk. Not a clue whether to consider it a positive or not......

After I wrote that, I then researched and you're right Annarose! Although as you get older, the time between the surge and egg releasing is shorter apparently...all very interesting Grin

Anyway we sadly didn't manage to do it either but hope the 4 times in the last week will be enough Hmm

I'm 2dpo only...god I hate the 2ww. Last month wasn't too bad with Xmas looming but now there's nothing to distract me! How's everyone else doing?

After a lot of dtd over xmas,af just came full swing yesterday at cd19 imagine !!ttc is the worst i tell u.i hve run out of ideas if af comes even before the tww eish!!

Aww, Bindi that sucks. Glad you'll be hanging around though, Jan might be your month yet.

I'm 9DPO and thinking about doing an FMU test tomorrow morning just in case. I'm not really an early tester usually but it'll influence whether I drink or not on NYE so I feel like I should. What are you guys doing?

Annarose my experience of a positive opk much earlier than expected in a cycle has always been when my body has geared up to ovulate but hasn't done so and I have then had ovulated later on in the cycle. I just wanted to give you the heads up that it might be worth doing a few more OPKs, just in case... Hope I am wrong in your case and you have caught the egg though. I always believe in dtd for a few days after the first positive too

It's only a quiet-ish night at a friend's so I could easily sneakily pour my drink into a plant pot or something (forgive me, prosecco Gods) but I'd rather know so I can drink guilt free if it's a BFN. I'm 95% sure it didn't work this month because I'm getting stupid pre-AF pimples on my chin as usual... Come on womb, you lazy fecker. SORT IT OUT!

I'm going to tentatively step on this bus if you don't mind. We have a DD who is nearly 16 months and would like to start trying for another. DH wanted to wait a bit for financial reasons but I think he's come around to my way of thinking now which is that if we until our finances our completely sorted we could be waiting forever as something is always going to crop up (I'd like to clarify here that we're not on the breadline or anything, just DH wanted to pay off a car loan etc). I'm still on the mini-pill right now but thinking of just stopping it on January the 1st so I can drink guilt-free over NYE and just seeing what happens, although I suspect the first month is realistically going to just be about getting my cycle back to normal again. Plus DD is teething and up every sodding night, so how much energy me and DH will actually have for sex is questionable My cycle is normally about 28 days though so technically not impossible for me to get a BFP by the end of January, and DD1 was conceived pretty quickly (second month of trying).

So the stats are:
Age: 30
DH age: 34
TTC: #2
Cycle 1.

Fuzzyowl thats occurred to me too. Am definately gonna keep using the OPKs forthe the next 10 days just in case I have a few surges.

One positive thing is that I do feel the vitamins are making some difference. I never got such a dark line last month, and have very sore pre-menstrual boobs so definately some hormonal level has changed. Whether its changing the way I need it to remains to be seen! Grin
