Hi everybody heres my story been ttcbaby no 1since sept. I have long cycles typically 42days! been with my partner 12yrs..just had af on monday so am out for this yr ..but positive thinking new year new luck..ne ladies in the same boat want to share support/stories x

Hopping over from the dec bus. Hope this is a lucky one for us all!

Currently a little confused - this morning I got a v v v faint line on an internet cheapie hpt. It looked similar to the almost invisible line I got at 9dpo with DD. BUT only when i looked at it about 20 mins after taking it, so definitely not within the time limit. I also got the strongest opk I've ever had at the same time - darker than the control line. I tested again this afternoon on a FRER and no discernible line even after taking the test apart. Is it even possible to get a positive opk if you're preggers? Thinking the first hpt line must've been an evap, although I know when I've got BFN's on internet cheapies before there was absolutely no line, even after the time limit/the next day etc. argh!

Hi English. I've read (on here somewhere) that OPKs also pick up pregnancy by the point you've got enough hormone to get a positive HPT. Never tested it myself though so it's only anecdotal. I'd just keep doing the HPTS. Sounds promising!

I'm a bit hungover this morning. Usually I don't have any booze during the TWW but it's Christmas and I'm probably not pregnant anyway so I've made an exception. FYI, Amaretto Sours are both a taste sensation and the work of the devil.

Bfn But I used one of my many cheapy tests, and the little part where the dye runs across wasn't working til i put my finger on the 'Pee' part to hold it down! Think I'll pick up some FRER today and test again in the morning.

Still waiting for my positive opk. Haven't done one yet today so feeling hopeful, it looked a little darker than usual yesterday. Typical though that DH isn't feeling well...

Hi mimi, fx for you this month!

Kitty another negative on the cheapy OPKs for me this morning starting to feel like I'm not even going to ov this month... This is what having a baby does to our bodies, totally messed up at the moment! You'd think after 10 months my body would be back to normal by now?!

Normally 29 cycle 13 day luteal phase

Currently on cycle 6 of actively trying although have been off pill for nearly 3 years
On CD 19 ovulated yesterday
Dtd today and past 5 days so really hoping for a BFP this time

Was very upset and confused last cycle as ovulated on 29th November, then had slight bleeding on day 11 and 12 of my cycle which I thought could be implantation bleeding as was too early for AF only bled for 2 days and I always always have heavy painful bleeding for 6/7. Kept testing and getting BFN then got a faint positive 20 dpo was so excited but crushed as it must have been wrong, as even though AF never materialised I'm not pregnant and just ovulated yesterday so I don't know what happened but am keeping hopeful for this cycle. So I've basically ovulated when I would have done if my cycle had been normal. It's all so hard when you don't know what is going on with your body and I swear it's because I had an appointment at the doctors where he told me they will test day 2 and day 21 of my cycle and then I don't come on!

I've just done another FRER and BFN again so must've been a false alarm/evap. Oh well, hopefully the strong OPK means I'm about to ovulate for the first time since I stopped bf. watch out DH!

I'm using ic opks this months (usually spend £££ I the CB digital) and I think I'm getting a surge! Yay! DH better be prepared for some serious nooky, yesterday he was all "I'm so tired"...whatever! Man up!

I've used them before and could never tell when I had a surge before but I'm trying a different brand and they seem to be working for me now, yay!

Anyone going to be testing on New Year's Day at all? It would be a great start if there's a bfp!

Ok so I'm CD17 & dumbfounded. For reference my cycle is 40 days and last month got my positive opk on CD27 as expected.

This month I've been taking Vit b6 and Magnesium. I half expected an earlier +opk but 10 whole days earlier????

I don't even know what made test tonight tbh. I wasn't going to start till Day 20!

Yep that's definitely a positive! Go B6! It changed my ovulation from CD19 to CD13, it's amazing stuff, get DTDing

Five dpo here. No symptoms at all. AF is due New Year's Day. Half tempted to POAS NYE but I've never had a BFP before CD14 so not much point really. Might not stop me though

My boobies don't hurt this month (7DPO). They usually do by now. Do you think it means I didn't ovulate?

Bfn again this morning I'm feeling pretty gutted tbh. With dh working abroad for 3 months at a time and even when he's home no guarantee it'll be during ovulation, I just don't know when we'll get another chance Having a pity party for one just now.

Oh wee that sounds really hard You've got every right to feel sorry for yourself, please make sure you treat yourself? How many dpo are you? It can happen up to 12 dpo.

11dpo today. I know you're right, it's not over til the witch shows up, but I think I just know I'm out.
I never thought my age would get to me either! I'm 36 now and have become hyper aware that things 'can' go downhill now. But I've also realised that I can't give up trying. I so desperately want #4 to complete our family. It just feels right.

Oh wee really sorry, I feel your pain. I've had two BFN now this month, not even a vague hint of a positive. AF due New Years day. Boobs are excruciating today but I think it's a period rather than anything else. DH has been off for 3 weeks (bar three days over actual Xmas Day) so I was putting way too much hope into our first go, he's home most weekends until April, but it's always sods law that he will miss the ones that count! Then post-April he's back once a month with a mammoth 3-4 month tour at some point before the end of the year. Grrr

There's still hope then wee!
Still no positive opk for me, CD19 now is it possible to not get a positive opk but still ov? I'm testing twice per day, fmu and midday, have done since CD10. Clutching at straws!

I have fx too for you wee. Work is rubbish! Annoyingly seems like I have work commitments when my fertile times will be over next few months :(
Still no positive here either mini but got EWCM yesterday so can't be far away. I think you can miss an OPK, sometimes it's there for a very short time. I read it was best to OPK about 4-5pm, which is why I use a CBFM because I would never manage it then!

We did celen though it's not v sexy when your DH isn't expecting it and has just snarfled 2 small bags of Doritos!

Anyway just cos the surge is over doesn't mean you can rest! Keep at it for 2 days after it fades!

I'm flipping knackered and have to go out to a "do" this eve, and the thoughts of having to wearily DTD before the babysitter turns up.......and having to get all dolled up as well......AND there's a storm starting so I dread going out at all.

It's not exactly a turn on!
